Independent stockist programme… DONT DO IT!
Thinking about being an independent stockist? My advice - DONT.
We were an independent for roughly a year. After speaking to someone at an open day we were told that due to being a vape shop we would be unable to stock warhammer due to having 18+ products. We then found out that the rival vape shop to us had been approached to stock warhammer?! Naturally we decided to approach them again. Only for GW to call and inform our rivals!!!
After stocking this for around a year and seeing a drastic downturn in sales, our rep recommended that we take on the paint range (for over £1K) and stated that most stockists see a 70% increase in sales. We were continuously called until we settled on taking the range on.
Sadly in 3 months we sold a grand total of about 8 pots of paint out of several hundred! When we asked to return the stock we were told it wasn't allowed and we needed to pay the full amount. When we told them that we weren't getting the sales and needed to review, we were instantly de listed from the stockists on the website. Literally within minutes of the call ending. Within a day GW had approached another store in town and convinced them to take on the products!!!
The next thing we knew GW had informed a debt collection agency to retrieve the full amount or stock from the business. I was forced to sell the stock on Ebay for an outrageous loss to offset the remaining amount, and then had to use my house deposit to pay the rest!
The whole experience with GW was nothing but a total shambles. You have to order via an Excel spreadsheet, meaning that the stock figures aren't live. You don't find out that something you have ordered is out of stock until it just doesn't turn up! Meaning if you've placed an order for a customer, they are left quite upset!
GW also only allow one order per week, which if ordered on a Monday, usually arrives Thursday or Friday. We had an issue where when we had placed an order, a customer wanted to order £400+ of stock. We called our Rep to be told that we would have to place the order the following week as we had used our one order per week. Even though it was within an hour of placing it! We said we were happy to pay postage, still to be told no. Losing us a £400 sale! Totally ridiculous way of running a business.
They also take back range stock, only for the returns not to arrive, when they then refuse to refund you for the stock!!!
To compete with online you realistically have to offer 20-25% discount. Making the margins pathetically small. Trying to get hold of new edition boxes is a total joke. They are usually totally out of stock, and when they finally get some for you to buy... They announce a made to order for the customers. Leaving you with a fortune in stock you can't shift.
The ranges that they offer you are also the same ones that every stockist has to carry, along side the GAME UK stores. Meaning theres absolutely no variety in stock from one GW independent stockist to the next.
As appealing as GW will make this sound when they give you the sales pitch, don't fall for it! Find another product to stock, it'll be far less stressful and you'll make FAR better margins!!!

Sehr sehr negativ, ich habe ein Jahres-Abbo für Warhammer TV hinter mir .... den Content für diesen Preis, nie wieder! Die Guten Seiern strecken sich über Ewigkeiten, graphische high End Animationen (The Exodite) wie Astartes haben se grad mal 3 Folgen (je ca 11,12,13 min) hinbekommen, peinlich! Ich werde nie wieder in meinem Leben auch nur einen Cent direkt an GW senden!
Be smart and avoid.
Appalling service. Highly advise against ordering online, delivery claims to be 2 days but what they don't tell you is that it can take up to a week to process the order, so while you're sat waiting a couple of days for it to arrive they've already taken your money and not bothered to put the order in. This is not a new company struggling with unexpected orders so there's no excuse for not fixing this.

Éviter ce site. Soit vous recevez des commandes incomplètes ou vous ne les recevez pas. Service client qui répond à vos mails de temps en temps. Quand au service client via leur numéro de téléphone commençant par 04, personnes ne parlent français.
Quickly received my parcel
Quickly received my parcel, although it was shipped from the UK to Taipei, Taiwan. Totally took only 12 days (including weekend), counting from the order placement date.
Encountered minor issue with my set, but the support responded really fast and helped me to solve with generous gift.
Only one disappointment for me is that older FB boxes are provided with simple and faceless boxes, that is a bummer knowing what amazingly-designed boxes they had before.

