We had 8 people on a custom itinerary to go hiking in Torres del Paine and El Chalten. To further complicate matters, some of our group wanted to hike from refugio to refugio in Torres del Paine and the rest wanted to stay in hotels. Charles was to able to book hotels, refugios, transfers and side trips to meet all of our requirements. We even had a dedicated van with a driver to take us to trail heads in Torres del Paine and drive us to El Calafate, Argentina. I highly recommend using Experience Chile for planning your trip to Chile or Argentina.

It was nice not having to plan the details of our Patagonia trip. Not the cheapest way to do it but definitely the most stress free!

ExperienceChile helped me with planning a last-minute trip to hike the W trek in Patagonia. With limited time available, we wanted a one-stop shop to plan the itinerary, reserve the trek, and book accommodations. Charles and team were extremely helpful in providing sample itineraries and in making all the necessary bookings. It would have been extremely difficult to plan this complex trip ourselves. I tried for months to reserve the huts on the W in Torres del Paine for my two adult sons and myself, but after exhausting every avenue, I was unsuccessful in securing a couple. As a last resort, I turned to Experience Chile to see if they could help me, and I was very happy I did. Not only were they able to reserve the huts I needed, but they arranged transportation and entrance into the park. The transportation was especially helpful when the catamaran at Hotel Grey that was scheduled to take us to our the first leg of our W hike was cancelled at the last minute due to high winds, and we were told we could drive to Pudeto on Lake Pehoé to catch the ferry to Paine Grande where we could alternatively start the W hike. The driver patiently waited with us while we were waiting to see if the catamaran at Hotel Grey was going to be cancelled, and then drove us to the ferry dock, and waited until it was clear we were going to be able to depart on the ferry. Having such first rate service was invaluable. I would recommend Experience Chile to others looking to do the W or the O.

Charles worked his magic for my husband and I on a very complicated trip to Chile, Argentina and Brazil. We had 11 internal flights (all with a TT bike), private transfers across borders, all luxury accommodation, trips, guides etc. all booked and paid via Charles with multiple agents which he managed throughout. He checked in on us regularly to ensure all went to plan. Perfect service! Can't thank Charles enough for a fabulous trip!

Experience Chile and Charles did a superb job and made a complicated itinerary seamless. We had a trip across Argentina and Chile, which was planned late for my friend's 60th, and whilst I normally travel independently, the logistics of getting to and from the Torres del Paine park and doing the W route trek are difficult to optimise time/complexity. Charles did a superb job of finding great boutique hotels before and after, getting all transport in and out organised, all stays and meals in the park lodges and critically all the permits for every single step of the way. Altiplanico hotel was awesome, as was he Bories hotel at the end (incredible photos by the owner a pro photogtapher), and the sunsets in trip to Torres del Paine unforgettable. Wish we had spent an extra day in Puerto Natales - lovely chilled town and awesome sunsets. Would definitely us Experience Chile when I come back. FYI date is a year earlier when we did the trip - I failed to leave Charles the review when I should

We hiked the W trek in Patagonia through Experience Chile and Charles & team honestly couldn’t have done more to assist us. We were travelling for a wedding and so our trek had to be squeezed in around very specific dates and travel restrictions - if we had tried to book it ourselves, it just wouldn’t have worked. Charles went out of his way to come up with a bespoke itinerary so that we could enjoy all of the highlights of the W and every booking he made for us worked seamlessly. We would highly highly recommend.

