Dave to the rescue
I'd been previously let down by an electrician and was getting quite stressed trying to find one for some pretty urgent work that I could actually trust to turn up and do it. Dave to the rescue! He came to see what needed doing and sort a quote, knew it wasn't going to be easy and didn't sugar coat it but also didn't try and scare me. Agreed a date, turned up on time, work was done swiftly and didn't leave a mess. Will be getting back to do more work.

Consumer unit upgrade
I was seeking to upgrade my household electrics to facilitate a future install of an electric vehicle charging point and install air conditioning.
Within 24 hours of contacting D.Carter Electrical Ltd a survey visit was arranged to take a look and discuss my requirements. I was sure I would need a new consumer unit as my current one was totally full and over 25 years old. The survey went well and I felt at ease with the assessment. David is very polite, likeable and speaks plainly.
The works agreed was to install a new (Crabtree) consumer unit and 2 fused spurs to supply air conditioning.
On the day of the works David arrived punctual and commenced work straight away. He had to adjust my cabinet which houses the consumer unit, this was neatly done. He worked very neatly and carried out the works as agreed. Whilst installing the new consumer unit a fault was identified on my lighting circuit, he swiftly identified the problem and then provided a solution, rectifying the fault.
The fused spurs were installed on the outside of the property, and David drilled through my walls accurately and with no mess or damage.
David completed all certification and notifications required.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience from start to finish, very thorough, exceptionally tidy and I would not hesitate to use D.Carter Electrical Ltd in the future

We recently had several electrical jobs completed at my parents’ bungalow, including installing a garden floodlight, loft light, garage light, outdoor socket, garage double socket, a new wired smoke alarm, and putting up a light fitting.
From start to finish, the service was excellent. Everything was completed to a very high standard, with great attention to detail, and the work was left clean and tidy. He was punctual, friendly, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly.
The pricing was fair for the amount of work carried out, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use him again for any future electrical work. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy electrician.

Excellent electrician.
I found out to my cost that there are some less than reliable electricans around. Dave definetly isn't one of them. Everything was done to a high standard to the price he quoted with excellent communication all round. I would recommend D Carter electrical to anyone and i will definetly use Dave again for any future works.

Excellent work
David was recommended to us as a very competent Electrician, who prides himself with always finishing a job to a high standard. We asked him to relocate a large Pendant Light from our Lounge to our new Dining Room, which didn't have a central light fitting. In its place, we wanted a very large Fan Light to combat the extreme heat we have been witnessing recently. The Fan is working really well and the Light is lovely and bright with a dimmer option. The Pendant Light was more problematic. David suggested a WiFi Switch, which negated the need to channel into the wall, which was a great idea. As with all large Pendant Lights, it took quite some time to get it level. David was very patient with us, and made sure we were happy with it, no matter how long it took. We are delighted with our new Lights, and we would not hesitate in recommending David.

Full rewire excellent service
David fully rewired my house for me. Loading with me regarding where to put lights, sockets etc. he ensured all cables were hidden in the walls, excellent job completed. Used him again for my outside lights, extension and electric car charger. Really friendly, helpful and cleans up! Would highly recommend
