Shockingly bad company, rude salesmen and non existent support. Use them at your own peril. I would go with a far more reputable and helpful company, do not trust them to have your back at any stage of the process

We made tentative steps to find out about solar panels and we were inundated. The majority wouldn't commit to a house inspection, only to supply an online survey and quote. The only supplier that didn't hesitate was Fresh Electrical, Lin Spreadbury, their salesperson, came round inspected the loft, viewed the roof and gave a full explanation of solar panels, ancillary equipment, expected savings and options of systems. Lyn was extremely professional, which gave us the confidence to proceed. The installation went ahead with no complaints regarding the scaffolding crew or the installation of cables and electrical equipment. Unfortunately the solar panel installation and bird guard we were not so happy with. We called Fresh Electrical and discussed the problem, they didn't hesitate to sort the problem. Lin came round the next working day and agreed it wasn't right. Fresh Electrical organised a second installation team reasonably quickly (Ricky and Bob(?)) they sorted out the problem. They were a good couple of lads, who did a superb job in about 1.5 hours and now it looks very neat and tidy and we are happy. Just awaiting the removal of the scaffolding and the MCS certificate.

I chose this company because of Ravi’s professionalism, product knowledge, and friendly approach — he explained the process clearly and made me feel confident in proceeding. The team (Dan and Ravi) has also been very responsive whenever I’ve raised questions, which I truly appreciate.

That said, there were a few aspects of the installation that could have been handled more in line with the original plan and professional best practices — such as inverter/battery location, panel layout, cable management, and placement of the consumer unit. While some of these have since been addressed, clearer communication between sales, installers, and the customer would help avoid last-minute changes and ensure expectations are met.

Overall, I value the team’s expertise and willingness to help, and I hope to see even stronger attention to detail in future projects.

An excellent customer service experience from start to finish. Mark Robertson (on the sales team) did a wonderful job understanding our needs, explaining our options and supporting us through the sales process. He was never “pushy” - giving us time to peruse the information emailed, and answering the numerous questions we had.

The scaffolding team was professional and quick, and the installation team showed attention to detail and consideration for the final “look” and impact on the aestetics of the house.

When we contacted customer care re: an accidental damaged roof tile, this was professionally handled to our satisfaction.

And Kelsey Pope did a wonderful job in dealing with the vast amount of paperwork involved in the installation.

We are very satisfied with the outcome and impressed by the service received.

Fresh Electrical Solutions made the whole process of getting solar panels fitted to our house extremely easy and pain-free. Their initial in-person assessment of our requirements was very detailed, the quote was easy to understand, the booking for the actual physical installation was straightforward, the installer was excellent in both the quality of his work and explaining how the system worked afterwards and they even took care of all the necessary paperwork for us, too. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a no-fuss solar panel installation experience.

The whole process was well organised and all the personnel involved were knowledgeable and helpful.
The only downside was having to chase up the office for the paperwork

Hi the experience was learning curb for me, Lyn sales representative was and still is very helpful at all times, she could do enough to help me, and the experts who in stalled the equipment and went out of there way to help me how it all worked and tutorials on U Tube, the experts at Fresh were very helpful, and went out of there way with any problems I had, and go between Lyn which was excellent.
My experience with Fresh was excellent, and really recommended FreshElectricalSolutions.

I chose Fresh after seeing they work with big brands like Costco and reading some decent reviews. The sales team was a bit pushy but nothing unexpected, and while the installation was delayed due to a van breakdown and some broken panels, it eventually got sorted. I had to chase them up to reschedule and later to sort out the final paperwork and scaffolding. There were a few bumps along the way, but everything was resolved in the end.

I cannot recommend this company, I found through Costco. First they said no problem that my house is in renovation, and they committed to an appointment, but they called the day before and told me they won't survey a place that is a "site". The thing is that when else would you want to fit solar panels with batteries if you want all of the cables and parafenalia hidden? He said he would call back after speaking to a manager and never did, they haven't kept the appointment. What a waste of my time!
There's more than enough other good local firms that I can recommend, sorry Costco whose supplier always are good, BUT not this one!

Follow up sales care-terrible!

