PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING A PURCHASE WITH ENLIGHTEN SAUNA - If you value your hard-earned money, please go elsewhere for your sauna. I purchased a Sierra 3 outdoor infrared sauna in January 2021 and after the wrong sauna was delivered in July, I finally received the model I purchased in September! This was after Enlighten tried to convince me to keep the wrong sauna.

The sound system installed was not the one included in the specifications I received when I initially made my purchase and there are drip marks from a messy stain job on the window seal. When I notified Enlighten Sauna of this and asked for a partial refund, I was told I would need to sand and restain my sauna myself and I was completely dismissed for the wrong sound system, with no response. They have ignored attempts from the BBB to resolve this issue.

The heaters only go up to 118 degrees and it takes 4 hours to heat up. This is a defective product that’s not worth a fraction of the price they charge.

They have been an absolute nightmare to work with. Horrible service and will take your money without honoring your original agreement. Please do yourself a favor, take it from my experience and go with a different company.

My experience has been a complete disaster. Save yourself the time, money and, headache and purchase from another company. If you are still considering purchasing from Enlighten Sauna at least do yourself the favor and read my review.

I purchased the Enlighten Rustic-3, Slope Full Spectrum Sauna with an OUTDOOR shingled roof. This is an OUTDOOR sauna.

1. The shipping was a total fiasco and they had no answers for me. It took weeks of calls, texts and, emails to even find out where the sauna was in transit. Grade: D.
2. Once the sauna finally arrived, the finish on the sauna had not dried properly and the packaging stuck to the lacquer coat. It took multiple calls, emails, and texts to get anyone to address my issue. Grade: D.
3. Once I had a professional install the sauna one of the heaters stopped working within the first two weeks of first use. I had to get the heaters exchanged THREE times. This was over a span of several months as their support was unresponsive and it required me to badger them numerous times. They did not send a technician and I had to do the uninstall of the old heater and reinstall of the new heater. Also, during this time the sauna was not usable as it was not able to heat properly. Grade: F.
4. After our very first rain, the sauna soaked up the rain like a sponge. Now, the sauna no longer heats properly. Don't forget, I purchased an OUTDOOR sauna and I live in Southern California where it does not rain a lot. Again, many emails, calls, and texts later, they sent me a new electronic panel thinking there may be some sort of electrical issue. I asked for a technician which they said was not available in my area. I am not an electrician so this is not something I am comfortable taking on myself. Also, the customer support person now says that WE should have "sealed" the sauna when we received the units. Wait, what?! This is an OUTDOOR sauna that we had professionally installed per the instructions provided. This makes no sense at all, however, given my experience I should no longer be surprised. Grade: F.

After about 9 months of owning this sauna, I am totally fed up. It appears their 3-year warranty isn't worth a damn since I am asking them to pick up the sauna and give me a full refund. As of this moment, they are refusing to do so.

UPDATE #1 After many more calls, emails, and texts they are now saying that in order for me to return the sauna I will need to pay 50% of the purchase price for them to come and pick up the sauna. This completely insane, but again, I should not be surprised.

UPDATE #2 (approximately 2 weeks since my previous update)
After more texts, emails, and calls I finally spoke with a person named Mike. He said he was in upper management with Enlighten Sauna. After a lot of back and forth and a very unpleasant conversation, he said he would issue a full refund BUT ONLY IF I remove all negative reviews and sign a settlement agreement stating I will not write any additional reviews. Now we know why there aren't a lot of negative reviews because the only way to get your money back is to remove the negative review.

UPDATE #3 (3/26/2021)
Today I received an unsolicited phone call from Maria. I assume it has to do with the BBB and California Attorney General complaints that I have now filed. By the way, as of today's date, Enlighten Sauna has an 'F' rating with the BBB. She reiterated that the only way Enlighten Sauna will refund my money is for me to sign a settlement agreement and for me to remove all reviews. I stated that I will not be blackmailed into doing that.

Update #4
I received a letter from the California Attorney General's office. They have received my complaint and will be engaging with Enlighten Sauna to resolve the issue.
As stated previously, in order for me to get a refund for the defective sauna, Enlighten Sauna is requiring me to sign a Settlement Agreement which would force me to remove all reviews. I am hopeful that the CA Attorney General will "enlighten" them that these types of business practices are not acceptable in the state of California or our country, for that matter.

As of today, I still do not have a resolution to my issue.

I cannot state strongly enough that BUYER BEWARE. This has been a total nightmare since the moment we ordered from this company.

1. Delivery Delay: When you first encountered a delay, we offered a significant discount on your order to apologize for the inconvenience. As you know, your order was placed during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted delivery times worldwide. Despite the challenges, we were still able to deliver your sauna and provided a discount as a gesture of goodwill.

2. Packaging Damage: Regarding the small imprints caused by packaging, we arranged for a handyman to visit your home at our expense to resolve the issue. We were happy to take care of this promptly.

3. Heater Functionality: When you reported that the heaters were not working properly, our standard protocol is to conduct troubleshooting before shipping any replacements. However, after you declined to troubleshoot over the phone with one of our technicians, we took proactive steps by sending you multiple replacement heaters. We are confident that the issue could have been resolved with the right guidance, as it was likely a connection issue.

4. Water Leakage: When you informed us about the water leakage, we acted quickly to address the problem. We acknowledge that COVID-19 has led to longer lead times, but we still prioritized resolving this matter. We provided you with several options, yet you chose to reject all of them.

Our Refund Policy:
At no point have we denied you a refund. In fact, we’ve been working with you to facilitate a return. Our return policy, which clearly states that the customer is responsible for any shipping fees, was communicated to you. Additionally, we even offered to pick up the unit from your location.

Please note, our return policy covers returns only within 90 days of purchase, and unfortunately, you are now beyond that window.

Conclusion:
While we understand your frustration, we want to emphasize that we’ve made every effort to meet your expectations and resolve each issue. Regrettably, it seems that none of our solutions have been satisfactory to you.

We sincerely apologize that we couldn’t fully meet all of your expectations, but we’ve worked diligently to address each of your concerns in a timely and fair manner.

Three weeks ago I finally got my sauna…

Three weeks ago I got my sauna Sierra - 5 with a peak roof. I really love it! I've made 50% deposit and approximately after 4weeks I got a phone call from the accounting department spoke to Nataly and was advised that my sauna was ready to deliver and also she offered white glove installation. I agreed and was totally satisfied with the whole experience from delivery, installation. I haven't had any problems with this guy and all process was smooth. I would give 5 star for management, delivery, installation and quality of the product. Good company, recommended!

Beware of this company! I had a terrible experience with this unprofessional organization. I only hope that I can save others the misery of dealing with such unprofessional and unethical business practices.

The Better Business Bureau rates them F for good reason.
