One morning, I checked my email and saw a flood of alerts multiple login attempts, failed password resets, and a chilling subject line from GBT: “Security Notification Immediate Action Required.” My stomach dropped. I logged in what was left of my balance was gone. My data, my funds, my trust it had all been compromised. GBT had been breached, and I was caught in the middle.

The days that followed were a blur. I filed complaints, froze my accounts, and tried to wrap my head around what happened. I was constantly on edge, jumping at every email and notification.
