Bad quality and ever worse customer service. Bought 3 barber chairs from here and all 3 starting dropping to bits after 1 year.
All wheels fell off the foot rests and cannot be screwed back on due to the thread also wearing away due to cheap materials used.
Bolts drop off the chairs constantly and bases leak oil.
The customer service is non existent, I contacted customer service via WhatsApp to which they just read your messages and completely ignore you with 0 response.
Worst company iv ever used
If I could give less than one start I would. The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. The backwashes that they sell perish within days of using them. When you call them to try and get the issue sorted and fixed they tell you it’s a perishable item and you need to pay for new pipes. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Terrible company, con artists and thieves making sub standard equipment don’t spent you money with these jokers

This is my experience with this company (Birmingham branch.) Do not be fooled by their reviews that are good, they go above and beyond when you’re buying the furniture & tell you to leave a good review after!
I Ordered my salon furniture & wanted to spend the extra and have a massage function in the basin chair.
I opened my salon in September and contacted them in the December to say it’s faulty. They lied to us and said that they had sent out a replacement piece for it & said it’ll be here no later than the Monday before Christmas. We’ve just been completely ignored they do not care. As soon as they have your money you don’t exist. There is 0 customer service. We’re werent asking for this world just a replacement module for their shoddy furniture.
Whenever we have called their number and actually got an answer, which was very rare, I was told “you’ll need customer service for that.” We went to the store to get our furniture there is no customer service. Just an office with a couple of computers with said phone in. We are just completely ignored.
We are now In talks with Trading standards over this.
Dir store, don’t even bother replying to this asking “send us an email & well sort it urgently” you have many many emails and correspondence about this that you have point blank chosen to ignore

Every time I asked for an update they would tell me next month and when i asked for a refund they would keep telling me that no one is in to process it. In the end I managed to get my bank to refund me the money. This company is a scam and Im still shocked its still operating.
ABUSIVE AND FRAUDULENT
I’m writing this review to share my experience so other customers can make an informed decision.
I ordered a salon chair after speaking by phone with two different members of staff, both of whom confirmed the chair was in stock and would be delivered within 3–5 working days. Based on this information, I placed the order.
What arrived was not the chair I ordered. The item delivered was a completely different model, clearly labelled as such on the box.
Only after the incorrect item was delivered was I told that the correct chair would take 16 weeks — information that was never disclosed at the time of sale. Had I been told this upfront, I would not have ordered.
At the time of raising the issue, the company’s website still showed the correct chair as in stock, which directly contradicted what I was being told.
While the chair was eventually returned (with receipts), the process was stressful, confusing, and poorly handled. Communication was inconsistent, and at one point I was spoken to in a completely unacceptable manner during a phone call.
This experience caused significant stress, particularly as the purchase was for a business opening and required reliable delivery information.
I would strongly advise anyone considering ordering from this company to get all stock availability and delivery timelines confirmed in writing before purchasing, and to be cautious if time-sensitive delivery matters.
Avoid this company! Don't Purchase! You will regret as me

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered a chair from this seller and never received the item, despite the website claiming it would arrive within a few days. After the delivery window passed, I checked the tracking information only to find a fake delivery report saying the package had been delivered and signed for — which is impossible, because I was at my store all day and no one ever came to deliver.
I contacted the company multiple times, provided proof that nothing was delivered, and asked for either a replacement or a refund. Instead of helping, they kept repeating the same automated responses and refused to acknowledge the falsified delivery status.
At this point, it’s clear that this feels like a scam operation. I paid for a product that never arrived, received a fake delivery confirmation, and got zero support afterward.SCAMMMM

It turned out that the bed roll was part of the bed and did not have another charge and no stool arrived.

Avoid purchasing from this company at all costs. I purchased a salon chair in February 2025 for my home salon and was told over the phone that it was in stock and would be dispatched the following day after payment was made. I paid straight away and had to contact the company 4 days later as I had no notification of an impending delivery!!! When it was finally delivered a week late, the base of the chair was the wrong one….. I contacted Dir straight away and was told the correct base would be sent within 14 days……A delivery was made in May 2025 containing the same incorrect base as previously…. … move to June 2025 and I still haven’t received the chair base that I ordered and paid for. Continuous lies are told and not fulfilled and now the company does not reply to any messages!!!!
Shocking experience with DIRstore
We purchased new wash basin chairs from DIRstore for our salon, All Made Up Boutique in Godstone, just 9 months ago. Unfortunately, one of the chairs became faulty (completely broke) a couple of months ago—it won't turn on, and the leg extension is stuck, which is both inconvenient and a potential trip risk. We are now left with an useable chair, which is greatly affecting our business.
When we reached out to DIRstore over two months ago when the chair first broke, the response was unhelpful, dismissive and at some times, downright rude. After appealing repeatedly for a response and solution; They sent us a replacement part that appeared used and didn't match the modern switch in our chair. It was incompatible (as confirmed by our professional handyman, who installed the chairs originally) and seemed like an afterthought. This shows a complete lack of respect for customers who have spent thousands of pounds with your company.
Despite our efforts to resolve the issue, DIRstore's customer service has been lacking. As per the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we are entitled to a repair or replacement for faulty goods. DIRstore's failure to address this adequately is disappointing.
We hope this review helps others make informed decisions.
If we receive an adequate solution and better customer service response, we would be happy to amend our review. But as it stands, we are shocked at the lack of a polite, respectful and helpful response and any solution.
No customer service
Bought 2 backwash units for a salon refit. The were delivered on time and I put them in storage unopened for 2 months until we were ready to fit them. Upon opening I realised they were the wrong colour (unsure if this was my fault or their ordering system). Called the Birmingham store, no answer. Messaged through the online chat, no response. Messaged through WhatsApp and bingo they responded. They point blank won’t help as it’s outwith their “cancellation” period. I explained that I’m not wanting to cancel just to change colour but no answer to that. When I checked they had 44 seemingly in stock according to the website but they messaged me and told me they were out of stock and lo and behold their quantity available online changed to zero.
I was going to buy more items from them but after this experience and reading the other reviews I will avoid.

please DO NOT, order from this company. I have ordered a bed with electric foot pedal and chair which is all pictured in the advert ,with no optional extra. When the bed arrived there was no foot pedal, when I messaged to address this a was told it was an extra and need to pay an extra £200 and it will be 14 weeks until delivery, although this not stated anywhere!!!called to adress this and twice spoke to someone very rude and was hung up on and lied to, saying there is no picture of the foot pedal, when I have a screen shot of my listing (which has since been removed).Absolutely disgusting service . Asked to speak to a manager or for a mangaer to contact and told there is no manager and was hung up on again?? Asked for a complaints email and was given a logistics email as they apparently dont have a complaints department or a manager?. The worst customer service I've ever encountered.

Currently have a claim ongoing in court against the company as they didn’t deliver one item I had ordered from the London branch. It was a reception desk which I paid £399 for. They are rude, unprofessional and difficult on the phone and don’t respond to emails. Started legal proceedings in January and now waiting for the bailiffs to go in. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

We purchased the Clinical Beauty Treatment Chair Apollo-2G from DIR Store three months ago, and the delivery was significantly delayed. Despite countless calls and emails, they have completely ignored our repeated requests for an invoice.
Even worse, when we managed to reach someone on the phone, the staff member’s attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional. This level of customer service is simply unacceptable.
If you value reliability and professionalism, stay far away from this company! There are much better suppliers out there who actually respect their customers.
