Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, we enjoyed and valued the sessions, the pace was good and atmosphere was encouraging. Always something new to learn when bonding with a new dog. Happy to earn our certificate and proud of the progress we have all made.

A fantastic five week course for puppy gundog training. Sarah explained each exercise clearly which helped us understand how and why we were working on them. In turn that ensured we were giving the right message to our puppy. Sarah and Annie are very knowledgeable about dog psychology and incredibly calm and patient, helping both dog and human! If the exercise didn’t go right they seemed to have a solution. I feel Truffle and I learnt a huge amount in a short length of time. We both highly recommend these classes and are looking forward to the next stage.

Having just finished the 5 week puppy gundog course I highly recommend it to any new dog owner. The staff are highly knowledgeable, friendly and happy to offer advice out of class times to nip behaviours in the bud. A relaxed atmosphere with humour added in when things don't always go to plan.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable-happy to answer any questions and give advice.
Happy to answer questions outside of class times.
As a family we have learnt so much during this 5 week course and will definitely be doing the follow on group.
Many thanks to the whole team.

Having just completed the Puppy Gundog 5 week course, I can highly recommend Sarah and Annie. As well as learning some basic training techniques each week, they were on hand to answer questions and offered helpful advice for adverse behaviour at home too. Sarah is very knowledgeable and we were confident in following her guidance with our strong willed and very energetic spaniel. Her own dogs are testament to her training skills. Everything was well organised and professional whilst personal and friendly. A great course.

Oscar is a very strong willed springer. Sarah and also now Annie have worked wonders with him. He will always be a work in progress. I have still alot of work to do with him.
The knowledge they have is amazing. Highly recommended.

Great website full of information.easy ordering easy payments, response is perfect the best i have come across. Thank you dorset dog training 🐾🐶

Would highly recommend Dorset Dog Training. We attended the Loose Leash Walking workshop on 23rd May for our large over excited Goldie who can pull like a train and never walk past another dog without wanting to say hello! Sarah was very welcoming, non judgemental and have us the tools we need to train him going forward. Within an hour of the workshop he was walking beautifully past other dogs which felt amazing! Still a lot of work to do over the coming weeks but feel so much more confident in getting to where we want to be.

I didn't know what to expect ( first time for a training class ) Sarah was so good explaining methods and how dogs respond to their owners . I learnt alot and feel more confident with my 10 month old spirited labrador. I would definitely recommend DDT 👌

Sarah has precisely the right approach for us, helping us to achieve the "obedience" we wanted for our Golden Retriever.

It's quite a distance from where we live, but it's been worth it as Sarah has helped us to start understanding how we should interact with our dog.

Before deciding to complete stage 2 beginner obedience, I felt like I’d hit a brick wall with training and that we weren’t going to progress any further. Now having completed the course loose lead walking is becoming better everyday a long with other stuff such as greeting other dogs, settling around other dogs and recall. Not only is my dog learning to listen but I have learnt how to train my dog properly. Recommend Dorset dog training!!!

We have seen a few dog trainers before and not really seen any results, but that all changed once we met Sarah! We have a persistent little Dash and a Manchester Terrier with a whole host of problems between them. Through some group sessions and private sessions, we now have dogs who walk perfectly on the lead, have stopped running completely wild in the house and are starting to be more calm when we have guests over! We now have a good understanding of how to train them and get the best out of them and if it goes south, we'll be back!! haha

Just finished puppy obedience training and cannot recommend Sarah highly enough! Class was very well delivered and we were given lots of tips and advice to take away which have been incredibly helpful. Thank you Sarah and Annie! 🤩

Together with Puppy Ted, I've recently completed the stage 1 course. The course was extremely well run and delivered and full of clear direction and tips for owners. There were no loose or fuzzy sections. Each week was well prepared and followed a staged sequence of learning. Most importantly Ted is making his journey to an adult dog with a well prepared owner. I feel confident that I can make a difference to Ted's well being and will most definitely join the next stage - see if I can get Ted to the stage of Sarah - the instructors - dog, who was brilliant.

Within 20 minutes Rebel didn't pull and then another 20 minutes no jumping at the traffic. At home now we go out with him in the garden very little barking whereas before when we didn't go out with him barking all the time.
Sarah is definitely a truly outstanding dog trainer 👏

Sarah is quite literally AMAZING!
Our bonkers 11 month border collie has been putting us through our paces. After training methods we had used with previous collies failed we called in Sarah.
Sarah visited us at home and listened to (or rather saw) the issues we were having. Sarah was completely non judgemental and made us feel completely at ease. She gave us strategies which started working immediately and the improvements we are witnessing are incredible.
Sarah has always been on hand to answer questions along the way.
We start classes too this week which we are very excited about.
Thanks Sarah for being awesome!

Excellent training program, I have owned dogs all my adult life, but the one I have now, I didn't know what to do as he has so much attitude!! , big thanks to Sarah for putting us on the right track,my dog is now listening and seems better for it, I now feel in control.

Sarah has helped us with basic training, and challenging behavioural issues from our GSP. She has a depth of knowledge, and a practical understanding of the psychology of dogs, the causes for their behaviour, and practical remedies to help dog owners get back on track. Whether it is attending one of Sarah’s gun dog training courses, 1:1 training, a home visit or an in-depth behavioural assessment, Sarah combines her depth of knowledge with her ability to put clients at ease, enabling us to build our confidence as dog owners. These are rare skills that make Sarah and Dorset Dog Training stand out as exceptional.

Sarah is a top trainer, this was a great course both myself and my springador gained so much from the experience, really enjoyable.

First met Sarah 9 moths ago for help with our Red Setter never believed that we would reach where we are now !
Attended the pet gun dog course and Rogan will now sit and wait ignore other dogs loose lead walk and even some retrieving 🐕
Will continue to attend courses as having a dog who listens and is great to walk is such a bonus
Thank you Sarah
