Severe delays in transfers to South Africa. No response to queries sent to customer service or any explanation for the delay. Will definitely be using an alternative transfer service in future.

Consistently excellent!!

I have used Easyexchange for a number of years now, from the early days when their website was not a great as it is now. They just carry on giving consistent, excellent world class service.

Efficient, excellent & speedy service!

I've been using Easyexchange for about 10 years and never ever had one single hiccup with them. There service is excellent, friendly & speedy and i would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for honest, reliable transactions with brilliant exchange rates!!!

great service

The service and speed of delivery is excellent. The rates are good too. There was just a little confusion when easyexchange changed banks in SA and are now using a swift code. They could have explained that better and we could have saved a lot of confusion with the SA banks.

An excellent, speedy and reliable service

I have been with Easy Exchange for more than 5 years and their transfers have always been speedy and reliable. The UI of the web site is quick and easy to use. Significantly, if I have ever had a problem, their level of customer service has always exceeded my expectations. In a word: excellent.

Nightmare with transfer clearance in South Africa

I have used easyexchange for several years without too many issues. The website is a bit clunky with account changes, but not a huge issue.

I received no notice of the changes to SA forex regulations with regards to clearance. It is now a nightmare and my money is in limbo with no guidance or assistance from easyexchange. Not sure I can continue to use easyexchange.

Thanks for using us for so many years.

We put a notice up on the login screen, some weeks ago, to remind customers that they may have to pay receiving bank costs and may have to contact their bank to authorise the release of funds. We do not offer advice on SARB or FICA rules but the things you are experiencing a common practice in South Africa.
In our correspondence with you we did our best to point you in the correct direction; to contact the FOREX department of your bank or follow the banks instructions that are probably laid out on their website on how to get your funds released.
We can not contact your bank on your behalf on this subject and it is not our responsibility to carry out your SARB obligations with regards to Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA). This may be a pain but these are the rules in South Africa.
We all get used to doing things a certain way. There has been a change which we think you will find you have to put up everywhere and is probably unavoidable. We are sure once you are familiar with things again it will be straightforward again and hopefully you will continue to use us. If you need any more assistance get in touch.

Correction : June 5th review!

On June 5th I posted a review titked ''Thieves and Cowards''
When I posted this I was very unhappy with the non response to my many e-mails requesting updates to my transfer to South Africa.Soon after the review, i did receive an e-mail advising that there were issues with their e-mail server.
In any event, dialogue was started and we have now determined that the funds were not applied and returned.
Yes, i have been a customer for many years and it is correct that I have never experienced any issues in the past. I just did not know what was happening with the transfer and had no way of knowing if I was going to get any feedback. I guess my review was a way getting some response from someone! Having said this, I do apologise for the title and suggestion, and appreciate your support to locate the funds. i would change it to 5 stars, but for the initial e-mail hiccup. Thank you Jacoline!

You make it sounds like that when you use us you do not expect the money to arrive? We strongly refute this and we have certainly not tried to avoid you as the term coward implies.
We are concerned about this issue and have been doing our best to locate the funds. We had several email exchanges during the last few days with you regarding this matter and we have not refused help.
Although we completely sympathise with you, unfortunately we can not force your beneficiary bank to release the funds. This is beyond our control. We do suspect that the funds are in a suspense account with your beneficiary bank and therefore they cannot locate it against your Mom’s account. It also looks like Postbank transfers are routed through Standard Bank so they could also be in a International payments suspense account with Standard bank so they are worth contacting also if have not done so already.

Another issue at hand and why the funds may not have been credited is that there are certain processes required by FICA and SARB which we all have to endure before funds are released. The beneficiary bank should assist in this matter and give some guidance as to how to proceed with international inward payments.

You have been a client of Easy Exchange for 7 years and we have never had these issues. We don't believe the issue at hand is a reflection on our service as we’ve always had a good relationship and tried to help as far we can.

We are still trying to get your money credited and we have not given up trying at all since you alerted us to the issue.

We will keep you update as we know anything.

Hello. Sorry to hear that your bank in South Africa removed so much of your money in fees. Obviously, we can not control that aspect of the transaction. I suggest you contact your bank and complain. We are looking to change this process back to the process you have used many times in the past and seem to have had no problem with.

Easy and convenient to Exchange

We have used Easyexchange a few times to transfer money and have never had any problems. The service is quick and we have always been happy with the exchange rate and admin fee. I would highly recommend this service.