What a trip we had. A 7 day trek in Chile's Patagonia(W trek), a small trip to Argentina's Patagonia, 14 day Antartica cruise followed by a long trip in Argentina , all the way to the North. The trip had so many elements to it, treks, cruises, football matches(River Plate), dinning experiences and other sight seeings. Experience Chile organized it all. Oh I forgot the most important 2 things, stays and travel be it plane or bus. We were a big group from India and I was struggling to find someone reliable to organize this from the other side of the world. I am so happy We found Charles. More than the final outcome, it was the process. A month long planning where he patiently gave us all options across all price ranges and organized it patiently even when we kept changing our minds. A lot of things can go wrong on such long trips, but he planned it to perfection and we had a great time. Thank you so much Charles. Thank you ExperienceChile. We visited the Lake District in February 2026 for hiking, fishing, cultural information, and sightseeing. Charles listened to our wishes, provided multiple options for the desired experiences, and then customized it after we provided feedback. His selections for guides, trails, schedules, restaurants, and other experiences were superb. We had a tremendous fishing guide, and an amazing guide who gave us insights into the Mapuche culture (past and present). Thanks to Charles, our first Lake District trip far exceeded our expectations.

Charles delivered exactly as planned on what was a complex itinerary that require everything to fall into place - which it did! Indeed he even provided a backup plan and vouchers in case the in final ferry couldn't run (which happens sometimes).

Amazing experience. If you are doing any part of Chile or Argentina, you will be in excellent hands. I only use travel advisors for specific types of trips, such as Safaris or Patagonia. Even if you know what you want, Charles and team will be a value add to review everything and book for you (it doesn't cost anything extra to use a TA).

Experience Chile took care of all aspects of our travel through Patagonia and into Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls -- both the Brazilian and the Argentine side. Experience Chile helped us to pare down our trip to fit our time frame and made GREAT suggestions of hikes and sites not to miss. Experience Chile (EC) arranged drivers, guides, transportation, tours all through Patagonia. They also helped us to save some money by suggesting a bus ride from Puerto Natales to El Calafate. We had one little glitch that EC helped us resolve quickly -- on a Sunday, no less. High praise for one of the best tour companies I have ever used.

Charles was very helpful from the very beginning of the planning stages. We got on multiple WhatsApp calls where he explained the finer points of the trip and recommended stays. Everything was arranged, and the pickup times mentioned were adhered to. He was also flexible in accommodating our last-minute requests and was available to talk if we had any questions while on the trip.
Our trip for the W Trek and El Chalten was superbly planned. If we were to go to Chile again, Charles would be my first option.

In 2025, Charles at ExperienceChile facilitated a custom itinerary of the W Trek for me as a solo traveler during peak trekking season in Torres del Paine. At the time, trying to book camp stays through the official operator websites of the park was complicated, and availability was limited. Working with Charles to program a custom itinerary for the trek simplified the process substantially. Communication was seamless with him, and he was prompt to reply as we worked through the options available through his agency. I wouldn't hesitate to use ExperienceChile again if returning to Torres del Paine or for any other needs at popular tourist destinations in Chile or Argentina.

This trip last April went so well because it was superbly organised by Charles Halifax and his team. They asked us what we wanted to do/see/achieve and we did - all of it from the Atacama to Torres del Paine.

Working with Charles from Experiencechilie was beyond our expectations. He took care of everything and managed last minute changes to our itinerary flawlessly even in the middle of the night. They handled all the lodging, hiking permits, transportation and guides. It was well worth the money and definately a trip of a lifetime. I would highly recommend!!!!

My wife and I first worked with Charles and Experience Chile when we planned our 2013 honeymoon to Patagonia. We turned to Charles to help us book our lodging in Torres del Paine and work out our transportation logistics to and from the park. Everything went smoothly and as planned, and we had a fantastic trip. We were finally able to return to Chile in 2025 and turned again to Experience Chile to help with our planning. Charles booked our hotels and ground transportation as well as our Skorpios cruise out of Puerto Natales and our two-week car rental for a trip along the Carretera Austral. Again, all our arrangements went smoothly. All of the drivers who provided our ground transportation were prompt and friendly. The hotels recommended by Charles were very good. Cobbling together all the logistics of a big trip requires a lot of preparation, and Experience Chile really helped us put everything in place, hassle free. We will undoubtedly work with Experience Chile on our next trip to this beautiful country.
