Efficient recontract process
I was nearing the end of my tenancy contract and wished to extend it for a few more months. Megan Grayston from ERE Property helped me set up a flexible periodic tenancy contract over email without any further paper. Truly efficient!

The best
Having been a renter for the past 10 years, I must say no other agency has come close to how efficient and nice ERE as a whole and Megan Grayston in particular! No request has been too big, I have not had an issue that was not sorted immediately, and for this reason alone I am looking to extend my tenancy months in advance! Cannot recommend them enough

Professional!
I sent my enquiry via an online enquiry and received prompt reply from James Kettel. James was very patient and presented me just what I needed, not pushy nor hard selling at all. Being an inexperienced investor, he made everything simple and utterly transparent for me. Though in the end we did not pursue due to personal reasons, I wouldn’t hesitate to work with James again, hopefully in the near future.

Good Customer Service
Rented with ERE for 2 years in Salford, Manchester with very few issues during this time. Upon leaving the property, Megan Grayston kindly wrote me a tenancy reference to provide to my new letting agent which was much appreciated. Have never struggled to get through to Customer Service when I've needed to

Excellent Sales & After Sales Service
I recently invested in Society House with ERE. The sales and after sales process was very smooth. At all times I was always comfortable with the level of information I was being provided. Robert, who met me in HK always presented opportunities for investment suited to my profile and kept me updated and Sharon who took on the after sales to ensure I stayed on track to meet the necessary requirements to complete the exchange. Being in good hands
Thanks to Robert and Sharon Barlow, I just completed my exchange of contracts for an UK property investment. I am impressed with the efficient and systematic ways they are handling my deal. Sharon often follow up the status for me proactively with different parties and always helpful towards queries. Looking forward to the completion of this new build in the soon future and the one-stop service of ERE in the rental manangement part. Invest with ERE!
I approached ERE to find good opportunities to invest in properties. I must stress that I am not an easy client. As a relatively inexperienced investor I check and re-check every detail multiple times, before committing to anything. Initially Jonathan and then Sharon were extremely patient and supportive in the whole process and I never felt pressured to make a decision. I have now exchanged with my first property sourced by ERE, time will tell to which extent the predicted returns will materilise, I will then come back hoping to add the fifth star to this review.

ERE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
ERE are a landlords agent who care more about money and the landlord than they do about the safety and well-being of their tenants.
After 5 months of living with water ingress which affected the electrics and our physical health, we finally had enough and called Environmental Health who demanded an electrician attend the property. He subsequently informed ERE that the electrics were not safe and the property should not be lived in.
Out of spite, ERE then requested that we leave the property with 24-48hrs notice and only decided to back down once they realised I had actually read my tenancy agreement and understood my rights.
Diabolical and rude staff, well and truly incompetent. Avoid at all costs.

As we know, the property you moved out of is an apartment and the water ingress was occurring from an external leak which is the responsibility of the block manager to repair. We, as agents and your landlord do not have the relevant insurance or instruction to work on a building which neither of us own, so reliance on the building manger to repair the issue was absolute which left you, us as agents and your landlord in a very difficult situation.
As the leak occurred during heavy rain it was not constant, and it was until recently confined to one part of the property. This does not mitigate the seriousness of the situation but did not render the property uninhabitable. The much larger leak during particularly heavy rain did render the property unsafe and therefore uninhabitable, therefore the correct course of action was to terminate the tenancy with immediate effect to avoid any danger to life. Despite this, your request to use the property at your own risk rent free to allow you time to make alternative arrangements was agreed.
Your landlord was also in agreement to a reduction in rent for you in recognition of the fact that whilst she was under no control of the repairs, this situation was far from ideal, and we were all pushing the third party for repairs to be completed at the earliest opportunity.
Finally, your deposit was released in full (prior to us seeing any end of tenancy report) the moment the keys were returned.
In summary, we would agree that you have had an experience that has fallen short of what we aim to deliver. However, as highlighted above and advised previously overall the repairs required fell outside our remit of control. It is disappointing that you feel the actions that we have taken to support the situation warrant such a review.

On the ball
Have been renting through ERE for 3 and a half years. Recently had an issue with the water tank developing a serious leak on a Friday morning, forcing me to turn the main supply off. Facing the prospect of having to go without water for the weekend, ERE (through Pru) arranged for a wet-vacuum of the carpets and replacement of the water tank within hours, and all completed by 7pm.

2 years of great service
Rented through ERE Lettings for 2 years. Always found their staff really helpful. Any issue I had dealt with immediately. Made my moving out process seamless and deposit returned as promised. Would have continued with them if I was not moving to wales. Thank you.
