They canceled my service without my permission with no past due invoices. They refused to remove their 400.00 cancellation fee from my bill. I filed a complaint with bbb. I received a call from Melissa in their escalation department. Instead of fixing my bill, she shouted me down repeatedly, and refused to correct their error. Next step is filing criminal fraud charges with the ohio attorney general.
Directv is a f**kin rip off!!
Directv is a f**kin rip off!!! All they care about is getting their money. They provide poor service and are overpriced!!! The same shows are played repeatedly and they provide nothing new to watch. The cable service sucks! The non-speaking English customer service sucks! Don't waste your money. Get a bunch of streaming apps and you'll pay a lot less then what they charge. They will definitely be out of business soon!!

Always trying to increase charges stating various discounts ended. After 35 minutes on the phone and them not honoring the commitment made last month - I have parted ways. The frustration is not worth the service provided.

I can no longer get my local weather for my area. I get oklahoma city weather which is 90 miles west of me. I used to get tulsa weather which is what I want as I live just south of tulsa. I can't even purchase tulsa local as extra any more. I've had direct tv fir years but will be looking for alternative that offers tulsa as local for my area.

The guide started being bad by reducing the number of channels I could see at one time. This happened in Jan or Feb 2026. Today mar 6, I turned on the app. Had to re-sign in and now the guide screen is a half size and only shows what is coming on for 1.5 hours. What is wrong with you people and who did you recently hire to re -vamp the app. PUT IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!!!! and get rid of that company

Cancelar el servicio me tomo mas de 3 horas, desde las 10 Am, por la linea telefonica, me pasaban con varias personas y nadie atendia mi solicitud. Su IA por Whatsapp, indica que dentro de la cuenta puedo realizar la cancelacion, pero esto nos es asi. Que desafortunado y tan mala experiencia como Usuario despues de ser cliente por varios años.

I had a very frustrating experience with DIRECTV. I called specifically to cancel my service because I am currently unemployed and trying to cut expenses. Instead of processing the cancellation, the representative suggested pausing my service for three months. I questioned this because I didn’t understand the point, and I was reassured that I would not be charged during the pause. Based on that information, I agreed.
Despite this, I was still charged for an additional month. This unexpected charge caused serious issues with my checking account during an already difficult financial situation. When I contacted support again and showed that I had been told I wouldn’t be charged, I was only offered a 50% refund, which feels unfair given that I relied on the information provided by their own representative.
I did not consent to being billed after requesting cancellation, and the lack of accountability and partial refund offer was extremely disappointing. Customers should not be misled into service pauses that still result in charges, especially when they are clearly trying to cancel due to financial hardship.
Something happened a few months ago…
Something happened a few months ago that really affected the service I receive through DIRECTV. Now very often when we try to rewind a recorded program the app shuts down and we have to start all over. There are many glitches in the system these days. It is getting to the point where I am looking at other providers to record my programs.

Their ad said 5 day free review. I tried to sign up but couldn't on the app. I called them, and they tell me it's actually 14 day free trial. Im like"awesome". After about twenty minutes of questions and information being exchanged, the lady asks me if I was gonna watch the superbowl on direct TV later thay night. I told her I wanted to watch celtics as soon as I could. She then throws me a curveball and tells me I can watch it on my phone for free. I had to wait to get some stupid device to watch on my TV for free!!!! I could watch on my TV but my debit card would be charged $8.00!!!! I told her that the ad said free trial, didn't say anything about free trial on phone, not my tv!!!! I told her that it was false advertisement and I wanted to cancel everything right now!!!! 3 days later I got that stupid device in the mail!!!! I email them 3 times with no response!!! Direct ripoff tv!!!
Terrible connection on DirecTV
I have had DirecTV for 4 months & I constantly get the message “when the network is heavily congested your video may not play smoothly“ when I turn on the tv or even change channels. This message has lasted as long as 10 minutes before I got so frustrated & tried other station or turned the tv off. I have changed channels & sometimes the message is not there & other times it is. This is frustrating & a rip off, paying for something I can’t watch. I hav never experienced this with any other network. I am in the process of canceling DirecTV & going to another Network. Direct TV what a mistake
Switched from Dish to Direct TV about a year ago, what a mistake. Constantly loosing volume completely, loosing connection to external speakers,TV locking up, spinning center orb waiting to connect. Never had these problems with Dish. Your reviews say it ALL!!!

I have DIRECTV with Xfinity for Wi-Fi because unlike it's competitors Direct does not have Wi-Fi services with the Dish or at least I've never been offered that so I'm paying almost $70 to Xfinity for Wi-Fi and DIRECTV when they were with AT&T had Wi-Fi but they auto paid three times in one month on my checking and blamed it on AT&T which they still haven't resolved and it was them all in the while that did the fraudulent offer that if you ever do promos they will retroactively take them out but they never informed the customer that and now my most most economical package that was $84 is over 90 and actually had to have the FCC intervene and the one from the office of the president Patricia who rectified my account now is not there and there is no customer service that is accurate

Don't get direct TV they are the worst service I have ever had since Cable tv became a thing. We canceled in August 2025 while on the phone with them to cancel service we were told to send back equipment and we had to pay for the rest of the contract we were under, it was over 200 dollars and we paid it right then and there and the very same day I packaged up the equipment and mailed it back same day, I followed the receipt and made sure they signed for it. Here it is Feb 2026 and they are saying we still owe money these guys are crooks

This company is a straight scam! I called Xfinity to upgrade my cable package and by mistake reached a 3rd party vendor selling service. The agent I spoke with said they partnered with Xfinity and lead me to believe I was upgrading adding a feature. This was false they signed me up for a new account with direct tv eve. When I still had Xfinity service!. Once I found out 2 days later I had another separate service account I immediately cancelled 2 days later however they direct tv said they mailed out equipment I never asked for, 2 days of service,ya ok. Well now I’m being charged for equipment right out of my bank account. But this is the ultimate kicker.! I tried returning their equipment and they said go to the post office so I went to the post offices and they said go to fed ex do I got to fed ex and they said go to the postal office!!! Making it impossible for people without the means of transportation to return equipment that was never eve. Requested ! To in my opinion take money right out of the bank accounts of those who don’t even have service with , now this was a n eye opener for me ! This company is a scam !! Beware people beware

I have canceled my subscription with DirectTv services multiple times and paid DirectTv termination fee DirectTv keep billing my card any way so I canceled my card now Im receiving emails saying if I do not give DirectTv a new card DirectTv going to renew my contract. So here is what I have done. I filed complaints with the CFPB + the Texas AG office next I'm going to File complaints with FTC & BBB Resolution I want a letter and an email stated that my contract is terminated and that I owe DirectTv nothing.
