It's a waste of time and your hard earned money.

Terrible Customer Support and Community Management.

I have been playing conan exiles for years. I've played in a PVE-C server and built the same base and structure at the same location at the sea never building at the dry sand area. Reason being is because nothing spawns at water areas which means there is nothing to block, atleast thats what I believed to be, On top of that I've built on that spot for 2 years prior to the forced server merge. So for months I have farmed to rebuild my new home there same structure, same design same location. However funcom banned me for blocking resources which they never specified which resources and in what area. The sad part is this is the 4th time, despite my efforts to avoid it as in this case I am literally building at the edge just to avoid it and my base isn't Massive I paid special attention to the rules but the problem is they never really tell you whats the limit they just have pictures of what not to build and I never built any of them in fact I can no longer build more than 3 major structures because its already the edge of the map and I also have neighbors with Land claim at both sides and I never extend passed the water to avoid blocking mobs.
Worst part of it all is that the game is now a live service game. They just wasted my entire year building my last base, not to mention the 80$ crom coins for battle pass and cosmetics that I purchased. Whats the use of cosmetics if you have nothing to use them on. They wiped my base without warning nor the decency to explain and specify the alleged offense so as to avoid it in the future.

If you factor this arbitrary practice of this questionable banning of players for alleged building violations. Turns whatever good thing about the game into nothing. I get that as a survival game its normal to start over however, I played in a mainly PVE server and one of the core mechanic is base building anyone would have assumed that by now rules are clear but nope only funcom moderators knows and can judge you arbitrarily. Combine all that with the fact that now it's q live service game. Charging you 10-15$ for a single armor skin, which used to be 7-10$ for a dlc pack that has 3 armor sets and a bunch of themed building pieces. You would think they will be a bit more considerate in terms of suspension but nope. I got 50$ worth of crom coin that I will never use and never want to use because the game handlers are just greedy, abusive jerks that only want your money. Worst of it you will never get a refund. So not only will you waste time on this mess of a game dev./publisher you will also be wasting your money.
Best advice: look away and never look back.

A good game but in the wrong hands

I start playing conan in 2020.
Played for 6 months. Stop playing because is a game time consuming and with a full of bugs. And cheaters

Started now again with version 3.0
And the amount of exploits and cheats are unbelievable.

The problem here is the service of funcom, after they sell their product they don't care.

Or they ban players that did jot do any wrong (if there's a huge amount of complains they are banned)

Or they don't ban the real cheaters. If is only 1 complaining, with video and prints as proof... nothing is done

Worst, the moderator of the funcom, censore nay bad experience from their forum... so the other so they not know that they provide a bad experience

I sent a letter to santclaus, please make funcom sell conan to other company 🙏

mit dem letzten Conan Exiles "Age of sorcery" hat sichs Funcom mit mir endgültig verspielt: es ist einfach nur eine unglaubliche Frechheit was da mit dem Kunden gemacht wird: in einem Singleplayer Spiel einen ingameshop einzubauen, mit gestaffelte pay2win Inhalte plötzlich, ohne Vorwarnung nach wenigen Jahren nach dem Release, nun ist der neue Inhalt (Magie die total schlecht integriert wurde und die wirklich KEINER wollte) nur noch mit Echtgeld spielbar und der "Bazar" soll total aufdringlich sein (ich habe nur ein Video gesehen, ich hab mir die Ka**e garnicht mehr angetan), wenn ich das Recht hätte, würde ich mein Geld zurück verlangen, ich habe ein gänzlich anderes Spiel gekauft und werde so bösartig übergangen, ich hätte nie so ein Spiel gekauft, es ist einfach nur eine bodenlose Frechheit, ich habe Steam geschrieben dass die gefälligst Regeln erlassen solln um den Kunden vor derartigen Machenschaften zu schützen. Es ist unbeschreiblich dreist, wenn die nicht zurückrudern sieht dieses Studio keinen einzigen Cent mehr von mir. Das Schlimmste ist ja, dass das Spiel permanent verbuggt ist, nach der Implementierung des "Updates" war es verbuggt wie nie zuvor, ich meine es ist die Idee schon so absurd im Singleplayer einenen aufgezwungenen Ingameshop einzuführen, im Sinne von aufdringlich weil dauerpresent, und dass ohne Zahlung (und das scheinbar garnicht wenig) die neuen Inhalte nicht gespielt werden können, das ist aber garnicht das Schlimmste daran: es gibt gar keinen Kundendienst! Eine Community ich glaube auf fb gibt es, und ich weiß bis auf Electronic Arts keinen dermaßen dreisten, ruchlosen und abzockerischen Spieleentwickler, dann noch auf Steam fest gekaufte Rezensionen nachlegen damit die Bewertung besser aussieht, samt diesen fakebewertungen sank die Beliebtheit von ehemals 73% auf knapp über 50%. Ich meine, dass die Geldnot haben ok, das kann man sich vorstellen, ich fand die bundles super, man konnte selber entscheiden, und dass das nicht ewig viel abwirft ist auch verständlich, kostet alles Geld (Server betreiben, neue Spiele entwickeln, MA, Werbung usw.)Vor Allem mit den Energiekosten momentan, keine Frage, ich hätte aber mit den Gamern offen kommuniziert und sie gefragt was sie sich wünschen und ob man sich ev. Auf ein Modell einigen könnte, doch das was hier abgezogen wurde, ist einfach nur ein Armutsteugnis, ich ahnte schon was als sie den eigenen Launcher implementieren, doch dass sie einem so in den Rücken fallen ist einfach nur unfassbar, da fehlt es eindeutig an Kompetenz und Problemlösungsstrategien, die Gamercommunity ist so groß, wenn jemand die Möglichkeit gehabt hätte etwas mit der Community auf die Beine zu stellen, dann CE, und die Leute haben das Spiel geliebt, man siehe allein schon die Moddergemeinschaft an, da wäre bestimmt viel möglich gewesen. Ich verurteile ja garnicht dass Geld gebraucht wird, wir kennen ja ein paar Projekte von FC, das die nicht billig sind kann sich jeder denken, ich kritisiere lediglich die Vorgehensweise, war unglaublich schlecht gewählt, ist echt schade so viel Potenzial einfach aus Gier und Inkompetenz verschwendet

