If the site wording led you to add insurance you didn’t want, that’s a frustrating way to end a booking. Cover chosen during checkout is treated as part of the confirmed reservation, so any refund follows the terms shown for that product rather than the trip itself. If the wording felt unclear, the confirmation email and the cover details should show exactly what was selected and whether it was optional. That should make it easier to see where the confusion came in.

A bit of context worth setting out plainly on the language side, because the option is more accessible than it may have come across in the booking flow.
The website language can be changed directly from the top right corner of the page — there's a language selector that includes Portuguese among the available options. Switching the interface to Portuguese will display the booking flow, the insurance category descriptions, and the payment summary in the language you're after, which should clear up the friction you experienced on the original booking.
Worth doing that ahead of any next booking — the same content is available in Portuguese throughout the flow once the language is set on the site.

Where a booking or extra is sold as non-refundable, the value is usually kept as credit/e-wallet rather than returned to the card, based on the terms shown at checkout. It’s a rigid setup, and I can see why it left you with a first-and-last impression. If the terms weren’t clear enough before payment, that’s the part worth flagging.
