Lies, Dishonesty and Fraud.

Lies. I signed up with the premium plan and I still get lots of advertisements. The plan says NO ads but those ads are a lie. I am so sick of dishonest greedy corporations ran by sociopathic criminals. The wanton greed in the US is destroying the country and people. We need heavy regulations on every industry to stop psychopathic executives from stealing from Americans.

Not a happy streamer

I signed up for friendly mainly to watch when calls the heart. The ads are absolutely ridiculous. I finally set my phone timer because I was appalled at how long the ads actually were. Four minutes and 43 seconds! I timed the actual show in between ads and it was six minutes and 44 seconds. I sent an email with my complaint but really didn’t get anywhere with that so I tried to cancel since it had only been two weeks since I subscribed for the year. I was told that they would refund but keep 15%. And I can’t even watch when calls the heart because most all of the seasons and episodes you have to do the Hallmark add-on for 799 a month. I would not recommend this streaming channel to anyone.

This is nothing more than commercial…

This is nothing more than commercial channel anymore! It used to be great and you could actually watch a movie, but now it’s more commercials than anything. I’m not gonna pay for watching commercials and I’m gonna cancel this channel if nothing changes soon.

I tried to sign up for a FREE trial and…

I tried to sign up for a FREE trial and instead I got a years subscription that I can’t cancel for over $80. I tried calling to cancel. I tried websites to cancel but No!!!!
I am livid!!!! Every time I click on a show to watch that I paid for I get a you have to subscribe another subscription in order to watch it!!!!!!
What a rip off!
You will never get another penny out of me!

Thieves, I signed up for a monthly and they took out for the entire year. That is not how you do business. I wish I'd read these reviews before signing up. I'm a senior and cannot afford to be ripped off. DO not sign up for frndly.

Ita advertised on my roku as being 6.99…

It's advertised on my roku as being 6.99 a month. I continue to the next screen and click the 6.99/mo then when I get to the 3rd screen it changes to 8.99 a month! After I do my 7 day trial. I would've been fine paying 6.99 after the 7 day but in order to get this price it wants to take 84$ from my account in order to do so. Why would anyone pay almost 100$ for a year? I only paid 20$ for a whole year of peacock and 12 for starz then 2.99 a month for max.
Max is the best out of all 4. And it's costing me 36 for a year. So 84 would be completely insane! I guess these providers still haven't gotten the memo. People have so many options now. We don't have to settle anymore.

Be aware it's a Total Scame

Be aware it's a Total Scame, they will raise the price with out you knowing then your stuck with the bill, if one doesn't catch on you could lose hundres of dollars or up in the Thousands. They will pull the money 💰 out of your account once they start doing that your screwed. I was taken for $600.00, no refund or notice ahead of time im a retired Military. Sueing them.

Totally wasted $96

Totally wasted $96. You won't believe the hassle you have to go through to watch content without the commercials - which account for about 50% of the air time; I'm not exaggerating. You don't get commercial-free; you get "DVR the shows you want to watch, and when they're ready, you can go to your "catalog" and watch but you have to "fast forward" through the commercials - nothing except St. Judes, and ASPCA. I hope they burn down.

$15 Non-Refundable Processing Fee

We heard of Friendly TV last month and decided to give it a try. After only three days of their "free" seven day trial, we chose to cancel. They had already charged our account, which was not supposed to happen until after the "free" trial ended. When I contacted customer service, they said refunds were not an option, but decided to make a "one time exception" and refund all but a $15 processing fee. I said I expected a FULL refund, but they would not budge, saying their advertisers and programmers are paid in advance, so the processing fee is nonrefundable. They do not explain this when signing up. Also, they claim we used our "free" trial back in 2023. We had never heard of Friendly TV until last month. This is clearly a scam, based on other reviews and our own personal experience.

Feels too much like bait and switch

Feels too much like bait and switch. It was the only streaming service to have a show I was interested in, so I signed up for a MONTHLY subscription. When I searched for and found my show, it was not complete seasons, only random episodes😡 What good is that?? When I went to cancel my "free trial", I saw that I would have been charged for a YEAR, not monthly!
What a colossal waste of time!! Will just go buy the TV show I wanted.

Frndly.tv airs ONLY 100% “ai ads,” but wants REAL people to believe them. Those aren’t “trustworthy people,” they’re generated opinions based off their own company. What an absolute joke. Also, they claim to have thousands of subscribers yet not a single one of those subscribers are human. Yeah lol I’lltake my money elsewhere.

Way to many commercials

Way to many commercials. It's almost impossible to watch anything that hasn't been recorded first. For a paid service, it's sad. I find it amazing how I pay for so many services and yet Tubi and Pluto have so much to watch for free and still have only a couple of adds during a show. These services need to realize that they need to offer an add free subscription level of they will not last. I happily pay for add free with services that offer it. I'll be dumping friendly as an option. I have it for one channel only that youtube doesn't carry.

I accidentally clicked the wrong box…

I accidentally clicked the wrong box and they charged me 95 dollars for the year. They said they normally don’t give back refunds but they would give me one. But they were taking $15 out of it in order to pay their program people. That sounds really fishy to me.

Trial was easy to activate

Trial was easy to activate. I pay 10.99 for the Classic plan. I love the channel lineup. There are commercials, but I can fast forward through them so that doesn't bother me. My mom loves Hallmark and she is able to sign in at her house using my account. You really can't beat the price for what you get. Customer service helped me navigate the guide and now it's like second nature.

Overcharged For two months in a row

For two months in a row, instead of being charged the $7.99/month for basic, I have been charged $18.60 for premium. I did not sign up for premium. While I like the channel line up, the hassle of reporting fradulent charges to my bank makes it not worth it. After the first overcharge, I cancelled my subscription and signed up, again, for basic plan. I saw that I was overcharged, again, today. Was able to send an email, as they have no number to call. Awaiting their reply.

BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE

Perhaps the worst streaming service I have ever used. I try to sign in, it tells me I don't have an account. I try to create an account and it tells me I have an account. The customer service halfwits they call assistants are absolutely morons.

Too many ad breaks for the sub. Price

We signed up for a free trial to watch a movie. The movie came with enough commercial breaks to equal almost 45 minutes of commercial watching (almost every 7 minutes).
For a 9.99 a month subscription, you are not getting what you pay for as a customer. There are way too many ads to justify spending that. The movie was hard to get into because of all the ad breaks. Then, you have to go into your Amazon prime in a browser to complete cancelling subscription. They make it as difficult as they can.
