Wish I had discovered DNAfit years ago, it has made such a difference to my health and well-being, through a greater awareness of diet, work-outs and day to day living.

The DNAfit genotype analysis and reports were amazingly helpful...and the follow-up call from Carmyn was also illuminating and interesting. I’m a pensioner and my only regret is that DNAfit and genetic science were not around when I was young because it would have changed the way I exercised and ate at an earlier age and I’d be in a better physical state than I am.

I purchase the healthlink for myheritage users for discounted price. Received an email with my order number. Received another email to finish setting up my account. Signed in and found no link to upload data from my heritage. i have sent or received anything at all. tried to email and call number where nobody answers and havent been given a response at all. Basically, I am screwed.

And please DNAfit do not reply the “copy and paste” response you have given to everybody else in here.

The gene test results have helped me understand the best type of hypertrophy training for myself and also the best type of diet and nutritional support in order to fuel my goal of maximum muscle gains. Not only that but when the original consultant couldn't answer my detailed questions about the biological processes behind specific gene variants I was straight away offered a follow up with a consultant who could answer my questions without me even requesting it.

The idea that I could somehow "hack" my health and fitness regime by understanding my DNA profile was something that really appealed to me.
I already had a DNA profile from Ancestry.com, so I paid the £51.75, uploaded my profile and within only a few minutes of placing my order for the Health Link product I was staring at a fairly comprehensive set of reports.

In general, I found the reports to be interesting and informative and they (somewhat generically) suggest how the results can be used to improve my diet and exercise results.

Compared to the standard DNAfit testing, my Ancestry DNA profile was missing some of the markers, so 7 of the 40 reports could not be generated. In the list of reports with "Data Missing", I was quite disappointed to find the "Alcohol Response" and "Caffeine and Sleep Response" reports. During the purchase, I was warned that not all reports are available when using Ancestry data, but I don't recall if the specific reports were mentioned so this could definitely be more explicit.

As part of my purchase, I also received a 15 minute consultation. Well, it wasn't 15 minutes for sure. The Coach was several minutes late, and we were done in probably 8 minutes. The instructions for the call tell you to read the reports and be prepared with questions. I read the reports and the additional information on the site, and other than confirming my understanding was correct the coach added next to nothing.

I was also under the impression that my purchase came with a personalised meal planner, it didn't. If I want access to that it's an extra £5.

In summary, the reports are interesting and somewhat helpful in a generic way. The consultation that could make it personalised only confirms or clarifies what you can read for yourself in the report. Be careful to read and understand what is included and what is extra! Considering I supplied the DNA profile from Ancestry.com, I think £51.75 is expensive for the analysis that is performed. That said, I had the results in minutes and obviously it's a price I was willing to pay to get some insights into how I could "hack" my health and fitness.

Very informative. Definitely a good tool to have in order to optimise health and fitness. It's great to know how my body works with regards to diet and exercise.

I've had a long-term illness that's had my GP's and specialist consultants baffled for over a decade. One quick and painless test from DNAfit gave me a profile that was clear on what I needed to follow in terms of my diet as well as exercise and help me back to health.

I also took the additional Sleep and Stress markers test which was well worth it as there was information in there I'd never considered.

Overall this was an eye-opening result well worth the small investment in my future health. There's results in there I'd never got from all the battery of tests I've had over the decade spent visiting my GP.

I opted for DNAfit because I wanted to see where my pitfalls were before starting my training program.

A great insight and a well laid out report, certainly help pick up my flaws.

I don't bother writing reviews often but was really impressed with DNAfit and the insights it gave me for my diet and fitness.
I bought it last year so I write this a year after implementing the suggestions.
On the basis of my DNA I was recommended a diet I would never have picked but which has been really successful and easier to live with than I expected.
I've also changed my approach to fitness training, reduced my focus on cardio in favour of strength training, which I never would have considered.
The process of doing the test was super easy. The reports are excellent, helpful and implementable. The one-to-one appointments with a dietitian and personal trainer super helpful.
I really recommend DNAfit as the personal insights and suggestions have been super helpful and the process and support excellent.

The test is very good, but all the service after that is useless, I didn’t have any help after getting my results, the call was practically a girl reading me my results that I already have in my email..

Very easy to do and very informative! The follow-up phone calls really helped me change my exercise routine to one that will help me strengthen my weak joints!

Company provided option to have test done as a Christmas present.
Swab arrived quickly, easy to follow instructions & posted at royal mail post office.
Results returned very quickly online and able to login and get pdf reports of results. I used the service of speaking two people - one about diet & nutrition and the other about exercise. I'd recommend definitely doing this as this was where I learnt most information.

I ordered this kit after reading good reviews. The level of detail is exceptional and it's given me a real insight into what I should and shouldn't be doing. Yes, some of it I knew for sure, but some I did not. So, adapting my fitness regime to suit my body type is an exciting challenge for 2021.
Overall, highly recommended.

I was able to upload my data from 23andMe easily and results were processed very quickly after that.

Unexpectedly most valuable was the included nutrition consultation. In a 30 minute scheduled phone call, I received a huge quantity of information, helping clarify and understand my results.

This undoubtedly led to real changes in my dietary habits and may have contributed to helping me stay healthy this year.

Really helped me figure out my diet and sports, in a way I've not been able to before.

I bought these tests for my partner and I so we could improve our diets, exercise regimens and overall lead a healthier lifestyle. Initially we had some difficulties with the test in that one of them arrived and could not be activated properly, it took a good couple of weeks to get this issue resolved which was a bit of a downer but it did eventually work out.

We took the tests and a week or so later had our results, the results themselves are pretty well presented with a good mix of complex information for insight, but also clear explanation of that information too. My only gripe with the results themselves is the potential that isn't being utilised by DNAFit, which they could have used to help us better meet our aims when buying the test. They could surely provide a 'position-in-the-population' type of view which lets you know how common it is for someone to have a higher need of a certain nutrient or to have a better response to strength based exercise. In this respect whilst the test relies on very complicated DNA-based knowledge to tell you more about your body, the conclusion it draws have to be quite general as often you're looking at a case of 'if gene X is present then you are Y'.

One of the more valuable parts of the experience was actually something that DNAFit should probably emphasise more, the 30-min consultation. This was what allowed me to tailor the results much more to my lifestyle in order to make the improvements I sought.

Overall if you're interested in getting the most out of your body and doing what's best for yourself then it's certainly worth getting a test, if you're expecting some kind of hyper-targeted insights though you might be a bit disappointed.

You gain a lot of information that explains why certain food makes me bloated or feel sick the next day. I love that they took time to explain all my results to me as well.
