Never know what you will get....

I have used Fixd Warranty for 2 items. The 1st one I paid $150 to get scheduled the next day because it was an emergency and all went well. The 2nd time, no hurry so I just paid the $50 deductible. The technician was re-scheduled 2x and the 3rd guy showed up but wasn't qualified to do the type of repair needed. Finally got someone out there to find out only a portion was covered by warranty. Ok, no problem, we got it scheduled and I agreed to pay for the portion not covered. First guy showed up and didn't even have a work order for what needed to be accomplished. Called the shop and they couldn't tell him either. I was told a supervisor would call me on 3 different occasions and they never did. They charged me another $50 for one of the visits, told me 3x that it would be refunded and to date it still hasn't. It took from July to October to get the plumbing repaired and I paid for access with was included in the warranty, paid it to the guy who was working on it. Then I get a bill for $600 which was 3x what I was told I was supposed to pay and what I had already paid. They make a lot of promises, fail to follow up. Still waiting on $50 refund to my credit account. Techs are nice enough, some aren't knowledgeable but the office had got some real problems. Supervisors don't call you back, or when promised. Customer Service techs make promises that don't get followed up on. This company has a great concept that is implemented poorly. If they don't get it together, they won't be around for a long period.

Horrible!!

I hired for a new ac unit.They left a huge Mess.Installed the in the attic NOT on the ground floor where it belonged.They refused to do the job right and demanded full price even after several of their own people told me I would at least get a discount. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Even their response is incorrect they never fixed my issues and the phone number in their response is bogus and no discount was EVER GIVEN.

Fixd review

My ac unit stopped blowing cold air so I contacted fixd. They told me the coil needed to be replaced. They told me they had to order the part an would be in contact to come back out. I was told it should take 1-2 days for the part to come in.

I contacted them on day 2 to get an update. I was informed that a technician was scheduled to come out between 3-5 that day. I was provided no notice. When I spoke to them they told me the appointment time was scheduled and confirmed with them which never occurred.

On 10/16 the tech came to fix my AC they were at my house for over 6 hours. They left after informing me it was fixed. When I turned on my ac a loud rumbling vibration noise immediately came on from the attic (where they was working, This noise wasn’t happening before they came out). I ignore the noise thinking maybe that’s because they installed a new part an it just needs to warm up. Well the noise never stopped. It occurred briefly at the start of the ac being turned on. About 1-2 weeks later the ac unit shut down completely. I contacted an outside company to check out my ac unit an diagnose the problem as I was questioning the technician knowledge an skill level that was from fixd. The outside ac technician informed me that the FIXD technician installed the coil improperly causing the whole unit to shut down. Due to the entire unit shutting down he wasn’t able to listen for the loud rumbling noise. I contacted FIXD WArranty to notify them of my concerns. They scheduled a technician to come out to see what was wrong. He came out an confirmed that something was installed inaccurately an scheduled to return the following day to fix the issue.

So if you haven’t noticed, I have had to leave work early 2 separate occasions due to their inability to accommodate my schedule despite there failure to install the part in improperly. I also had to pay an outside technician to look over their work which turned out to be faulty.

They returned the following day an corrected the first technicians errors. But they did not fix the noise that was still occurring every time you turn on the ac unit.