I would like to get an ecopy of my MCS certificate but cannot get through to anyone by phone-I have left messages and left my phone number-but no one bothers to ring me back! I have tried repeatedly for about 10 days now! Have they never heard of after sales care-which, if good, sometimes leads to further business!

Someone from Customer Services responded very quickly to my review and I now have a copy of the certificate I was after and apparently some of the phone numbers I was using were out of date.

Purchased the Solar installation through Costco. The whole experience was exemplary from my first meeting with Lyn Spreadbury who informed me of my choices and explained in detail the process. Kept me in the loop pre-and post installation. Harry and Tom carried out the install who were again professional and competent. Fresh Electrical Solar furnished me with certificates and guarantees. I would most definitely recommend fresh Electrical Solar to family and friends.

Fresh solar gave a reasonable quote compared to other companies. Once the survey was done and we accepted the quote, a fairly early date was fixed fgor installation. They quickly answered a few questions we had, satisfactorily. Few days before installation the scaffolding went up very quickly and smoothly. On the day of installation the team arrived early morning and everything went like clockwork. Our panels, batteries, inverter etc were were all in place by lunchtime. They gave all the paperwork and explained again how the system was working and helped to download the app on our mobile so we could see the current position whenever we wanted.
All in all, couldn't ask for things to go more smoothly.

Although my roof isn’t suitable for panels, she explained the battery storage solution and amazingly, advised me to change suppliers from EDF and renegotiate my tariff. I did this and immediately saved over £200 per month…

We had our solar system installed by Fresh Electrical Solutions at the beginning of this month ad it was a little bumpy at the beginning but my worries where addressed very swift by Fresh team and we are now happy whit the overall installation so far is working great and it makes a huge difference no electrical bill to pay anymore as we can relay on the system to keep us to a zero consumption so far .We had a 6kw solar panels and 10 kw battery highly recommend Fresh electrical solutions team

Well the whole installation went smoothly and on time. The scaffolding was erected and taken down promptly. The panels and inverter and batteries plus all the cabling was professionally installed and looked very neat. The salesperson (Lyn) was and is still customer focused and friendly. The app on the phone is brilliant and I’m saving money with all this lovely sunshine. Lyn has been very diligent is sorting out teething problems.

Had solar panels installed must say Lynn who we dealt with in sales was such a lovely lady she explained everything thoroughly and if we had, any questions I could just message her any time, had phone call to update us on what was happening and when.
The lads that did the installed Tom & Harry agin such lovely well mannered guys has respect for our property did a great job explained how everything worked. Asked do we have any questions. They cleaned up after themselves when job was complete. They look great in the roof. Overall well impressed with the service form the time we enquired to after job complete. Lynn called to explain about when the certificate will come and reminded us to contact our energy supplier to give certificate number for feeding in tariff. Again any questions call or message her. What good after sales. Will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

We are two months post installation so thought about time to leave a review. A word to describe overall experience… Brilliant! I was so skeptical about which company to use because there are so many to choose from but decided on Fresh because Costco use them as an installer. Figured if Costco can trust them then so should I. I didn’t have a clue what I needed for an installation despite spending many many hours looking at various options and other people’s opinions. So as such had many questions that I fielded to Dan, he was very patient and explained in laments terms for me what certain things meant. I was very grateful for the kind and courteous response to my questions. I shopped around as I didn’t want to overpay but was pleasantly surprised that the original quote was lower than anyone else’s. Dan made queries with national grid about our installation and because we are the one of the last two houses from the substation we can’t export until national grid change a wire from the station to the grid. He let us know this well in advance and did all the leg work to get the ball rolling. Although we can’t export straight away they were still able to fit our panels and battery so we could start making some savings straight away. We have 20 panels and 10kw battery and our bill has gone down from £180 per month to 2
£28 per month and that includes 53p per day standing charge! Really want to thank the installers too, the roofer moved a couple of broken tiles he found to a more manageable place so I could change them and even sent me a video of how to do it. The electrician found some loose wires on our recently installed consumer unit and most like saved our house from a fire. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Lastly although not heard anything for two months upon an email to Dan to ask how we chase up national grid he responded in seconds to say he would do it for us! Top notch service from a provider I would highly recommend!!
