Great site for service
Looking for products for the new en-suite I found Draw A Bath to be a great site, a great website selling great names and products with easy search functionality.

Duravit items
Have purchase 2 duravit shower trays. Website gave impression these are available and will be delivered very quickly, specifically “Duravit stock thousands of products in the UK, this means we can get them to you in a matter of days” so I ordered them. Now they have my money have said it is a 5 week lead time and “ Please note you are unable to cancel any made to order items, if the item is non stocked it is deemed as a special order.” This was not made clear at time of purchase and it is not a special order in my opinion it as an off the shelf standard item so I feel slightly conned and lied to by this company. Instead of helping they sent me an email saying please review us in trustpilot so I have.

I have called several times and also emailed, as I have had no response I will reply to your review.
The review feels extremely harsh, information has been cherry picked from our website that only tells half a story, we categorically do not conn or lie to customers, that really hurts :(
The line you refer to stating Duravit stock thousands of products is 100% factual, they do, however it also clearly states enquire here to see if your product is a stocked item, this is a hyper link that opens up an email to check stock.
We also list the lead times for non-stocked items, Duravit will not share stock with any retailer, we literally call/email day in and day out to check stocks when people enquire.
Prior to placing the order you emailed us asking for a discount, I advised we was unable to offer extended discount, at no time did you ask us to check the lead times.
Should you wish to cancel the shower trays we would be happy to oblige and issue a full refund.
If you would like to cancel please advise ASAP as once the tray goes into production we are unable to cancel.
The 1600mm x 1000mm is non-stocked in Germany, hence the 4 to 5 week lead time.
The 1600mm x 900mm tray is stocked in Germany and is available in 3 to 4 weeks.
The toilet and seat are stocked in Duravit UK, we have a weekly cut-off at 12 noon on a Wednesday for delivery to our warehouse on a Monday.
Matki could be another alternative, generally speaking their trays to order are around 3 weeks, we have a phenomenal relationship with them and I could try and push it through quicker if production allows.
I would be happy to offer a split delivery, we could deliver the WC and 1600mm x 900mm tray and follow up with the 1600mm x 1000mm once it arrives into stock if this helps.
As a small business in an extremely challenging economy, reviews of this nature really tarnish our reputation, honestly you could not be dealing with a more genuine and caring supplier.
Customer satisfaction is our utmost priority, this can be seen on the many 5 star reviews we collate.
Unless a retailer has stock the lead times would be the same everywhere, I would be beyond surprised if anyone stock such large Duravit shower trays.
I would be delighted if we could source suitable alternative products for you.

Unacceptable Delays in Sourcing Product
Ordered a bathroom extractor fan as advertised on the website. Informed by e-Mail there was a one week lead time to source the product from the manufacturer. Two weeks passed and when enquired was told the manufacturer could now not source the product until early September? Have requested a refund. Not used this site before, rather disappointing. However had an apology from the company explaining how delivery had been challenging and not within their control and the importance of customer care. I accept this hence three star rating on this occasion.

I was asked to refund your order yesterday, of which I did around 3.45pm, to be honest I did not ask why as people cancel orders for various reasons.
I have arrived in this morning to a 1 star review and write to a) apologise and b) explain what has happened.
We place orders with HiB daily, if it is a large mirror or mirror cabinet we pay extra for HiB to ship on their transport, being fragile products this makes sense.
For small items like fans and bathroom accessories we receive a weekly delivery to our warehouse and despatch ourselves, they do not charge to deliver here, we can ship on courier and it allows us to be more competitive.
When you placed your order on the evening of 16th, we placed it the next day with HiB, we had missed our cut-off for our Thursday delivery as their van does a 2 day run, hence why we advised delivery within 1 week as acknowledged by HiB.
Unfortunately when they came to pick the fan for delivery, they was out of stock, hence advising the elongated delivery date, for this on their behalf I can only apologise for the inconvenience, they should of informed us earlier as we could of advised you.
Customer satisfaction is our utmost priority, this can be seen on the many 5 star reviews we collate.
As a small business in an extremely challenging economy, reviews of this nature really tarnish our reputation, honestly whilst we have let you down you could not be dealing with a more genuine, caring supplier.
Again I apologise for any inconvenience caused :(

