I had been suffering with piles for…over 20 years

I had been suffering with piles for about 20+years, had been to my local GP only to be told any treatment wasn't available on NHS, I had been thinking about the Exroid Treatment but was very sceptical thinking could non invasive treatment could help? But I decided to take the plunge and go ahead with Exroid. I saw Mr Pitt at the Ipswich clinic and after consultation I was told I had 3 x grade 3 hemorrhoids! I had the treatment it was not painful at all but I did feel a little sensation of nausea.This was done over 4 weeks ago,my hemorrhoids ad disappeared by the next day! No bleeding no piles, my confidence is back and I feel it was the best things I have done for a very long time! I would personally recommend this procedure to all and everyone who suffers from hemorrhoids, to go and see your local clinic🙂

Didn't solve my problem

I had eight eXroid treatments between October 2022 and June 2023 for three Grade 3 piles. I kept coming back because I thought that the next treatment might do it - which is what the business founder tells you as well. The procedures provided some relief and short term improvement but didn't solve my problem.

Then I underwent a hemorrhoid surgery which solved the problem completely and luckily in my case was not painful.

I guess eXroid can help people but doesn't work for everyone. You should definitely try the treatment, maybe 2-3 times max, and then move on.

Sent information to a 3rd party without consent

My son went to see someone on Wednesday as a friend ( unrelated to the patient) had paid for the appointment, i changed the email address at the West Yorkshire clinic so that no personal information would be sent to him as a 3rd party but it was sent anyway . I'm absolutely disgusted and iam preparing my breach of confidentiality complaint now.For those who see the response, there WAS a breach of confidentiality and l forwarded the email received by the person who paid ( not related to the patient) proving it , which xroids have now admitted happened as they were caught out . I still have that email so my TRUTHFUL review stands and if Xroids do not like the truth they should be more careful with PRIVATE INFORMATION.

Ineffective

Never received any follow up call after a month. Symptoms worse than ever. Paid a lot of money for nothing. No offer of any kind of refund. Be wary of paying your money upfront as you'll never see it again. Also, think twice before you sign documents saying treatment 'may or may not help'. Quite frankly disgusted with this service.

The treatment was very efficiently…

The treatment was very efficiently carried out with a minimum of fuss.
A slight discomfort during the procedure but not painful.
The outcome for me has been very successful.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend eXroid if you are struggling with haemorrhoids.

What a relief

What a relief ! Suffering for a while then found out about Exroid. Called on Tuesday and was seen on Thursday!
Ten minutes in the medical centre in Cardiff and my non surgical procedure was over. It was uncomfortable but it solved the problem!! Highly recommended

I suffered for more than 1 year from…

I suffered for more than 1 year from internal piles. Doctors recommended surgery but I tried exroid at Oaklands Manchester with Dr Nasir Iqbal. He is a great man doing great job. He and his chaperone tried their best to put me at ease. After 1st treatment I was 70% cured it was a great improvement for me when nothing else was working for me. Now I have got 2nd treatment after 8 weeks so hopefully I will be 100% cured. Definitely recommend to anyone suffering with internal piles. You may need more then 1 treatments but it’s worth it

Lacking After Service

The procedure is uncomfortable and extremely painful. However, it has eased some symptoms.

The leaflet you are given afterwards provides you with a telephone number for an aftercare service. I called them but they weren’t available over the weekend.

I was experiencing a lot of discharge and was concerned as to whether this was normal. A couple of days later I received a call back. However, the person was not medically trained so had apparently passed this onto the Consultant for them to call me back.

Three weeks later…. still no call.

I’ve also just received an email to say someone tried calling as part of the aftercare programme. Nobody has called nor did anyone leave a voicemail….

In addition, when I first booked the treatment I paid £250 and was advised I’d get this back when the insurance claim was settled. Four weeks later, I’m still waiting for this to be refunded.

The company are great when getting you to commit but after treatment they don’t want to know.

Had treatment at Spire Roding Hospital…

Had treatment at Spire Roding Hospital 07/10/2023 , excruciatingly painful , doctor carrying out procedure did not offer anything to ease the pain.
Bleeding for weeks after, no perceivable change in my haemorrhoids,
After I submitted an after treatment questionnaire,I had a ‘Call follow up with Graham Bason of eXroid , he was surprised that I was not offered anything for the pain, also it could take as many as 3 sessions to completely treat the haemorrhoids. I was offered another session at a central London location with a different doctor, at a 10% discount which I declined.

