Very frustrating experience. We arrived to charge our car only to discover you need a specific app and account/card to use this charger. Public EV charging should be quick and simple, not require downloading an app and registering. Contactless card payment should be available on all chargers.
The esb e charging website says that with "a little planning" you can simply tap and charge, but that's not true. We still had to register before we could use the charger. On one trip I now have five different charging apps, five accounts, multiple monthly subscriptions, and my card details saved to each. Public EV charging should be much simpler than this. You dont have to register with all the different petrol station brands before using.

Tried to charge my car in Newcastle NI. The chargers in Donard car park didn't work. The chargers in town wouldn't accept my card. I tried 6 times and failed. Finally the chargers at the back of the Slieve Donard, after trying one 3 times, which didn't work, the one on the other side worked thankfully. After 4 hours charging at 7 kW I finish at 11pm with sufficient power to get me home. I had spent all afternoon with the ESB charging facilities in Newcastle NI. This is a total waste of space and ESB should be ashamed of themselves.

Charging cable rediciously short in Tullamore

AVOID! This company is a disgrace - got a new electric vehicle and have put £160 on my card trying to use their machines. They took £40 for each transaction and I have not been able to get a single charge! Customer service is a joke! Sorry I ever got an electric, stranded now unable to get a charge!

This is by far the worst EV charging experience I’ve ever had. Please — don’t waste your time, money, or sanity on ESB Charging.

❌ Terrible customer service
❌ Unhelpful, disrespectful staff & management
❌ Takes your money without resolving issues
❌ Slow, unreliable chargers

I’m speaking from personal experience — it was a nightmare. There are much better alternatives out there:
✅ BP Pulse
✅ RAW Charging
✅ InstaVolt
✅ MFG EV Power

I beg you — spare yourself the stress and frustration.
ESB is not worth it.

Ev charger, i charged my car at one of your fast charging stations and I forgot to bring my Sean card. The only way I could charge was by using my debit card and they took €50 from my account and also the €24 on that same occasion. What is going on!!!

Üks minu sugulane töötas selles ettevõttes. Ta sai kaks tööga seotud vigastust. Tööandja varjas esimest vigastust. Seejärel sai ta teise tööga seotud vigastuse. Tema tööandja tühistas tahtlikult tema ravikindlustuse. 44 päeva haiguspuhkust keeldus ta maksmast. Ta ei maksnud palka. Ta ei saanud ravimeid osta. Raha ei olnud, sest nad ei maksnud palka 2 kuud .Nad tegid töölepingutega pettusi . Nad sõlmisid 2 kuu jooksul 4 töölepingut. Viimane leping tehti pärast vallandamist 1,5 kuu pärast. Nad muutsid vallandamise artikleid. Ta oli sunnitud tagasiulatuvalt allkirjastama ohutusnõudeid. Tööandja rikkus Eesti seadusi . Tööandja helistas talle ähvarduskõnedega ja sõimusõnadega . Kõik negatiivsed kommentaarid nad kustutavad