These guys done it again. They released an update that clearly wasn't tested in the least. Conan Age of Sorcery should be called Conan Age of Bugs. Pitiful, worthless scum.

Funcom and their community moderators on steam for conan exiles think mislabelling misinformation against transgender people is ok.

They associate us with crossdressing and encourage misgendering.

Clear discrimination and violation of US and UK laws.

Predatory monetization

Pay $150 for all the DLC, then they decide that isn't enough and start charging $200/year for the same amount of content as previously $40/year in DLCs, but wait there's more, now there's $40/year in FOMO battle passes as well.

Almost $240/year to play a game that is riddled with bugs. Awesome

La peor gestión que he visto de servidores y servicios

Moderadores maleducados y desconsiderados, te dejan hacer pero te banean y te borran todo por construir un poblado un poco grande, sin incumplir ni una norma, te borran lo que llevas meses recopilando y construyendo, que pena que un juego tan bueno y con tanto potencial lo lleve gente tan mala, la peor gestión que he visto de servidores y servicios, además no solo no dan explicaciones sino que te amenazan por pedirlas...

Worst game company ever

Conan Exiles could be a nice game, but it's totally broken and Funcom/Tencent behave really bad.

Here are some of the worst experiences we made:

- Introducing AoW chapter 4, Funcom/Tencent killed the inventory system by a totally unnecessarily change. You cant do precise splitting anymore and its also impossible to transfer some items. In addition they created some mayor bugs: players and thralls are falling through map and foundations and die. Players spawn into building pieces. Official servers are crashing nonstop and players lost their stuff because they could not login anymore. One can just hope karma drops in. These guys are below anything, there is no honor and no profession.

- Due to a chargeback bug thousands of player accounts were banned and accused of an invalid payment transaction. Funcom/Tencent were not able to solve this on time, some players got their account back after 24hrs, but others waited for several days and lost their bases. This the way Funcom/Tencent treat their paying customers.

- The issue about deleted thralls is still not solved. We lost over 100 level 20 thralls while still playing during a 4 day break. The decay system does not work, according the server log no one was online, what a joke.

- By putting the decay timers back to normal Funcom accidentally deleted the thralls from the players. Tons of hours of work are lost again, also all the armors and weapons from the thralls vanished too of course. Meanwhile they made a roll back at the official servers, but it worked only partially. These guys are incapable to do anything in the right way.

- They broke the Siptah DLC for months, the game crashed constantly. Funcom knew about it, but they did nothing to fix it and they still sold the DLC without any notice about the issue.

- They destroyed also the progress from thousands of players by modifying the Nemedian foundations causing all the placed stuff to vanish. Again, the progress of years was lost and renting own servers makes also no sense anymore now, cause you lose your stuff even there! There is only one word INCOMPETENCE!

- Cheaters are a big problem at the official servers, they can't handle them. BattlEye does not really help and Funcom can't figure out who is the real cheater. At some servers you can find "flying bases" all around.

- They run a weaponized banning system. If you want to get a nice location from another player, just report him, that's crazy! They don't even check the situation themself at the server, but outright delete your stuff and you can't defend yourself. We never seen such discriminating behaviour from a game company.

- If you ask their useless Zendesk support, why exactly you got banned, they cant tell it. You just get 0815 answers, but no information what exactly the reason was.