Games Workshop Hates You
This company has no respect or care for its customers. Their communication is virtually none existent and what little they manage is so poor and unprofessional it’s like talking to a wall. They discontinue products without considering the ramifications of their actions. Try buying a Forgeworld Contemptor Dreanought, and asking how you buy its arms! GW is dreadful and I’ll never buy their products again!

Honestly, what is wrong with this company?! They take their customers for mugs, every time. Produce a codex, fill it with great rules, sell them, sell the units that everyone is excited about and then nerf the living **** out of them within a month or 2!! It's a scam and almost fraudulent in my opinion. Profits, profits, profits is all it's about anymore and they don't care what they do to get them. Do they even play test rules?!? I have been purchasing GW products for almost 3 decades now and pre ordered the Horus heresy box set over 3 weeks in advance and they stated it would be shipped by a specific date nothing has happened they continuously falsely advertise what they will provide and and when I asked for a refund they tell you they can’t do it because of the system they have and basically they cant refund you until after the product has arrived in a unknown amount of time then I have to mail it back for them to refund my money even when my product is still at their wharehouse supposedly probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced this company has gone down the drain after this GW will be definitely loosing a long time customer I will gladly take my business elsewhere where customers are appreciated

Never pre-order. They WILL NOT honor the terms of service on their website - and they WILL NOT cancel my order despite the order STILL NOT haven been shipped. Much like their games, their customer service is only a shadow of what it used to be.

Wasted my money. Didn't receive anything.
So I placed an order stating that it would take about 5 working days to be delivered. So I waited some time and checked for a tracking number figuring it should've been arriving soon but there was no information. I followed up with the company to see what was going on to which the person didn't have any information. With this I called regularly throughout the week to finally get someone to tell me that it was finally being picked which was past the delivery window. I would check every day for a tracking number and then call if there wasn't one to which they kept apologizing and saying that it was being picked. I eventually got a tracking number about 3 weeks later to which made me a little happier. Surprisingly or not I never received the package. I let them know but all they did was confirm I never received it. I basically told them that I didn't expect anything to be done so I have accepted that I will never receive my order from them. Games Workshop I such a terrible company and won't be ordering from them again.
Decent kits and paints, abysmal processing and shipping.
Decent kits and paints. Would be nice if they actually processed orders within any reasonable time period. My advice is to buy from second hand vendors as the vast majority of them will have what you need at lower prices and much faster processing times (like we're talking cutting a 2-4 week processing time to just a few days processing time in most cases, on top of costing about 80-90% the price.)
Do your wallet and your backlog a favor and order from elsewhere. There's really no reason to pay $5+ for some tiny paint pots of mediocre paint and then have to wait a month to get them too.
I love this companies products
I love this companies products, even though they are very overpriced and getting worse by the year, the plastic addiction is too strong to resist. I would recommend that anyone who can should visit a store rather than use the website when possible, the staff are extremely helpful and polite and really make you feel appreciated. (I have seen a lot of staff come and go over my 30 years collecting, and even as a kid I always left feeling like I was a valued customer).
You will get your pre-order...eventually.
With response times that would make a veteran bureaucrat proud, you can expect nothing but the worst customer service from Games Workshop.
If you pre-order, be prepared - you're not buying a product, you're negotiating with the customer service version of Darth Vader: - we promised you shipping times within 3-5 business days...oops, it arrived 5 weeks later. Pray we do not alter your delivery times further. Great products, but do yourself a favor and do not buy via their online store, buy elsewhere.
Deceptive advertising and bad customer service
Ordered a box of miniatures and it came with pieces missing, but it was advertised as having those pieces. After the Kill Team Nachmund box released and people complained the crane antenna was missing, Games Workshop simply changed the pictures on their advertising to hide the fact that they were misleading with their pictures. The Customer services took months to respond and finally responded with: "kitbash your own piece from bits you already have".
Good quality, well priced minis/games
I won't pretend to have a lot of experience with GW or Warhammer, but from the few products I have purchased as starter sets, in the last few weeks, from Amazon, they seem very well put together and very detailed. I did experience a situation where you had to be very gentle with some models, if too much pressure. But this is a learning curve really.
