It’s important to note, an EA will only visit your property if payment (as part of an agreed arrangement) was missed or late without notice, or if you’d failed to acknowledge our correspondence and have thus not entered into a payment plan.

Absolute thugs
I have been made to agree to something I cannot afford, the only other option provided was to jncrease the debt to allow another department to look at it. Im now stuck to pay an amount they agreed I couldn't afford l or the only other option was bailiffs.

I rang them up and offered 50 pounds a…
I rang them up and offered 50 pounds a week towards a 800 pound debt, they refused as per usual so they can add more on to the debt. Then they said 68 pounds a week which I agreed. They then said I need to pay some right now, to which I replied no as I have no money atm and get paid on Friday... they said they need payment now or they will send bailiffs and increase the debt further... they are no help what so ever... I have adhd and struggle with money and remembering what debts I owe, so they don't care about anyones situation they just want to put people to the breaking point... they are the most unprofessional debt collectors that has ever been.. they need to be shut down and all the staff need to be put in jail for there disgusting behaviour

If you are a vulnerable family do not trust Dukes Bailiffs
“ The UK's leading provider of ethical debt recovery.”
That is how Dukes Bailiffs Ltd describe themselves on their website.
This cannot be further from the truth. They deliberately ignore people when their agents are told that they are a vulnerable family, and they do this with all the menace that they can muster.
They apparently do have a so called welfare hub, but they decline to provide this info to families.
They do not follow govt guidelines regarding vulnerable families.
It took me complaining to my council to have their £225 enforcement fee reversed. This is why they behave in the manner they do. On Google they tell people to contact them.
I had an hour on the phone with one of their arrogant managers who refused to listen to me, and he had an opportunity to point me to their “welfare hub” and did not. Would not accept that we are a vulnerable family.
If you are a vulnerable person, and your council tax is handed over to them for enforcement, contact your council and advise such. It seems that only their clients are able to convince them otherwise.
