Hi All , i have recently completed the DEA Domestic Energy Assessor Course from ELMHURST ENERGY, The staff are very friendly, and the Teachers are helpful to clarify all your doubts, i would thank Mr.Michel, Miss Denis my assessor who guided me with the mistakes i have gone and made me to correct the error but as we are learning it would be not easy but once you understand and do it , its easier still i am learning daily new things and improving myself. i would come back to learn more courses. thank you

I recently completed the DEA course with Elmhurst Energy, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Our trainer, Bradly, was outstanding throughout. He was always approachable and open to questions, ensuring that everyone fully understood each topic before moving on. His industry knowledge is vast, and he consistently related technical content to real-world applications, which made the learning process both engaging and practical.

The training materials were comprehensive and always accessible, allowing us to revisit topics at our own pace. What truly set the course apart was the balance between classroom learning and practical experience — we didn’t just focus on the technical side; we also had site visits that brought everything to life.

I did the course of "ABBE L3 Domestic energy assessor" and I must say they are the best in market. They help you getting certified and train you with real world assessments and knowledge with the updated information. 100% recommended!

A really insightful and thorough course showing the design builder software with a lot of detailed information explained. The teaching was easy to follow and interactive!

Very disappointed with this company, the employee wrote incorrect things now. The property is highly likely a B but it received a D. Very unrealistic. Many errors on report. Full renovated home with deep insulation. Report says assumed no insulation. Whats the point in paying and coming for a test if its not going to be completed properly.

Amazing staff like Kacper, Josh and Simon. Great expertise- always offering a helping hand. They guided me through near enough all my training right to the top. Wouldn’t reccomend elmhurst enough to anyone!

Very clear information provided giving an excellent update on what is a consantly changing subject.
Despite a lack of clarity from government the best available nformation was provided with clear insights as to what the future may or may not hold.

I recently completed my domestic energy assessor course and found it very interesting and worthwhile. The technical assessors, Allison smith for me, were very helpful and steer you through the process. The telephone helpline is also a very valuable asset for learners and I always felt like I could ask questions at any time during the course. I would recommend to those interested in housing or domestic energy efficiency.

I recently did the Assessors course with Elmhurst. The course itself is pretty full on, especially as this was a totally new area for me. The work afterwards was a lot as I was reinforcing everything. My support person was Ajay Passan. He was really helpful, and to be honest pretty patient, with me. He allowed me to use the process as a learning experience which was very helpful. I would like to thank him for his assistance & professionalism.

All the support staff and trainers at Elmhurst are so friendly and helpful. I recently enjoyed an online class covering Mastering Room in Roof within RdSAP10, which counts towards my required CPD (continued profressional development). They helped answer many questions and now I'm a little less daunted about confronting property with the complexities surrounding room in the roof.
The support staff are always happy to help with any issues I encounter during assessments.

Fantastic training delivered on Future Homes Standard
As always Elmhurst deliver relevant and interesting content in their well put together training. Completed a day training with Jason Hewins on the Future Homes Standard and Home Energy Model which included lots of useful information

Attended Elmhurst Room in the Roof training as an assessor. Was very good and helpful to understand how new changes to this part of the assessment should be undertaken correctly. Thanks to the team.

If you are planning to become an OCDEA, Elmhurst is a credible and likely one of the safer / more established routes. Their support, insurance, software, and structure are strong selling points.

The cost is not trivial, so you need to judge whether you’ll get enough volume of work to justify that investment.

We have been part of the Elmhurst scheme for 7 years, we carry out OCDEA SAP's, Air tightness testing, and RDSAP EPC's. We completed our initial training for the SAP's and continue with their vast CPD training. We find that the team at Elmhurst from the welcome from the team on reception to the technical and audit teams are very approachable and friendly with a speedy efficient services. The training and support has helped our business grow and employ additional staff who we put through their system of training.

Enrolled on the Domestic Energy Assessors (online) course. I found the team to communicate very well prior to the course, although you do get several emails upon enrolling, make sure to look out for the email which highlights the pre-reading as that's an important one.

I attended the 3 days online zoom meetings, Michael was our groups tutor. Very knowledgeable on all things energy surveys, clearly had a lot of practical experience prior to joining Elmhurst, this made me feel confident that I had chosen the right training provider.

For the training be prepared to handle lots of information over 3 days, take notes as these will come in handy later on.

The team at Elmhurst are great, if you have a question they'll do their best to answer your queries.

All in all I have had a positive experience with Elmhurst and would recommend them as a training provider. Yes it's expensive but you really are paying for the quality they provide in their service.

As a retrofit assessor, my training and accreditation through Elmhurst have been a game changer. From a user perspective, their software is incredibly easy to use, especially for an energy assessor transitioning to the retrofit side. The ability to use their app and desktop software to easily upload and organize the many photos required for assessments is a massive time-saver, preventing the tedious task of searching through hundreds of images. This is a huge advantage over competitors' software, which can be buggy and create submission issues.
I've also found Elmhurst's system to be much more versatile than others, like Pas-Hub, which is limited to iPads. While some in the industry consider Elmhurst to be the most expensive option, I've found that the extra cost is justified by the peace of mind and efficiency it provides. For me, the time and effort saved on each assessment are invaluable. As a result, I've made the decision to only work with companies that utilize Elmhurst for their accreditation.

I am a qualified EPC assessor, and the training and support I receive from Elmhurst Energy are exceptional. As leaders in the industry, they consistently provide the guidance and resources necessary to ensure assessors remain compliant, knowledgeable, and up to date with industry standards.

There are levels to my experience with Elmhurst.

Level 1: Before accreditation — the lecturers were patient, nurturing, and always willing to help.

Level 2: Ongoing support and constant updates — sometimes it feels like I’m in the same room with the staff because of how frequent and helpful the updates are.

Level 3: Customer care — I’ve had several reasons to contact the retrofit team, the DEA team, and more recently the accounts team. The standard has been the same across the board: excellent.

Their knowledge (all my questions answered), their patience (even when I can be worrisome), their professionalism, and their availability have been outstanding.

I have had no bad experiences so far — my journey with Elmhurst has been nothing short of amazing.

I use Elmhurst for all of my lodgments and courses. The support they give, out classes similar accreditations that I’ve used in the past. Any courses that I’ve been on are well run and again the support for portfolio is really good.
