Hi Arie, PayPal is a smooth experience 99% of the time but we do see some customers have issues occasionally. Were you able to speak with their customer support team at all? Alternatively, once the money is returned to us we can resend it to another PayPal address, whether one you create or a friend or family member. My first time using Frugal Flyers and…
My first time using Frugal Flyers and it was a positive experience. They were responsive when I emailed them. I couldn't apply for a credit card through their link, but they managed to help me and I received the additional frugal flyer bonus in the end.

DO NOT USE FOR CANADIAN ITIN APPLICATIONS
I used their service for my ITIN application. I am a Canadian citizen and followed the steps laid out by Frugal Flyer including getting certified copies of my passport from Canadian governemnt. All went smoothly until I received notice after a few weeks from the IRS stating that my certified copy of my passport was not sufficient.
I contacted Frugal Flyer asking if they knew what was going on and they said that they were aware the IRS was not accepting certified copies of Canadian passports. I expressed my confusion that they would keep certified copies as a step in the application process if they knew it would get your application thrown out.
I did not receive a response. I asked for a copy of the application package as the link they send is valid for 7 days. Again, no response. I have been polite and accommodating but after 4 months and multiple attempts to make contact them with only the one unhelpful response, I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere.
At least let this serve you to know that certified copies of Canadian passports from the Canadian government are not being accepted.

My apologies for the gap in service you received. I've emailed you individually and hope things have been clarified now.
As explained in the email, you were unfortunately caught in the aftermath of a recent change by Service Canada in Fall 2023 where they stopped embossing seals on certified passport copies. We have since published a blog post about this and have included notices on some of our ITIN content and ITIN page on our website.
Also want to reiterate both for yourself and other potential customers, our service is only for form preparation. We prepare a W7 and 1040 NR return and hand it off to the customer to complete the application steps. Although we do sometimes share experience or advice, handling any of the communication with IRS or changing requirements of the IRS are beyond the scope of our service. This is why the service remains affordable at under $200.
Once again, thank you for your feedback. While it may not settle your frustrations, know that we’ve taken it into account to help improve our process going forward and provide a better experience to future customers.

Our advertised payout timeline is within 3 months from the application date. However, we almost always pay out earlier than that, as fast as 2 weeks for many applications.
In your case, we had to reach out to the financial institution to confirm the approval, which takes additional time. Once we heard back, the rebate was paid back within a week, with an overall turnaround time of 2 months from the application date.
We hope you will consider using Frugal Flyer again in the future.
