When my husband and I decided on a destination wedding, I was overwhelmed at the thought of finding the best resort for us. My cousin referred us to Destination Weddings, and they made the process so easy! Jocelyn Batlas was a dream to work with! After we filled out our online profile, she immediately contacted us and got to work. We had a short timeframe to plan, as we picked a date just a few months out (engaged in April, wedding in December). She helped us quickly narrow down resorts, and then stayed in constant communication with our guests to get everyone booked. We had one guest who was very picky, and Jocelyn handled them with grace and professionalism. And when my elderly uncle missed his flight to the wedding, Jocelyn helped him and his wife get quickly rebooked and notified the resort. She also helped immensely in our communication with the resort as we worked with our planner. Jocelyn was just a phone call or text away throughout the process and was always very responsive to my questions. We definitely recommend Destination Weddings and highly recommend Jocelyn!

I've had such an amazing and smooth experience booking with Janice Gwilliam. She has been so thorough, friendly, informative, accommodating, and on the ball! Weddings can be so overwhelming but Janice mad everything so effortless and simple! She responded to every email within minutes and answered every single question I asked and gave very informing answers but also went above and beyond offering upgrades for more comfort!

I 100% recommend Janice! I'm going to Mexico for my best friends wedding but if I ever do a destination wedding I will for sure be reaching out to Janice!

Our wedding experience was fantastic! Sue guided us toward a resort that fully met our needs, and she took us through all of the steps of the process. Putting weddings together can be stressful, and we were grateful to have someone who could keep everything on track, especially as it got closer to the date. Five stars are just not enough to express our gratitude for Karen! We were told right after we booked our resort that we were getting someone new to work with and wasn't sure what that would mean for us. From the very start, she made our wedding journey incredibly smooth and joyful. She handled all our bookings, transportation, and the countless little details with so much care and grace. We booked our destination wedding through Destination Weddings for our April 2025 wedding. We met the promotion credit requirement for rooms booked and traveled and paid the room block deposit.

Per our contract, our final reconciliation and refund were supposed to be processed within 90 days of travel — meaning by July 2025. We’re now well past that deadline, and despite multiple follow-ups, we have not received our group deposit refund or our promotional credit that was clearly outlined in our agreement.

Even worse, on August 29, 2025, our coordinator confirmed in writing that our credit would be processed within 30 days. That deadline came and went with no communication, no update, and no payment.

At this point, the company is in clear breach of contract, and we’ve had to seek legal representation just to recover what we’re owed. What should have been a celebratory post-wedding wrap-up has turned into a frustrating, time-consuming battle. Once they have your money, the communication stops.

If you’re planning your wedding, think twice before using Destination Weddings Travel Group. Oh and let’s not forget we had to change travel agents because the first agent, Veronica, was unresponsive. We had multiple complaints from our guests and loss of rooms with guests choosing book directly due to her lack of communication. The follow-through with this company is nonexistent. We expected professionalism and accountability — instead, we’ve been ignored for months.

This experience has completely soured what should have been a joyful memory.

Absolutely awful experience. Planner cancelled first 2 appointments. Then no response. She didn't even send venues that she said she would or respond to a follow up email. It's been 3 weeks and it's been radio silence.

Amy is always a joy to work with! I’ve been working with her for over 6 years now and this is my 4th vacation she’s planned. As always, she is very responsive, timely and stays on top of everything that you can think of. I told her what I was looking to do for my 40th Birthday and she selected a great resort. Hard Rock was massive and we didn’t even have to leave the resort. The customer service, food, drinks, esthetics everything was top notch. I was going through some personal things the week prior to my departure and Amy stepped in and told me not to worry about anything. She literally had my guest direct all questions to her and I just showed up! She handled everything and even offered her prayers for my situation. It’s not everyday you encounter good genuine people like Amy. Can’t wait to book the next adventure with her!

We are using DestinationWeddings.com for our wedding, and the resort that they connected us with is fine, but the Destination Weddings service is laughably underwhelming. They force you to go through them in order to speak to certain resorts, get a large kickback from said resorts, and provide poor customer service. We've had to use them for all of our booking process for our guests, which has been a headache from start to finish.

Majestic Elegance in Costa Mujeres is a top tier all inclusive resort that treats all their guests like royalty. I would highly recommend this resort.

Doing a destination wedding is a 10/10! I would recommend it to everyone! Going through destination weddings was a such breeze! I had ZERO stress on my wedding day because the resort we picked had everything handled and under control! We got paired up and Amy and she was the best!! She took what we gave her and found our dream location to get married at!! My family and myself had never flown out of the country so we had a lot of questions, Amy was very patient and thorough with all the questions and explanations of how traveling outside of the country works. I didn’t have any worries because she had everything handled! I had ZERO wedding stress through the whole process and a lot of that was because Amy did such a great job explaining how things will work and answering questions has they come up! She’s a 10/10💕

My fiance and I were able to work with Susan from Destination Weddings. We had a last minute change of plans in wedding planning so we did not end up booking and ended up more local, however, Susan was great the whole time we talked to her! We first set up a call in August. She instantly got to know us and gave us great recommendations of resorts we would want. She helped us find resorts that fit all of our needs from family friendly to budget friendly and everything we wanted. Even though we didn't end up booking, the whole planning process was very easy with Susan. She was great at answering texts, phone calls, and emails making it very easy to communicate with her with all my questions and concerns. I was super heartbroken to have to let her know that we were unable to move forward with our destination planning a month later, but she was very understanding, which is why I felt it necessary to leave my review for her! If I were to continue planning a destination wedding if all other factors allowed, I would 100% use Susan!

Her patience, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail truly stood out. She kept us updated every step of the way—sending emails, setting up calls, and making sure we fully understood all of our options. One of the things we appreciated most was how she carefully went through every part of our contract with us before we signed, answering all of our questions thoroughly. That level of care gave us so much confidence and peace of mind during such a special time in our lives.

Susan’s organization, responsiveness, and ability to get things done made the entire experience seamless. We felt truly supported, and it was clear how much she cared about making this moment special for us.

We had carrie as our wedding specialist and she did not disappoint anytime we had a question. She answered her phone call or email in a timely manner even if she was out of the country for work she handled everything and anything for our wedding. she made the process so much easier. she contacted the hotel overseas to get me an immediate response. If I had a question, she got in touch with my planner in Aruba immediately , who was also amazing. without carrie this wedding would not of been as perfect as it was. she interacted with my guests in a timely manner and helped them with anything that they needed, which took that off my plate! she sent out many emails to my guests about travel documents, invoices, and anything that they should know regarding the wedding. she not only made the process easy for me. She made it easy for my guests! 

I’m glad we went with Destination Weddings in booking our most memorable day of our life. Sandy was very attentive to our wants. She was also quick to answer and respond to any questions. Once we were passed over to the resorts wedding planner, Sandy was still involved. All our needs, wants, and desires for our wedding/honeymoon were exceeded. The sort was perfect and beautiful. Everyone was very pleasant and so helpful. The overall cost of our Destination Wedding was very impressive. Way cheaper than I could have imagined, we wanted simple and yet our moneys worth. This was it!

Working with Amy was the best decision we could have made for our destination wedding in Mexico. From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful, organized, and attentive to every detail. Planning travel for nearly 50 guests could have been overwhelming, but Amy made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Amy helped me to plan the wedding of my dreams. Having one person to handle all our travel needs and getting us connected to the right resort was the best. Having a destination wedding was the best thing we could have done. Everyone loved it. It took so much pressure off of me as the bride.
