my package was held at customs on a clearance delay as soon as i notified Black Diamond about it they got it out to transit. their customer service apologized for how busy they are (big sale going on) and i still got my package a day early. as for the the gear i ordered itself seems very good quality and great warranty i'd say compared to arcteryx or norron they're priced a lot cheaper for similar quality no life time warranty tho. get what you pay for. i'd suggest black diamond to anyone looking for cheaper but still good quality outdoor gear.

Horrible customer service ! Returned item and after after I realised it was held by customs for a week I phoned them with explanation and tracking number. I’ve been told they are aware about the issue and it’s not a problem if it arrives a bit later than deadline (14 days from return accepted email) According to tracking it arrived next day (15 days from the email) and they refused to collect it and sent it back to me. No refund, no communication and I also had to pay £13 to post it to them. Avoid avoid avoid. Will never shop with them again. Shame

I am a flash-aholic and have a stupid number of flashlights and headlamps. I only use rechargeable batteries so that they don't become corroded. I have had 2 BD headlamps go bad in relatively short order, with minimal use. And magically, the lights seem to fail just outside the warranty window. There are better lights out there, they may not have the bells as whistles (continuous dimmability), but they won't let you down either. These lights are garbage.

Terrible Customer Service.

I followed all the instructions to return the items (clothing) nearly two months ago. The items are being held by customs and Black Diamond are refusing to help or issue a refund. Therefore, I have lost £170 - I don't have the goods or a refund. Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The worse customer service experience and warranty.. Helio Recon skiis delaminated on the first run in a prepared ski slope. I repaired them at a skishop twice and lost days skiing, since the skishop felt for my situation I got the repair heavily discounted and payed 40 Euro. With the cost of driving, loss of days at the slope (cost each day is 65 Eur), with repaired skiis that are not worth the value that I payed, I only got offered 80 Eur voucher. Shame Black Diamond! I am working at outdoor retail store, knowing what I am talking about when it comes to product and quality. I will definetly share this super poor experience.

After one year of use, one stick broke. It broke at a place which is clearly a design fault; where the aluminium ends and the nylon part holding the tip begins. So, the tip is held in place by a thin section of cylindrical nylon, at a point which receives most of the load!
I wrote to the maker asking for a repair service-no reply.
Very dissatisfied customer.

Compactor Skistöcke aus Aluminum, nach 20 Tagen das Oberrohr gesprengt durch die Steckhülse aus dem Unterrohr. Grund die Steckhülse ist langsam immer mehr ins Unterrohr gerutscht während der Tour bis die Überlappung zu gering war und das Oberrohr durch den Druck auf die zu geringe Auflagefläche im Oberrohr gesprengt wurde.
Kommentar Black Diamond: Kein Produktionsfehler, meine Schuld. Obwohl ich darauf hingewiesen habe das die Hülse des anderen Stockes auch nicht hält, bekomme ich die Stöcke nicht ersetzt. Ganz miese Geschäftspolitik. Es gibt sicher auch gute Produkte von Black Diamond. Aber nein danke, ich nie mehr.

Had to request a replacement head torch under warranty. The process was quick and easy. Received a replacement within a week.

Achtung... Rücksendungen sind selbst zu zahlen inkl. Versicherung und gehen nach Holland! Das wird rasch sehr teuer. Während des Bestellprozesses wird man zu keinem Zeitpunkt darauf hingewiesen. Absolute Frechheit!

Rücksendungen sind selbst zu zahlen und das auch noch nach Holland. Ich musste einen zu grossen hoodie zurückgeben und berappte dafür schlappe 18 Euro als Paket.
