Avoid at all cost.
Called at 1.40pm for a local locksmith because advertised as 15-30 mins away. I was told I would get a call from engineer within one hour. By 3pm I phoned again having heard nothing. I was told he was on the way and would phone. When he did I was told he would be with me between 3.30-4.0pm At 4.20 I received a series of calls as he tried to find our home. He eventually arrived in a private car on foreign plates. Within 5 mins was told it would be a long job and would cost £210 to just open the door but the door would likely be damaged and need repairing later. At which point I said "no thanks leave it". I was then told I would have to pay for a cancelled job which I refused to do.

I am writing this review to formally document a deeply distressing and unsafe experience and to warn others.

I accidentally left the night latch lock engaged when leaving my property. I still had my keys for the bottom lock. I contacted this locksmith after seeing their website clearly advertise £39 with no call-out charge, which was also verbally confirmed to me over the phone.

The locksmith arrived approximately 30 minutes later. Upon arrival, he stated that the job was very simple and attempted to open the door using a plastic card, not specialist tools. After a short attempt, he told me it was “not working” and claimed the lock would need to be drilled and damaged. He also stated that drilling the lock and causing damage would be approximately £150.

As I did not have permission from my landlord to damage the lock and it was late at night, I told him to leave the job and that I would find another way to access the property.

Immediately after I said this, he suddenly managed to open the door using the same plastic card. The entire process took no more than five minutes and no specialist tools were required.

Once the door was open, he then aggressively demanded £150, despite having quoted £39 both verbally and online. When I questioned this, he repeatedly insisted it was “not a simple job”, which is demonstrably untrue given the method used and the short duration of the work.

I am a young girl who was alone at the property, visibly distressed and desperate to regain access to my home. It was clear that he attempted to take advantage of this vulnerability by significantly increasing the price after the work had been completed.

When I refused to pay £150 and stated that I would only pay the quoted amount, I contacted my older sister for support. During this time, the locksmith entered my property, took my keys (including my car key), then physically pushed me out of my home onto the floor and slammed the door shut, re-engaging the night latch lock with my keys inside.

This action appeared deliberate and calculated. He left me locked out of my property without access to my car, removing my ability to sit in a place of safety. I was left alone outside, in distress, late at night.

He then claimed he was “calling his manager”, collected tools he had not used, got into his vehicle and drove away.

The following day, my sister contacted the company to enquire about the cost of the same service and was again quoted £39 with no call-out charge. When she explained what had happened to me the previous night, the man on the phone abruptly changed his position, claimed £150 was correct, verbally abused her and cut the call.

This incident has been reported to the police and Trading Standards and the entire interaction was captured on my Ring doorbell footage, including the physical assault and re-locking of the door.

This was not merely a dispute over pricing. It involved false advertisement, intimidation, exploitation of a vulnerable individual and physical assault. I would strongly caution anyone, particularly those who may be alone or in a vulnerable situation, against using this service.

(The locksmith who attended was a male of approximately 5’8”, slim build and appeared to be in his mid-40s. He was wearing glasses at the time of the incident. Based on his accent and appearance, he may have been Eastern European or possibly Arab, though I cannot say this with certainty. He arrived in a silver Vauxhall Astra, registration MD65 UUZ.
I am including this description so others can identify him if necessary. To all vulnerable individuals - especially young women - if this individual is assigned to your job, I would strongly advise declining the service)

Ring door bell evidence sent to trading standard of civil trespess, and pushing my sister out her property. Also reported regarding advertising incorrect prices, and no call out charge, but then the above happens if u dont pay this, when they quote you totally different on phone. To think they can physically get violent over fee dispute, is absolutely disgusting and plain abusive, especially when it is a grown man with a very young teen female!!!!!

If I could rate them a 0 I would. They are an incredibly dodgy company that is run from a ran down house in London. They have multiple businesses which they never file the accounts for and therefore have been shutdown previously. A simple google search will show you how sketchy this business is. They have multiple businesses running the same thing under different directors from that small house. They will quote you £40-50 on the initial phone call, and when they arrive, they will attempt to do the work before you get the chance to stop them. This way they can pressure you into paying their scam prices of between £180-850. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have been reported to trading standards for their improper and illegal practices.

This company advertised no call out fee… this is another review saying if I could rate 0 I would. I called for an emergency locksmith and someone was at my house within 20 minutes of the call which I was thankful for. However the guy showed up in a Peugeot, wearing a tracksuit that had no identification of what company he was from and spoke broken English. He then told me it was a small fix and he could fix it, then all a sudden he it was £200 job, then it jumped to £400 and he said he wasn’t sure he would even have the parts to fix it, but if he started dismantling the door to see if he could fix it I would have to pay labour ontop of that! So I called the “office” to ask for a price and the office said even if he can’t fix it I would need to pay for a cancellation fee! I said no because I’ve not cancelled work as the man doesn’t know if he can fix it! At this point I wanted him out my house, but he wouldn’t leave until I had paid him. This was at 10pm and I’m a young single female alone and he wouldn’t leave my house. I should have threatened the police, but he waited and waited for me to pay £58.80. I told him I paid it and he said I hadn’t, and he made me show him the money coming out of my account. There was no “cancellation fee anywhere advertised on their website” but they did advertise no call out fee so this is a lie, as even if they can’t fix it you still have to pay, so this definitely is a call out fee.

