I would never repeat my Subscription
I signed up in Feb 2025 and my subscription didn’t end until 15.03.25, so I decided to cancel my subscription and requested deletion of my account it stated I couldn’t delete my account until my subscription ended, made sense to me.
Today I tried to access my account and I still have over two weeks left and I couldn’t login in so I contacted Disney through there chat, she told me she could re-activate my account I said no just delete and refund my remaining days left she said provide your card details so I did.
After providing my card details, she stated she could refund but could re-activate my account I said no just delete she told me it takes 30 days to delete, so let’s remember today date is 26.02.25 so why wasn’t I allowed to access the service if it takes 30 days to delete an account when I had actually paid for and Disney won’t refund.
I was being victimized because 1 I wanted to cancel and 2 I wanted to delete my account when it takes 30days to delete an account.
To chuck me out when the T&C state cancel whenever you want, lesson leant won’t sign up again. By looking at these reviews I’m not the only one who’s treaded badly by Disney, Amazon and Netflix I never had a problem with these companies ever.

I would give 0 if given the option. After 3 hours of trying to subscribe, we are no further forward. Our money however, has been taken. Tried contacting via live chat… nothing happens. Tried ringing… no answer??? Scam???! Now I have the arduous task of cancelling the payment from my bank.

Programmes freeze when an ad should play meaning that as often as not the show has to be restarted. Baffling that so many streaming services have an option for subscription with ads but only Disney plus fails at such a simple thing.

Awful app
Awful app, it's never worked properly, I've just spent my Friday and Saturday evening trying to get it fixed over a chat. Nobody to complain to and won't offer compensation for the months it's not worked properly.

Im a university student. I am the one who pays for my disney i paud for the year which cost me £80 and then it tried saying that my uni tv is outside my household so i messaged disney trying to fix it and apparently although im the paying customer i would have to pay extra subscription for me to be able to use it in both places i live. The person was rude when i asked if there was a superior i could talk to to try and resolve my issue as they didnt have anymore information for me and i know i wasnt a karen about it at first cos im a retail worker and know how it feels. I ended with no discussion and i will not be renewing my subscription as i planned.
Very poor
Very poor! Great if you have never subscribed to Disney+ before as you will have a few months to watch all the good stuff but honestly they rarely update with anything new on there so it’s a waste of money in my opinion. I had it for months n not one new movie appeared on it so I will never go back unless it’s for a free weeks trial to watch a new Marvel movie/series. Avoid as literally all other streaming apps are way better.

Subscription pause is a joke as soon as they reactivate your account you get charged again for a full month even if you re-pause it again on the same day, you can only cancel subscription if your account is active you can not cancel on pause but they push you to pause your account,
Phoned them up in the end and got a re-fund and they cancelled the account with out any problems.

Disgusting, they are now sending emails saying "we will require ads on programs including programs in the ad free plans" so if you pay for no ads, they said F you, we putting ads in and taking your money for no ads plan. how is this legal? i canceled my disney plus, between this and their woke crap, im done, my child wont know disney.
Ok app but hard to removed things
This is ok things available great but only let down is that you cant remove things from watch list on tvs even though have watched full film or episode its still showing that you havnt watch full episode. Should be able to remove items through app on tvs

My subscription was coming to an end and as the debit card on file had expired I did not bother physically cancelling because I thought they couldn’t take any money from me.
WRONG!
They somehow got hold of my new card details and renewed my subscription without my knowledge!
This is just pure theft!

Awful customer service
I have been a long time customer of disney plus but have had to cancel today. I keep having to have my account reset by an advisor as I keep being told I'm not part of the household. I'm am not password sharing, I have checked my devices which are all my own in the same household. My IP address has not changed. These are the two reasons their advisors keep giving for my account having technical issues even though this is a recent issue and my Internet provider has not changed. I have explained this to the last two advisors I have spoken to who have ignored everything I have said, one blamed my Internet provider and the other said nothing and just reset my account again and told me they were happy they could help. I have no issue with Netflix or my other subscriptions and I'm not going to keep fighting to use a subscription I pay for which is a shame as I love the content but cannot watch it due to the technical issues.

So I have been a long term customer of Disney plus, as it has a good variety of options but most importantly a lot of what I would call “gentle watching” if you want to watch something without an attention span and that doesn’t jar your vision.
I got offered a freebie via my phone provider and so when I clicked to cancel and to later rejoin with my freebie I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a discounted rate for the “standard+” subscription.
I had been told that I had to cancel because otherwise I would end up with two subscriptions but that I could not then accept the discount rate and pause and also get the second freebie subscription.
The customer service agent didn’t seem to be really listening and honestly it’s January, we’ve all overspent and to be offered a freebie and a discount seemed unreasonable to them make me pick one. I am picking the freebie and they’ve lost a premium subscriber.
There’s not that many films left I’m interested in anyway so I might just delete it after the three months…
