I have never needed to whipper snip (it was always hubby's job). Unfortunately, due to his ill health, the job is now mine but there was no way I could use the heavy petrol line trimmer we had. I have been gradually replacing my own garden tools with battery alternatives so thought I would give Lawno a try.
Being directionally challenged and never great at putting things together, I followed the instruction videos. They were very helpful and more useful to me than the printed instructions (which I will use in future if I need a quick refresh).
I won't lie; it took me a little while to master whipper snipping but once I got the hang of it, I was very proud of myself and didn't do too bad a job for my first time ever. I will need to practice edging, that wasn't great, but I think it was a combination of the user and the wet ground being too soft and muddy. I don't mind mowing with a standard mower, but using the Lawno was almost like vacuuming! Again, I'll practice that a bit more as my standard mower does a neater job.
I might consider a second battery but will see if I get quicker once I know what I am doing.
I am very happy with the purchase and highly recommend the Lawno - for the record I am in my 60's and found it much easier on the body!!

I think this product is amazing. It's definitely a game changer for me - no more lifting mowers up stairs or changing equipment to make garden maintenance take longer than it should.
My only worry is that most of it is made out of plastic so i wonder how long it will last?

The lawnmow is fantastic. Gardeners Crate provide a great video for you to watch which explains how to put your lawnmow together and the best way to use it. Just love it.

I initially thought the Lawno sounded too good to be true, so I did some searching online and found that it was the real deal. So I bought one.
Well, needless to say, I'm impressed. I've done my edges, which I've always had to do by hand, trimmed along the path, gone around all the trees and raised garden beds and it was all so easy. I also did some mowing but had a few issues there. I was holding it at the wrong angle and digging into the lawn a bit. But I'll practice till I get it right. Overall, a great lightweight machine, easy to maneuver. Didn't take too long to arrive and notifications along the way.

They are wonderful. They are a great local company in SA. I was honest as they sent me another kit instead of just a spare battery. So i got intouch with them of what had happened and they were lovely. Next i am told that i can keep the extra kit which i will give to my girlfriend or family. Thankyou so much you have made my day. Not many companies out there that would do what you did.

I had an issue with the spindle button not engaging and therefore not locking the rotating head and allowing the blades to be tightened. I emailed them for help and received a response with 2 hours with a suggestion that resolved the problem. I'm normally sceptical of service claims but I was genuinely surprised by the response. Well done Gardeners Crate.

I love my new Lawno, found it easy to put together with the instructions that came with it and watching the video link you sent by email. It's so light to use and I don't have to get hubby to wind cord on for me like he had to with the wipersnipper so thank you very much for making this wonderful product Cheers Sandy ❤️

Mainly the weight was our problem with our old whippersnipper. Although we had the tool, we ended up paying for someone to do our gardens.

Harder to get a refund than to quit Fitness First.
I tried it, I didn’t like it, I asked for a refund and then the games began. “Have you tried this?” “Have you tried that?” “Please send a photograph of everything?” “What kind of grass do you have?” “You know you really want to keep it.” I asked for a refund three times and was blocked each time. “Your refund absolutely stands, just ……”

The product arrived in good time and the packaging was really well organised and looks great. I have used it a few times now and it works well on trimming particularly. As my property is very large, I imagine it will only work efficiently on small jobs which is fine and the lighter weight counters the heavy duty models so I am happy with that. Ease of use will make trimming around fence lines etc better as I can now do them more often and less time consuming because I don't have to continually change the line.

My garden is already looking great. I have not been able to whipper snip for many years due to the weight and difficulty starting the tool. I have been able to whipper snip with ease and really enjoy using my Lawnmow

Well I turned it on!

As it wasn't too scary I wandered over to some weeds and grass that were escaping from the garden bed and boom they were gone!

Fortunately I was wearing my safety glasses! Definitely needed those!
As for the gloves.. they were a bit bulky..so they were discarded.

I became more adventurous and headed to some larger patches of runaway grass under my roses.. it did the trick, until a length became stuck under the cutter...

Fortunately again! I had read the instructions, but, as a wife of a mechanic, I already knew that to fix a unit, turned off or not, is highly dangerous 😳 so.. I disengaged the battery before attempting to clear cutter.. it was a super easy fix.. and then replaced the battery.. to begin again.

Very pleased.. ❤️ my only personal experience that for me was holding the switch on. Supposedly I could do with muscle building, but holding the switch in was quite hard for me.. But it is a safety mechanism, so it is necessary.

But now I have to rest.. lol, super happy, relaxing, having a coffee, and wondering who is going to clear up my mess.. 😄

lol, I used to do that part for my husband, but now I doing my husband's job.. oh well, I will have to embrace the Blue Zone people.. gardening creates natural physical health.. google them..

But I wasn't always wanting to be physical. I will embrace it to become healthy. So me and my friend Lionel Lawno have now a big adventure!

Delivery was on time and contact via email has been excellent. The product is lightweight and easy to use. I have never done the wippersnipping before because the equipment was too heavy, bulky and hard to start. The Lawno is none of that and i have been able to trim around my fruit trees for the first time. It looks great.

I am loving my Lawno, living in a townhouse it the perfect tool to keep everything ship shape. Delivery was good and set up instructions made it easy to assemble. No issues to report.

The experience of placing the order and receipt of goods was very smooth. The instructions on assembling and how to use the machine was excellent. I am very happy with the product.