Horrendous. I am university student and in my rented house we have code locks on our doors that can be deadbolted. I was leaving and tried to lock the door on open so I could just get in without typing the code in as I usually do and unfortunately managed to deadbolt it from the inside. My Landlord said no one could come tonight and said I could call an emergency locksmith, so I called these guys - they were not here within 30 minutes as stated and charged me £156 - as someone with no experience with this I should have checked but I was panicked as everything I own was in my room - all he did was remove the lock, took him around 20 minutes and for a place that says there is no call out fee on the invoice the call out was £45 and the rest was 85 plus 26 for vat. It’s a scam they just lie on there website and it’s horrible, clearly just taking advantage of people who need help desperately.

Was quoted £49 on the phone, ended up paying £125.
Dodgy from start to finish, would NOT recommend at all

The most horrific company, come out said a price then seen door and changed price so we agreed on new price. They broke the lock then said it's going to be 575 to fix but he had to go so couldn't do it but to ring up or get a new door. Took money (less than what he quoted but still almost £200 which I could of kicked my own door in and saved that as I've got to get another locksmith out now

Rang company they called me a liar and said what you want me to do, I explain I had two babies he laughed and said there's still time it's only early. Absolutely no concern at all, I wish I would of read the reviews before as I normally do but just been distracted but please do not use this company they are so rude and abrupt and then just put the phone down laughing because they have your money and there's nothing you can do

Do not use this company. I rang this company as there was no call out charge. Spoke to a lady on the phone who said the technician would give me a call on his way to mine. He sounded dodgy on the phone wish I had listened to my gut instinct. He arrived in his own car, no company van. He said I needed a new lock I asked him how much it would be but he did not answer. He wrote me an invoice which was extortionate, I refused to pay the first price, he was insisting that I sign his invoice. He also took photos of the lock he had fitted.

A carer called them for assistance at a clients home, they turned up took the handles off the door said it would be £400 then changed it to £700 the client said no, the carer asked him to put the handles back on he was very aggressive with her and was getting in her face demanding money the carer stood her ground and refused. Called to make a complaint not at all interested, i actually said to him "you don't care do you?" he said no. unbelievable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A DISGRACE AND BULLIES.

Quoted 49 quid and vat on the phone. Lad turned up to open a yale lock (all they need for this is one of those special cards) and he immediately said he had to drill and it would be 125 quid and VAT...so 150. Told him I was quote 49 and vat and he said I could ring the company back to discuss but he charged 125 and vat as per company prices. After a 2 hour wait we paid for him to drill the door and not even replace the lock. The lad was nice enough but the company is a total scam and I will be reporting them.

Do not use this company. Absolute cowboys. It repeatedly states on their website that they do not charge a call-out fee. We were charged a £150 call-out fee + labour. £350 for what was less than a 5-minute job. When we called to complain about the call-out fee, we were shut down. Outrageous. They should not be operating.

I would.like yo give 0 o less but it's not possibile..A guy charged me 316 pound for open a patio door with drill,( he damage the door) was a scam.very rude person.No badge to show .Thi s was in Norwich rubbish service damage door and at the end I have to call another company ,real one,for fit a new lock.avoid .disaster. no experience they are serious scam.

Website isn't clear that there will be emergency callout fees.
Initially it was £89+vat to try and get my door locked again.
Then it was another £120 to temporarily fix until the part came in for the mechanism.
Then the mechanism would be £289+vat on top....
Then they wanted an emergency fee on top which wasn't quoted when I called them.

Told them to get out after an hour.

Do not use them.

Absolute disgrace !!! My mother in law locked herself out of the house with her keys on inside of the door.
The guy came around with a magnet, got the keys out via letterbox within 3 minutes and charged her £250.00.
This is a clear case of ripping off old and vulnerable pensioners. When I called to complain, they told me she had signed the invoice so it was fair. Old people don't know what they should be charged. The locksmith also told my mother in law that he had spoken to me about the charges which is why she paid it. This was not the truth. So ripping people off, managers supporting this approach tells me this is the MOST disgusting company I have ever dealt with. When I told them this is not how companies operate in the UK, I was told I was a racist by the manager.

Con men! Used this service last night I double checked prices with lady on the phone as I found the £39 charge stated on website too cheap as I have used different locksmiths before after being locked out and paid between £105-£115. The lady told me £50 to then be told of locksmith when he turned up it would be £50 call out even though it states on website no call out charge and then another £130 to actually get in which I wasn't happy about but agreed to anyway. He eventually got me in my home to then ask if I wanted locked replaced which I obviously did as they had just broke the old lock to get in to then be told that was an extra £73. By this point I had no choice but to agree as my door was unsecure. So what I was told was a £50 job ended up costing another 200. Absolute disgrace and I will be ringing trading standards
