Disappointed with eBay's Customer Service and Management

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with eBay's customer service and management regarding a package that I never received. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, eBay's handling of the situation left much to be desired.

First and foremost, the lack of responsibility taken by eBay's customer service representatives was alarming. When I reached out to inquire about the whereabouts of my missing package, I was met with excuses and deflections rather than genuine efforts to address the problem. It seemed as though they were more concerned with shifting blame than finding a solution.

Furthermore, the inefficiency and lack of accountability displayed by eBay's management team only exacerbated the situation. Despite providing all necessary details and documentation regarding my order, there was a noticeable lack of follow-through on their part. It felt as though my concerns were being brushed aside, with no real effort made to investigate the matter further.

What truly frustrated me the most was the apparent disregard for customer satisfaction and loyalty. As a longtime eBay user, I expected better treatment and service when encountering issues with my orders. However, the dismissive attitude and unwillingness to take ownership of the problem have left me feeling undervalued as a customer.

In conclusion, my experience with eBay's customer service and management was nothing short of disappointing. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and overall negligence in addressing my concerns have left me questioning whether eBay truly values its customers. Moving forward, I hope to see improvements in their approach to resolving issues and providing better support to those who rely on their services.

I have been buying and selling Canadian…

I have been buying and selling Canadian Stamps on eBay for years. I have a store. I am disappointed that each time you update your software it makes listing stamps much more complex and difficult. The newest version for listing stamps brings one to a generic page having nothing to do with stamps!!! Please revert back to the previous setup. Thanks.

I setted the website for CAD and it went back to USD.

I setted the website for CAD. For an unkown reason, it was set back to USD and I didn't notice. So, instead of doing what I though was a great deal, I got ripped off. Paid the item more than the price of a brand new one at the store. And ebay added tons of taxes and fees on top of it. And don't get me started with their shipping. It keeps being rescheduled and it is like that for days. It's taking weeks to get my package. I'm almost at 3 weeks of wait and the package is still at the same place it was 3 weeks ago. Litterally lost 3 weeks. It's like it just left the seller's place yesterday, but 3 weeks have passed.

I'm really having a very bad experience buying on ebay.ca. I'll never ever buy on that website again.

Quello che rimane della clientela di una volta sono solo truffatori, comprano ricambi nuovi nel blister per riparare i loro oggetti rotti,aprono controversia raccontando il ricambio e' rotto,cosi si tengono l'oggetto nuovo, riparano il loro articolo e eBay gli fa rimborso. Blind stuedent Got ripped off on Ebay leaving me sad and desperate

I have always relied on eBay to purchase my PCs as a blind student, and up until now, I have never encountered any issues. However, my recent experience has been quite disappointing. Last month, I bought a PC and a cell phone from eBay, but unfortunately, both items arrived broken. To make matters worse, these items do not even appear on my eBay account, making it difficult for me to reach out to eBay for assistance. In an attempt to resolve the issue with the PC, I contacted the seller because she had contacted me via text to say that the color I had chosen was sold out. So from this text, I was able to reach her to request a battery, but unfortunately, the PC stopped working right after I sent the message. As for the phone, it never functioned properly from the very beginning. Despite purchasing it as a refurbished S22ulter, it turned out to be a counterfeit phone that did not work at all. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can fix these problems, I would greatly appreciate it. This unfortunate experience has left me feeling extremely frustrated, and I have decided that I will no longer shop on eBay. Losing a lot of money purchasing these two items and being left with two non-functional pieces of technology is disheartening. You can no longer call eBay and the option you are given fails. Ebay's Global Shipping Canada is terrible

I ordered an item from a merchant who used Ebay's Global shipping and the item went to a Ebay shipping hub, in 2 days, then sat for 12 days and described in the tracking as being "inspected?" I stopped buying from Ebay out of the USA when Global shipping charged duty on items to Canada that were within the price exemption of tax. I will avoid buying from USA sellers, with poor delivery via Ebay's Global Shipping.

Ebay is no good.

It takes forever to receive the products you order, sometimes you never receive them. As far as I'm concerned,,, ebay is like a game of chance,,,, fortunately I never gamble with my money, ebay is not a good site to give ur hard earned money too. Dont use ebay.

Do not buy from Ebay

Do not buy from Ebay! Especially if you are buying as a guest! Their customer service is no service at all. I have a return that is mishandled by 6 different agents, sent me a wrong return label for a wrong order number and a USPS label that could not be serviced by any courier in Canaca! All their agents are from all over who only care about finishing a call without any service at all. Even if I had a case number, I keep repeating my dilemma and they give me a run around each time. They keep escalating it to Ebay international shipping which is almost non existent. Doesn’t reply to ke or contact me. But they contacted my seller telling her I filed a return request but no action is expectedfrom her. My seller said she can’t generate a return label. After a couple weeks, eBay emailed me that if I don’t return the item, my case will be closed. They haven’t even started acting on it! This company has descended into scamming! If I could put zero star in this review, I would.

I hear you! - the eBay.ca managed payment fiasco

I hear you! Ebay has owed me $1058.15 for more than 3 years now, ever since managed payments began. I've spent hours with reps in chat or on the phone and still can't get the issue resolved despite having my bank details verified several times only to get cancelled and the money returned to eBay.

I have three eBay accounts one is ebay.co.uk and the other two are ebay.ca accounts. The ebay.co.uk account works fine with managed payments but both Canadian accounts don't. The micro deposits that ebay supposedly sends out for bank verification never arrive in either of my two Canadian bank accounts so instead I've tried the bank statement method for verification but after getting a message from ebay saying the bank is verified 48 hours later it fails.