Appalling service
I first ordered my bath from a different company. However, they contacted me immediately after submitting my order saying that the bath was a special order item and would take 5 weeks to come and gave me the choice to cancel before placing the order with the supplier. I saw Draw a Bath stated on their website that special order items took 3-4 weeks so instead ordered it from there. I received an order confirmation stating that it was a special order item and had a lead time of 5 weeks and that it could not be cancelled now as the order had been made.
I these received no updates as to when the item was expected in stock (I order a lot of furniture that has long lead times and so expect to receive information on when the item has been manufactured, on its way to the depot, in stock, dispatched and planned for delivery).
Every time I contacted Draw a Bath I was given no information, just that it was expected to get to them in 5 weeks and then after that it would be dispatched.
Even when they received the item in stock last Wednesday I did not get confirmation and had to call them on Friday to confirm and ask about dispatch. They told me that it would be dispatched on the following Tuesday and to expect delivery on the Wednesday (not sure why dispatch takes so long either). I did not get email notification confirming this until the day of dispatch, which gave no details on expected delivery date, the courier being used or anything. I then did not receive any notification from the courier on the Wednesday I was expecting delivery so contacted Draw a Bath again, they gave me a tracking number but did not tell me the courier so I had to contact again to get the courier’s details, where I found out they were delivering on Thursday.
All in all I would not use the company again as they are a pack of amateurs with what seems to be a poor logistics network and no ability to accurately and promptly communicate with customers.

Firstly thank you for choosing to shop at Draw A Bath, we genuinely appreciate your custom.
Our reviews mean the world to us, as does complete transparency for all of our customers, therefore I feel it is only fair I explain this from our side.
Having ordered the bath from another supplier and being told 5 weeks, it would of been prudent to check with ourselves ahead of ordering, we do note our lead times are anticipated and furthermore encourage customers to check stock ahead of ordering.
Every Duravit retailer on the globe orders directly from the same source, a retailer either has stock for immediate delivery or it would be a factory order from Germany.
We immediately advised the lead time upon order, until the goods arrive into our warehouse we are unable to tell you much more, the goods leave Germany to by road, have to go through the ports, they then go to Duravit UK and finally they arrive with us.
We then ship the goods with Palletways and we pay them extra to book the delivery in directly with our customers on a convenient day, the vast majority of customers appreciate this as they can arrange dates and times directly with the haulier.
I do not appreciate my team being called a pack of amateurs, my team are highly experienced in our sector, we have in depth knowledge of the products we sell and always go the extra mile for our customers, fortunately the vast majority of people we deal with appreciate this.
Customer satisfaction is our utmost priority as can be seen from the many 5 star reviews we collate.

Good product but dodgy deliveryry
Great product at a great price. Easy website to use.
However, our product arrived at 8.00 am without any notification of any kind. We could have been away, unavailable or it could have been stolen from outside our house, without us knowing it has been delivered.

We appreciate your feedback and I am sorry to hear that the shipment had not been confirmed ahead of delivery, however I am also pleased that it is there and all is OK
I will take this up with HiB, due to the fragile nature of their products, they deliver directly for us, however they should inform you ahead of delivery
Not sure if you had any missed calls from a random number in the days prior, we do large volumes of business with HiB and I have never heard this happen before
Again we really appreciate your custom and apologies for any inconvenience caused

I was in two minds whether I should reply to this. Your excessive use of question marks already speak volumes.
But please let me also state facts here. I have placed the order on Monday, after working hours so I could not call you. I did call, however, first thing on Tuesday. The reply I've got was that you could not tell the delivery time until you have processed the order. Which you did. At 4:29 pm. At this point, most other suppliers were shut. So yes, please note, I have lost a day on this. I'm sure you are busy as well, but considering I have called you, I wish immediate info were given then and there. I probably still would have cancelled the order, but I would have done it with a much lighter heart and I would have thanked you for your customer service. Instead, I waited a day for an answer you could have told me on the phone, in the morning. This is why I am mostly disappointed and my email, albeit courteous, also points out the fact that you really should advise on your website if something is out of stock. That would be transparent! More than comments like the one below.

How you could leave such a scathing and unfactual review is beyond me, especially having just sent us a lovely email in relation to cancelling your order?????
You have purchased a Duravit shower tray that is not stocked in the UK, it has to come from Germany as it is to order.
We clearly state the following on our website, which by your own admission you have read, as you have referred to this when you emailed us.

Duravit stock thousands of products in the UK, this means we can get them to you in a matter of days.

You placed your order without checking stock and then when informed of the lead time you cancelled the order, this is fair enough, if you cannot wait, then you cannot wait, but to then leave this review makes no sense?????