I called again to have them come out an fix it. The same technician came out an said he didn’t know what the sound was. An I would have to keep calling them since the AC sound only does it intermittently. He offered no real solution. I requested to speak to his supervisor but surprisingly he couldn’t reach him. I contacted his supervisor the next day 11-12-19 (John grossman). I explained my issue an frustration. I explained a loud rumbling noise coming from the attic an even vibrating the roof when you first turn on the ac that wasn’t occurring until his technicians touched my ac. He told me in summary that it wasn’t something the warranty covers. The warranty doesn’t cover noise. He said I would have to deal with the noise. I explained that although the warranty doesn’t cover noise this particular noise indicates something is wrong perhaps something has been installed improperly because it isn’t a noise I have ever experienced before until FIXD came out. Again he offered no solution. I requested his boss name which he provided (Mr. Bell) but shared that his boss was out of town. He shared he would send him a email notifying him that I requested to be contacted as of 11-19-19 I never heard from Mr. bell. I did hear from a technician name mike 11-12-19 who wanted to further discuss the noise. I recorded the sound and sent it to mike via text. Mike said the noise was the blower motor but unfortunately my warranty doesn’t cover it because they don’t cover noises. He told me I would have to wait until it seizes or blows up Because the noise isn’t going to stop its going to get louder and occur more frequently until it eventually blows up. He denied the noise was a result of the technicians work he claims it was just timing. He shared that customer service would be getting in touch with me because maybe they can give me a discount price to repair the noise due to the inconvenience. As of 11-19-19 I have not heard from anyone from FIXD the loud rumbling vibration noise still occurring. I will have to hire an outside company to repair their faulty work. I have never experienced anything like this with a home warranty company. I highly encourage everyone to consider strongly before choosing FIXD as your home warranty. They employee unskilled technicians to repair things in your home and when they break them they don’t take ownership or fix them but in turn tell you to deal with it! They lack follow through and they are not accommodating to the working family.

Double Billing Fraud!

Had tech come out do the work and submitted the invoice to me and I paid 250.00 dollars on a credit card for the completed Job then later they submitted another invoice with my signature forged on the new document bill demanding another 90.00 dollars!

Of course they can't process it without committing fraud under federal law with my credit card again without me signing again! They are fraudsters! STAY Away Beware! I have a receipt in my possession. I hope they do something stupid, so I can have them prosecuted for credit fraud.

Most Frustrating Encounter I've ever had

I just had a very challenging experience with Fixd install. I was given an install date on a Wednesday in which I requested off work to stay home. Wednesday morning I received a message stating that the unit received was damaged, and had to be returned. A second install date was scheduled for the following Monday. I was contacted on Sunday stating that the replacement condenser unit was being tracked and would not be arriving until around 3pm Monday afternoon therefore they would have to schedule the install on Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning they arrive install the furnace then say they are leaving and would return once the AC condenser arrived. I told them I was told the unit arrived yesterday evening that's why you rescheduled for today. The installer said they didn't know about that, last they heard is that the damaged unit was returned. I then stated why would you have me take off work to perform half a job and not know when you will return, and why was I not informed of this upfront? They just basically state "We do what we're told. Several days later they show up with the unit install it then tell me they were finished installing a Heat pump which I didn't not order and was never given a quote for. Then I get a Bill for $600 more than any quote i was given......to be continued.

2 Heat Pumps repaired with most work…

2 Heat Pumps repaired - more or less. Most work completed in early June. However, they didn't have the parts needed the 1st day so we had to wait 3 days before either A/C unit actually worked. A few days later, a brand new fan failed, a couple more for replacement. Heat Pump missing insulation jacket and access panel. Insulation jacket added a few days later, but the access panel is still missing after 2 months and more than 20 phone calls. They won't take partial payment and don't need payment until the job is finished. I do not understand why they aren't concerned about getting paid $6,000 after 2 months of waiting for a simple metal panel.

Took three days to get a tech out to look at HVAC. Had to order parts. Took 4 days to get parts 'in". I found the part online while tech was at my house and offered to purchase it. Nope, part had to come from Fixd. Tech installed part wrong and blew the breaker for the entire house. Had to wait two days for Fixd electrician to come replace breaker. Electric company charged me $200 for service disconnect and $200 for service reconnect. Then had to wait a day for HVAC tech to come back out and replace the cut off on the AC unit. Tech came out with supervisor at unscheduled time. Repairs lasted three weeks. Turns out the issue was not with the unit, it was with the power connection. Fixd tech did not find it. Fixd claimed total for repairs was $3800 and it got fixed with some tape and wire nuts. Total bunk service.

Fixd Home Warranty Review

Our experience with Fixd has been mixed. They App is helpful, but doesn't allow the customer to send comments. Scheduling is slow, unless you want to pay an additional $125 for service in 2 days instead of 3 days. This is significant when the air conditioner goes down and it's 100F.

had a problem with toilet not flushing correctly, you been out three times problem still not fixed.. last time you were out I was told you can't come out for the same problem regardless if it got fixed or not. three stars is being generous.
