I travelled on an Exodus Tour of The Five Stans in June 2026.

We had a great trip with an excellent itinerary, excellent tour leaders / guides and drivers along the way and a varied and interesting variety of experiences in each of the countries. Our welcome was always very warm, we had some great accommodation (including the yurt camp) and food along the way and the whole trip was very well run. It's full on and there is a lot to see and learn, but it worked well as the tour leaders were all so knowledgeable and good at imparting their knowledge.
Big thank you to Jabbar, Tahir and Vitaliy for their excellent and hard work.

Travelled with Exodus UK in a group of 12, in May 2026 to Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan. A very well organised trip with two excellent guides. Vitaliy Krikun our Kazakhstan & Kyrgyzstan guide was very well organised & informed. A good sense of humour and made the trip very enjoyable. Well done Vitality.
Our second guide was from Uzbekistan Khaitov Dilshod. A very pleasant man, extremely proud of his country & really knew his stuff. Always punctual and nothing was to much trouble. I would highly recommend both of these gentlemen. You would find it hard to better them. Thanks chaps you made our trip along the Silk Road one to remember for all the right reasons.
Just a footnote to say this trip is a full on trip. No rest days or much freedom. Some long travel days, having to share facilities with fellow travellers.
The booking process from Exodus was seamless, with their staff most helpful.
We did receive an early booking discount from Exodus which made the trip feel good value.

The trip was a unique experience :one we will never forget and we enjoyed the company of the other group members.
It was above all varied, educational , enjoyable and companiable
The hotels were excellent ( except perhaps the penultimate stay for only one night in Khujand ( Sugdiyon Hotel), which was an older Soviet style place, (magnificently located though!) The best was a swap arranged by the guide from the Atlas Hotel to a superior hotel in the same chain!
Thoroughly recommend Trip A Deal and especially for its Best of the Stans 21 day trip.

Our Trip a Deal Best of the Stans was fabulous. Real value for money. The booking process was smooth & efficient. The company rearranged flights when the conflict in Iran caused fuel problems & all changes were communicated well with us.
Our guides were outstanding, especially in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan & Tajikistan. Hotels were a good standard & close to the city where we were staying.
Sites visited were interesting & appropriate for the time we had. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Central Asia.

Great peoples, magnificent buildings and landscapes, safe cities and towns, knowledgeable, fun and caring tour guides, Svetlana (Kazakhstan) Valentina (Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Ilhom (Tjikistan), and Dadakhon (Uzbekistan) as well as excellent drivers, comfortable hotel rooms and buses, generous breakfasts, abundant and delicious fresh produce ... all of which made up for the long hours on the road, suspension dust and some squat public toilets.

Our walking group tour of Kyrgyzstan was amazing. A truly beautiful country revealed to us by our excellent guide Valentina. We enjoyed the respectful and informative cultural experiences. Had lots of fun too!

Tina is an expereince tour guide. Knowledgeable in the history; friendly and helpfully, her instructions are very clear.

The tour was well planned and a great mix of spectacular hiking and cultural insights. Our guide and driver, Valentina and Sergey, took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to show us the best of Kyrgyzstan. Hugely recommended!

My daughter & I had the pleasure of having Valentina as our tour guide, and I must say it was a 5-star experience. Valentina is incredibly knowledgeable and skillful, providing insights that truly enhanced the tour. Her expertise made even the most mundane details fascinating, and she was adept at engaging the group with her storytelling.

What impressed me the most was her ability to answer questions thoughtfully and her passion for the subject matter. Additionally, I would like to commend Sergey our driver as well. He drove smoothly and was very helpful with our luggage, which made our journey more comfortable. Both Valentina and the driver contributed to a seamless travel experience, and I would recommend this tour to others.

For a UK based traveller visiting a country as remote as Kyrgyzstan can be quite a big step. I booked a 10 day group tour via Exodus which was a mix of hiking and sightseeing traveling by minibus. We had an excellent guide (Valentina) who is looked after us well and was interesting and informative. Our driver Sergei felt very safe and his vehicle was clean and appeared well maintained.

It was a truly wonderful trip and met all my expectations!
Valentina was an incredible guide- so knowledgeable, engaging to listen to with a great sense of humour and amusing stories to tell. She was also very kind and attentive when I was ill with altitude sickness.
Sergei was an incredibly safe driver covering miles without complaint
The country is a feast of beautiful mountains, gorges and waterfalls, perfect for trekking.
The food was delicious/ plenty of fruit and tasty salads from the supermarket and two days of homemade food at our home stay at Kochkor.
The stay at the yurt at son kul was an oasis of peacefulness with wide open plains stretching far around us and snow topped mountains framing the lake

Valentina was a very attentive, informative and enthusiastic guide. It’s obvious that she loves her country. She was a little direct for some of the group but very caring. The age group was 30’s to 80’s so it was a challenge to accommodate everybody but seemed to achieve this very well. Valentina’s first aid skills were put to the test as was her patience, she coped well. The bus was a bit cramped and uncomfortable but the bus driver, Bogdan, did a good job on many unpaved mountain roads.

Great culture Mosques Minarets Masoleums..Great Guides. Great History.

A great trip. All three guides (and also our drivers) deserve a five star rating for their guidance, friendliness, humour, patience.. above and beyond .. to ensure we experienced the culture and beauty of their countries safely and comfortably. Many thanks to them all. The tour encompassed long days and being on the go the whole time but was well worth it.

We had excellent guide, Valentina, who had a wealth of knowledge and experience in both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. She went out of her way to make sure we saw and did everything.

Vitali our group guide for 7day Silk Road tour of Kyrgyzstan and Kazahkstan was amazingly knowledgeable, informative, friendly and supportive. Stunning landscapes, fascinating history, good accomm, well paced variety of activities and great food.

Travelled the Silk Road with Exodus. Really well organised trip with better than expected accommodation. Vitaliy, our guide was brilliant, full of information on places and people with anecdotes thrown in for added colour.

First time in Central Asia and an overwhelmingly positive experience. Our guide Vitaliy was excellent with clear insights into history and culture of the region all delivered with a smile. It's a wonderful place to visit and I'm leaving with regret!