- Funcom don't care if you lose all your stuff and your progress from years, so be warned! If you like to invest time to do nice builds and a lot of decoration, you just may lose it by arbitrariness.

- Some of the Bazaar items are totally useless. There is no information provided within the items at all. You dont get any info about tiers, stats, armor type, values etc... Except of decorating and building stuff, it makes no sense to buy something there.

- Sometimes the Bazaar stuff will be nerfed afterwards. If you realize it, its too late, they already got your money.

- Funcom forum & discord are toxic, if you criticize something you get silenced (there is a bandwagon crew mocking and derailing threads). They blame everyone but themselves and you get answers like "accept it, it's a game". Censorship by deleting unwanted posts also happens.

This is by far the worst game company and support I ever seen. We will spread the word about Funcoms/Tencents behaviour as much as we can and report it in any possible way. Stay away from them and don't give them any money, or you will get the same amount of "love" as we got!

In August 2021 they answered me a ticket from July 2019...

I still couldn't finish this ticket since their support is so weird; they always cleaning the chat history and one time they say so and the other time they say completely different.

I give 1 star because I cant give 0. Terrible company who dont care about their player base at all and refuse to help solve an issue. No real support responses just automated crappy generic responses and still took over a week to respond with an unhelpful response.

Conan Exile is nice , I been playing it for 2 years , I did experience some small bugs but nothing major , is a nice game overall .

Zero support offered

Zero support offered, response time 3 months plus then only directing to forums or existing guides, will then close tickets themselves, bad rep for conan, terrible rep for secret world legends (effectively a dead game)

Funcom want your money

Funcom want your money, they take no pride in their product.

I have enjoyed Conan Exiles for many hours. It is a masterpiece. There is however one huge Achilles heel. All the bugs and crashes. Rather than taking pride in their game and delivering what should be a wonderful, immersive gaming experience their aim, priority and goal is clear. To make as much money as they can for their investors. They are fully aware of the issues felt by countless players, but rather than fix them, they instead focus on creating new content (DLC) that gives them a chance to ring more money out of players.

As with any business, it is a main aim to make money, which is standard practice. However, it is also correct and proper to ensure that the product that has already been sold is fit for purpose. For many players, Conan Exiles is not.

Many games have bugs that detract from their playability, this is normal. However, developers take pride in their product go to great lengths to fix these issues. Funcom have a very different approach, with most of their resources being ploughed into initiatives solely focused on generating more profits and very little emphasis being put on fixing known issues that effect many gamers.

It's a real shame as the crew have done a wonderful job with this game and I am sure they would love to take pride in a fully functional game, but the moneymen who obviously call the shots have made their position clear. Generate revenue, ignore customers. That's greed for you, it has no pride nor principles.

Game ruiners

Conan exiles was a brilliant game when it came out all those years ago but funcom have ruined it with their ridiculous updates. I don’t understand the mentality of the person(s) that keep changing the game. Very disappointed

More like Funless-Cons. There are game breaking bugs that have been in CE since day one of console release which was 3 years ago. If you report bugs or glitches on their website forums you will be silenced, have your posts flagged, removed and even get banned simply for pointing out bugs and doing their job for them. They only update the game about once a year and when they do it's to sell more over priced skins, break things, and make the game more of a grind. The last update also completely changed my characters face and hair, so if you like creating and customizing a character that will all just get randomized one day after a update and your character will be unrecognizable. They NEVER fix bugs, crashing issues or freezing. If you watch their live streams you see the devs laughing and joking about empty servers, they don't even care. I HIGHLY recommend no one buy their games, you WILL regret it and end up feeling scammed.

Funcom is a horrible video game publisher......They claim to care about the opinions of their customers, but they don't.....Funcom employees are a bunch of lazy careless slackers who will actively look to silence ANY critics that speak out about how screwed up Funcom is.....I will never buy another product made by Funcom...EVER!

Funcom customer service have no regard…

Funcom customer service have no regard to actual situation or circumstance, carpet-ban all long time fans without actually checking if they did anything wrong. CS only replies to requests with generic quotes, no actual understanding of the situation.

I visited a server over 3 months ago to check out the creations of a guy. He invited me to his clan to give me access to his compound. I stayed 30m, then I never went back, never played on that server or with that clan.

This week the clan was banned due to blocking a spawn point, and everyone in the clan was banned account-wide for their mistake without notification of a chance to correct their mistake. Since I was invited, I was also banned account-wide from all Conan servers for a mistake that clan made on a server I have never actually played on.

I tried to explain the situation to Funcom CS, but my explanation only met with generic quotes without any regard to the actual situation. I tried to appeal twice without any success.

First off I ignored all warnings of Funcom/Conan Ex. Bought Conan 4 months in Im retired i play 8am to 8pm everyday tell 2day. My saved game is gone and im back a creation screen.Had close to 15k hrs. Im done with funcom