Worked for me

My initial (NHS provided) consultation determined I was a suitable candidate for the treatment. I had 3 grade 2/3 hemorrhoids. I had been suffering with severe bleeds due to the blood thinners I am on. I had 2 treatments in Manchester, the first one did not entirely cure my problem, the second seems to have cured the problem.For me the procedure was mildly uncomfortable during the event, similar to low grade stomach ache. I drove home and did not experience any further discomfort. My advice is quiz your doctor in detail regarding the initial diagnosis and budget at least two treatments. From the reviews clearly 10% of patients do not react well to the treatment. Fingers crossed, like me you are part of the 90%.

Glasgow clinic

2 apts with Susanna in Glasgow. Piles successfully treated. No side effects, no problems afterwards. Why is this not on NHS? It is excellent!

Experience counts

Whilst successfully getting my hemorrhoids treated, the doctor diagnosed a fissure that my GP hadn't diagnosed and which had been causing a lot of pain. The fissure has now been successfully treated. The eXroid procedure was straightforward and, except for the fissure, pain free. To regain my quality of life, my money well spent on a procedure that isn't, but should be, available on the NHS.

Doesn't work.…

I had the procedure in August on 3 low grade 2 piles. The procedure was very painful. Since then my piles have not improved they have actually got a lot worse.

Please read - genuine review

I never write reviews but feel compelled to share my experience because my decision to go ahead with the treatment was in part driven by the mass of 5 star reviews on this site. It seems very strange that so many have had "miracle cures" when the NHS consultant I spoke to (after my treatment unfortunately) told me that the treatment is not carried out on the NHS because it is not effective.

I, like so many Exroid customers, was in a desperate position with pain, bleeding and not being able to go about my usual active life. I had one particular grade 3 pile that was troublesome. I had this treated by Exroid. It was very painful during the treatment (like an intense dull ache in your bottom) and even more painful afterwards. I went home to bed will painkillers and slept it off. 4 weeks later my bleeding was worse than ever. I called Exroid and spoke to the "Founder" who booked me in to a clinic the next day. I turned up at the clinic (an hour and a half away from home) to be told the clinic was not on that day!!!! What incompetence and a what a waste of time. Anyway, still desperate, I booked another appointment some 4/5 weeks later. Same pain unfortunately and again no improvement in the piles even 4 weeks later. For me it was a very painful waste of time and a whole heap of money.
The biggest issue I have however, is that the information Exroid give out is not complete. They pray on desperate people like myself suggesting that there are no other options. The truth is that if you have troublesome grade 3 or 4 piles, they are unlikely to be treated with 1 or even 2 or 3 treatments. They have this data but do not share it. I found a report from NICE which I am not allowed to put a link to so please Google "NICE.org Guidance IPG 525". I wish I'd read it before my treatment as it suggests that you will need many treatments,
If you are made of money then go ahead and try Exroid but I think I could have potentially spent £3-4K and still no improvement. People, there are other options so please keep badgering your GP to discuss them before resorting to this company.

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!”

I first went to Exroid for a second opinion as I did not agree with an highly rated NHS expert’s belief that I had “not got haemorrhoids”. He wanted to prescribe an opiate pain killer! No way I thought!

Of course, it was piles. I needed 4 sessions to sort out my problems and at first, I wasn’t convinced as after the first treatment the gain was only about 15% improvement. But on fully reading the information on the website I decided to return.
Another percentage gain. Back again, almost there. The last visit appears to have affected a complete cure. Also, my irritable bowel problems seem to have gone too! I had long suspected that piles were the major contributory factor in this.

I thoroughly recommend Exroid to similar sufferers and suggest to them “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!”

I visited Xroid in a crisis

I visited Xroid in a crisis, about to set off on a 2 week work trip whilst leaking significant quantites of blood from my acute roid.
Although mine was external and Xroid treats only internals I was informed that the two were linked (in my case, and apparently quite often) and that dealing with the internal would often deal with the external. I went ahead with the treatment and against advice, within 18hours began a strenuous tour.
Even being by nature sceptical - ‘it could have cleared up by itself’ - I was impressed that within a few days the bleeding stopped and now 4 weeks on there is no physical trace at all of the wretched item at all, and this even with my ignoring the advice to rest.
For me the treatment was a complete success and brought a rapid solution.