So having been a ebay.ca seller for 19 years I can say that, for me at least, ebay is downer right now. I ceased selling on the Canadian site three years ago in 2020 when the problem had been going on for a month because I was receiving no revenue from the sales I was making. And despite all efforts to find a fix or get an explanation from ebay I have still not received the money I am owed.

During my last conversation with a ebay rep yesterday she appeared to hint that ebay is experiencing 'some difficulties' with a number of Canadian banks and direct deposits but for a business like ebay.ca to begin a new payout system before getting all the banks on board beggars belief.

Anyways, that's my take on the ebay.ca. It's on a downer right now. I'm considering closing the account and getting them to send me a cheque but even that's complicated by the protocols regarding how accounts are closed and where the money goes so perhaps I'll hedge my bets in the hope that eBay get their act together or some kind of legal or regulatory action is taken to fix the issues many of us have encountered...

Ebay collecting fees on GST/HST

As a seller & buyer on ebay for over 22 years with 100% positive feedback, I realized recently that when selling my items that ebay is now collecting taxes from the buyers on the total sale. When they collect their seller fees they are now basing the total sale price, tax included, to calculate those fees. It is bad enough that years ago they started including shipping as part of the total to collect their fees. I do believe, but have not verified as yet whether this is actually legal or not. This just one of my issues with ebay. Sellers check your actual selling costs to see if you are being ripped off as well.

I buy too many things from Amazon, Esty and other online store.
my experience with eBay is the worst. I bought a Calvin Klein Coat from a Seller. The seller sent me a fake Calvin Klein coat. And when I tried to return it back. Seller never sent me return shipping labels. And all CS agents of eBay were working in the best interest of the Bully Seller. Don't buy from eBay.
Buy items from Amazon or from good reputed stores.
eBay customer services agents are bunch of Fools. Every buyer has rights to return his/her item if items doesn't meet the descriptions. CS agents bunch fools are not there to help you but there for humiliating you . One said I will get my money back and don't give seller my PayPal account and other said to give seller my PayPal account. But these bunch of fools don't know that I don't direct business relationship to the Seller. I want to return the fake account and I want my money back. But they couldn't provide me solution except I had to provide my PayPal account while I never had a PayPal account in my life. Shame on eBay

J'utilise eBay pour acheter depuis 2020, J'ai contacté le service client d'eBay le 16 février 2022 à propos d'un code d'erreur / bug que ne cesse d'apparaître sur mon compte, alors j'ai contacté un agent qui s'appel (Anouar / OULED ADDI) j'ai contaté qu'il ne veux pas corriger l'erreur et me suggère un autre département pour se débarasser de moi d'une manière bureaucratique, alors quand je clique sur le lien qu'il m'a envoyé je trouve que l'option "demander un appel" qui est disponible juste en France , Il sait dèjà que je suis Marocain et pas un Français et je ne peux pas demander un appel, je lui ai dis que c'est pas possible, il m'as dis que si c'est possible. Mais enfin de compte j'ai contaté que c'est pas possible de demander un appel à un autre pays [et voilà (Anouar / OULED ADDI) s'est débarassé de moi] . Après j'ai reçue dans ma boite E-Mail un sondage pour dire mon avie sur votre dernière expérience (Quelle a été votre expérience ?), J'ai dis exactement ce que j'ai reçu comme service sans qualité. Après 1 heure j'ai reçue 5 messages d'annulation d'echères que je ne les ai jamais vu!!! " Annulation d'une enchère - Objet ----" après ça j'ai reçue un autre message "Votre compte a été suspendu" !!! Alors 100% c'est l'agent (Anouar / OULED ADDI) qui as créé ça pour se débarasser de moi définitivement!! Voilà le numéro de conversation avec l'agent | SR# 1-460166793861

Je ne sais pas pourquoi il existe toujours ce genre de racisme!

Bad experience

Im a longtime customer of ebay and I have listed a product to sell and followed all instructions. The next day I received an email my account was permanently suspended, I called in asking why and they say yes you did nothing wrong but we can't say why it was suspended and we can't reactivate. I asked to speak to a supervisor they said they are busy but they will call me back in 2 hours but no one has ever called me back.

I had ordered a item on eBay and it is being held for duty and I contacted eBay about it and they I not help so I will be using Amazon they ship fast and I am guaranteed to get the items I ordered

I opened an account with ebay trying to sell some items, none of them dangerous or banned, and all of a sudden on the same day I opened the account I get permanently banned. I tried contacting costumer service but the only thing they could tell me was that, 'I pose a risk to the ebay community'. Come'on I'm a new seller maybe I violated some little thing in innocence but let me know what went wrong don't just ban for no reason. Their customer service is terrible, they are so rude, and one of them slammed the phone on me.

Almost every order I've had problems

I'm done with eBay. Almost every order I have placed over the years have had problems. eBay isn't easy to communicate with if you have problems and they keep telling you to contact the seller who is the problem in the first place and is not rectifying your problem. The last case was misrepresenting the product and sending me something that I didn't want. I requested a return which the vendor is supposed to pay for shipping but they refused to. eBay closed the refund file on me because I didn't return the product but I couldn't because the vendor refused to pay for shipping as they were required to. I requested a replacement order to get what I originally ordered but I never got it and it seems I now I am stuck with product I didn't order but payed for and eBay didn't resolve on my behalf. Their 100% customer satisfaction seems to be BS. Use eBay at your own risk. There appears to be a lot of shady vendors that eBay allows on their platform.
