Terrible interface, terrible customer service

I signed up for Sling TV to have access to French channels (TV5Monde, etc.). I paid for the annual subscription since it was cheaper. Such a mistake! It was so difficult navigating the app through my tv. It was difficult to access the actual channels I wanted. I basically had to search for shows on my computer and then add to my account to watch via my tv. It was such a terrible experience that I unchecked the auto renew box in my account. I haven't used Sling in over 6 months, but, lo and behold, I just realized that I have been charged the monthly fee for the past 3 months. I never received an email saying that my annual subscription was ending and that I was about to be charged a monthly fee. When I reached out to the customer service chat, they insisted that I should have read the terms of service better and that there was no button to cancel auto renew. I haven't logged into Sling since the summer (well over 6 months) and they insist they can't refund me more the last month. It's also impossible to remove your credit card information or even delete your own account!

No service for 4 days and they didn't do anything to correct it

Had to give them a one as can't post with zero. I asked if they were going to prorate their charges his answer was no. They couldn't figure out the issue and was on their end.

The audio and video are out of sync on…

The audio and video are out of sync on my dvr all the time. And glitches constantly. Like when ffwd it shows the program in the small view but when you push play its in the middle of commercials. Basically their live streaming is shit.

Sling does not care.

I don’t even need to say anything. Just read the reviews. They don’t care. They make millions I’m sure and we are the suckers.

Service constantly cuts out. Get better for a week or so then goes right back to buffering and crashing.

Not ONE reply to all these bad reviews. They don’t care. They’re kicking back with their padded wallets watching some superior service.

Beware of service and refunds.

Program we wanted was out of network blackout and no refund given within 30 minutes of buying sling day pass. Very poor customer service afterwards. Jovie was difficult and did not care. Unhelpful and took our money. Didn't watch program. Beware.

This is a terrible company with worse…

This is a terrible company with worse customer service, the agent abruptly left the chat, I paid for Package under the pretense I will be able to watch a specific show I even upgraded since they said that what I needed I was not only not able to watch what I paid for but they refused to refund my money, I paid for a service I didn’t receive, it had been under 24 hrs. Ten out it ten do not recomend.

I signed up for a one day pass and somehow it turned into a monthly subscription that I just found out I've been paying for 5 months. When I reached out to get this billing issues fixed they told me they can't make mistakes and they the most they could do was refund one month of service. Unfortunately I had to stop the charges via my credit card. With better options like YouTubeTV sling will not be around much longer if they dont fix their customer service.

Their customer service is trash

Their customer service is trash. I have had issues with billing after some service changes. I prepaid 3 months but because there were some changes, they still charged me monthly payments. Their response is that they cannot help since I'm paying through PayPal. They would not waive 1 month of payment even though I paid for 3+1 months due to their horrible system and lack of customer service.

I tried to set up service with sling…

I tried to set up service with sling yesterday. Couldn't get to the basic log in on my TV. After contacting customer service who wanted to reset my password several times. It did not work. I knew what the password was I couldn't get to the screen to even put in the user name and password. After 30 minutes of zero help. I canceled the service. If this is how their customer service is from the beginning I'll go elsewhere for TV.

Sling cancelled my subscription because…

Sling cancelled my subscription because they said Apple Pay didn’t pay the bill; even though on our CC says they paid it.

I finally got to talk with a customer rep and they said I could resubscribe for a higher price. lol. No thanks!! Don’t recommend Sling based off of poor customer service and tricky changing the price.

Was 5 stars, now barely two.

After making subscriptions adjustments, I lean that SlingTV has been double charging me for months! Trying to fix it is impossible unless you don’t have a full time job. They advertise great, with lots of good service options and upgrades available at a good price. The problem is GETTING THEM TO HONOR THEM.

Lied to by customer service agent

According to online I should have been able to watch a specific show on the Sling day pass. Turns out I couldn't. So I wanted a refund. The Agent tells me a refund isn't available at that time. Then when I questioned how it was they couldn't do a refund. Suddenly the Agent could do a refund after all. It is unacceptable to be lied to by Sling TV. I wonder how many others accepted the lie. When I asked to speak to a Supervisor. I was flat out told no. Then he disconnected. How is that channel even in business?

Sling Is Worst of all other Streaming services

I've tried 80% of the streaming services, and none are even close as bad as Sling is. The only reason to use Sling is it is a bit less expensive. But that's the only l positive cause the service itself sucks. I will be watching a show and the end is cut off, it as your fast forwarding or anything to what your watching or looking to watch the app will just kick me out and go back to my fire TV menu. I don't understand why their service is so bad but is the last service I'd use again, unless it's all you can afford.

An All-around Bad Experience

Signed up for the 5 month sports package for College Football. The service was awful--constantly lagging or the audio was out of sync. Watched on different devices (Mac, Samsung TV, LG TV). I have Wired internet throughout my house. So, yes, I have ethernet cables connecting to my household computer and all the TV's throughout. Logging on Safari never worked. Had to use a different web browser. That would have been ok if not for the constant buffering/audio problems.
Just for context, I have used Youtube TV and Hulu in the past for college football season in the past and never had as much trouble with either than I did with Sling.

Also, the interface to find games is abysmal. I would search for games and they would not be listed. I missed about 10 high profile games because either they weren't shown or the interface didn't list them. I signed up to watch college football and half the time I couldn't watch what I wanted.

Finally, I signed up for a 5 month subscription. Apparently, they consider this a promotion.....I'm absolutely positive I didn't see anything showing that this was a continuing subscription. I was charged $75.99 at the end of January and February 2026. I could only find a chat function...they did refund the Feb. charge but refused to refund the Jan charge. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they "hung up" on me. I am now in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card.(I didn't catch the Jan charge when I paid the CC in feb.--so my fault there)

You get what you pay for and the low cost of Sling doesn't justify the poor service and shady sales tactics.
