Mixed Unclear Messaging

It's really stressful to buy certain releases and there's a lot of misinformation and mixed messages. If you're looking for a nice experience this isn't it. I wanted to purchase a Town and Country bag launched today. Firstly I was told twice by customer services that the launch time was BETWEEN 10 and 12 and that they couldn't confirm the time. Unfortunately I was away and could not access things easily and was trying to juggle checking out of a hotel and getting on a train - not having a set time confirmed made things difficult to organise for the best. I also asked two stores about getting the bag in store and was told that it was online only, none would be in stores so today on launch day a customer appears with a bag purchased instore! I just feel this mixed messaging and goal posts constantly moving is unacceptable and paying customers are treated with disrespect. I've spent thousands with them and do you know they wouldn't even honor me a free cap when I was a day out of the promotion!!! Yet they will give a £500 jacket to an 'influencer' in a heartbeat. Not a good look. You shop with a brand to feel good not to be made to feel disrespected and like a mug. They are either confused about where the products are or there is some 'tiered' priority list where some people can request a product into store while the same opportunity isn't extended to others.

Having reviewed this internally, we do acknowledge there were communication inconsistencies across our teams regarding launch timings, and we completely understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly whilst you were travelling and trying to plan your day around the release. This is not the experience we want for our customers, and we are actively reviewing our internal communication processes to ensure clearer and more consistent information is shared moving forward.

We would also like to reassure you that there is no tiered priority system in place for access to this collection. Whilst some stores may occasionally receive limited stock allocations, the mixed messaging you received was due to internal communication errors rather than preferential treatment, and we sincerely apologise for the confusion this caused.

We genuinely value all customer feedback and loyalty, and we are sorry that on this occasion you felt let down by your experience with us.

Extremely Disappointed: Substandard Quality and Durability

I am writing this review to express my profound dissatisfaction with the Regina boots. While Fairfax & Favor positions itself as a premium brand, the quality of the product I received is entirely inconsistent with that reputation.

Despite being relatively new, the boots have already suffered significant structural failures. The side zipper has malfunctioned and broken, and the soles are already beginning to delaminate and peel away. For footwear at this price point, such rapid deterioration is unacceptable and suggests a serious deficiency in quality control.

As these were a gift from an individual I am no longer in contact with, I lack the formal proof of purchase required for a standard return. However, the fact remains that the product itself is defective. It is highly disappointing to own an unwearable item that fails to meet basic standards of durability. I would advise potential Brooks customers to be cautious, as the craftsmanship does not reflect the premium price tag.

Fairfax & Favor has been my go to for…

Fairfax & Favor has been my go to for boots and capes. I drool for a while then finally give in. I moved to Maui for a couple years and had to store my boot collection but after coming back to the mainland, I opened my waterproof storage and there were the beauties waiting for me. Then came the gorgeous cape I have been waiting for. I missed out on the navy I wanted since I moved but I did get the black and white. From customer service, the wrapping presentation, box, storage bag, and excitement upon arrival…it is a delight to receive every order.

Exceptional customer service

Exceptional customer service. I queried a quality issue I had with a product I had bought 12 months ago. Response within hours, product returned for inspection within 24 hours and received a replacement with no hurdles to jump through.

Suede bags not good

Really lovely items from this company, however don’t bother with the suede bags, they don’t last five minutes. I have had three suede bags, several pairs of suede boots, have been alright, but one in particular bag quickly discoloured, even turned a complete different colour and because of this, the bag ends up looking dirty and completely tatty, so basically unusable even my husband said I look scruffy 🙈Customer Services said that I have squashed the bag, then I’ve put it in the sunlight next minute it I’ve allowed dust to get on it. They then said this is not a defect and I should use their suede kit which they encourage me to buy (Which I already had!)So basically I’ve come to the conclusion that I shouldn’t be buying any more suede bags from them as they cannot guarantee the quality on the bags, neither take any kind of responsibility that they could be a fault with these particular bag! Doesn’t fill me with great confidence! Considering the high price you pay for these items, you do not expect a product to spoil in this way especially when you have actually looked after it and kept it in its box when not in use! I also have a friend that exactly the same happened so this suede is obviously a bit of a problem! Not the response I expected from a company like this!

After carefully reviewing the images provided, we were unable to identify a manufacturing fault with the bag. From the photos supplied, the bag showed signs of general wear, surface marking, and dirt build-up rather than a defect in workmanship or materials.

We always aim to be fair and transparent in our assessments and did provide care guidance which may help restore the appearance of the suede. We’re genuinely sorry this outcome was not the one you had hoped for and appreciate your previous support of the brand.

I went to the Bawtry store on Monday. The staff were second to none . Thank you ladies . I came away with a new handbag and some other little goodies that I'm absolutely chuffed with .😊

No free gift!

Contacted Customer Service who said they had sold out of hats.Someone didn’t order enough obviously! No other offer available. Very disappointed with Fairfax & Favor! Will take my £300 order elsewhere! Shame.

The free hat promotion proved far more popular than we anticipated and unfortunately sold out over the weekend. As soon as this happened, we made the decision to offer an alternative free gift so customers would still receive something complimentary with their order. This update was reflected on our website and at checkout at the time of purchase.

We completely understand your frustration, especially if you were specifically looking forward to receiving the hat. If we were able to offer you one instead, we absolutely would have done so.

Gorgeous bag

Gorgeous bag, delivered quickly as usual. Despite being gorgeous it just wasn’t going to work for me so I returned it. Very easy returns - they give you a postage label in the box -tape up the box, add their postage label and tootle off to the Post Office. Quickly refunded too. The whole process gives you the confidence to buy knowing if it doesn’t work out everything is resolved speedily.

Looks great, everything else terrible

Love the look but the sizing and comfort is just terrible.

I've never worn a size 7 in my life yet, I have to here. Even then, its not great

My trainers, cracked very easily and were tight around the toes

Boots, cut into the backs of your legs. I've now bought heel wedge insoles. Bit better but for the price, still not great.

Wedges, oh my!! By far the worse shoes I've ever worn.
They made it around morrisons, cut open my foot. They were that painful, I took them off a drove barefoot home. Thank goodness I test run them before Bowlesworth International.

My consistently great experience with Fairfax and Favor

My experience with Fairfax and Favor , from purchasing , delivery and , on one occasion a return, was always impeccable. They graciously answer promptly and pleasantly even general questions sent via e-mail. They have somehow mastered the rare art of making the customers feel like they are the only ones with focus on them personally. Not a small thing in this day and age when customer service for e-commerce is seriously lacking. Additionally, their products are gorgeous and of excellent and consistent quality . Love the brand and I wish they had a physical presence in the U.S.

I have purchased several items now from F&F , always been very happy with customer service , who were brilliant when I received a bag which was faulty , the young lady was very apologetic and asked me to send it back at my convenience ( free of charge ) and either refund or replace , a new one was sent out as soon as they received the old one back. Can’t fault F&F and would highly recommend ☺️
