I bought a stainless steel built-in GE dishwasher a few months ago and it is the biggest waste of money. The info says it has a Pirannha system which keeps the dishes clean. Whatever the system, this dishwasher has NEVER completely cleaned my dishes or cutlery. It uses lots of very hot water, AND I use the top of the line detergent and booster. As it is built in, it's too much trouble to take it back. Do not waste your money on this so-called superior dishwasher.
I do scrape my dishes before putting them in the appliance, but I am NOT going to prewash them, that is why I have a dishwasher. There was NOTHING wrong with my 20 year old dishwasher, I was renovating and bought a new one. I am totally frustrated with it. BTW I have a water softener too.
The GE Way?
Just bought a new GE microwave and a new GE oven. The problem is the clock on the oven is white and the oven light is blue. GE says it’s just the way it is and get use to it. The oven is made in Kentucky and and microwave is made in Malaysia. Are GE employees Color blind? It looks ridiculous and the GE Way is just accept it. Or buy something else?

We have dangerous amounts of carbon monoxide coming from our GE gas stove and GE refuses to fix and covers it up. They have been very arrogant and cursed at us. It was a brand new stove. We are seeking to sue them!

Never buy from GE
Never buy from GE. A day prior to delivery I received a call from a woman who spoke poor English and tried to speak to me while on speaker and sounded like she was out at Walmart. I could really make out what she was saying but the delivery time was between noon and 4pm. On the delivery day, I took the whole day off from work and they show up at 6pm with a broken appliance. I was told that they would call 30 minutes before arrival but did not receive a call. I do not know what the next step is because nobody speaks English. I took a day off of work and still do not have an appliance.
Piece of JUNK
If I could give this company a zero I would they should make a 0 to 5 not one through five. They do not deserve the one. I’ve had a washer and dryer for two years. I’ve had three people come out and look at it and they tell me nothing is wrong. I have the identical piece in Oklahoma and it works fine. The one I have now we have to readjust the contents on every wash very single time we use the machine it is such a piece of junk. On the wash cycle I walks about three feet. We can only do laundry while we’re home as we’re afraid it would rip the plumbing off the wall, I’m about ready to take it to the dump. I would absolutely recommend to run very far away from this line.
I recently bought a GE microwave
I recently bought a GE microwave, model JVM7195SKSS. After it was installed I noticed it appears to go into the cabinet above the stove at an up angle, like it is tiled up. When sitting and facing the microwave, one can see the bottom of the microwave. Also, the door panel that is in between the exterior and interior glass came with a ding in it. My kitchen faces west so when the sun hits the microwave the ding is very noticeable. To boot there’s a halo around it. I contacted the business where I bought it and they said they will order a door replacement. I emailed a photo but haven’t heard back acknowledging my email has been seen and the door was ordered. Sent another email requesting an update. Not happy at all with this purchase.
Bought GE Electric Cloths Dryer…
Bought GE Electric Cloths Dryer recently. Take 3-4 hours to dry a load of cloths with 3 lint filter cleanings. Will never purchases another GE product. Buyer Beware!
BUILT IN OBSOLESCENCE
After 6 years the Magnetron in this Monogram product has gone bad (part no. WB27X10682). I just paid a GE Monogram technician $140 to tell me that the part IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. I have been told by Noreen at GE Customer Relations that I have no choice but to buy a new microwave oven Model No. ZEB1227SLSS for $765, $300 for the Trim Kit Part No. ZX2127SLSS, $99 for delivery and $140 for another service call to have it installed. That's a total of $1304 plus sales tax.
The fact that a GE Monogram part, for an appliance that was first made available in 2015, is no longer available, is unbelievable.
That GE sells a product with what can only be described as Built-In Obsolescence is beyond disappointing.
All of my appliances are GE Monogram, Double Oven, Built-in Refrigerator, Built-in Freezer, 2 Dishwashers, 48" Range, 48" Hood, Washer and Dryer.
To be honest, I find myself stuck in a holding pattern; as much as I love my GE Monogram products, I am extremely reluctant to invest my money and faith in a product for which replacement parts could very well be discontinued in a few years.

Two years ago we bought this ge laundry center unit. Upon delivery the dryer drum making an awful scraping sound, ge repairman came out and looked at it and determined that we needed a new drum. Drum ordered. New drum works fine. Now for the recent issue. The motherboard, fuse, thermofuse keep going out. We have gad our own repair man come and replace them all about 6 times. An they keep going out. I called ge and they accused my repairman of not knowing what he was doing. And yhe stupid lady I spoke with at ge said all she could do was to send me a module to diagnose the problem. What good does that do? What i'd like to have is for ge to refund my money do I can buy a different brand, but thats not gonna happen. I guess I'm stuck with this crappy piece of crap that doesn't even work. Now I have to go to a laundromat to wash clothes, which takes up a lot of time. Thank you ge for making such an excellent product!

Customer service is non existent they act like you are bothering them when you ask something they do not order you the right parts bc they are not paying attention. People working from home in some cases have gotten extremely lazy and they have alot of background noise when they are supposed to be working and paying attention and doing the job and work they are being paid for. The pandemic has made people in some jobs become extremely lazy bc no one is watching it is sad some people should be baby sat at work. I have never seen a company worse than GE's customer service its horrid! Do something about it ! It is an absolute shitshow! I had called on the 7th and 14th 2 different times 2 different employees same crappy no effort customer service! To think you pay these people? You don't even re train them when this many people alone on this site are complaining the customers buy the products we have a voice and we can all give our business to another appliance company!
Warning don't purchase GE Products unless you want to be stressed
They delivered me a brand new dryer that was broke on arrivals. They switched it out with another "brand new" dryer and 3 months later it is 100% broken. You can hear the outside mechanism moving but the inside part doesn't move.
I called to set up service because I needed an early morning appointment because I work nights and after a 45 minute wait I gave up and scheduled online. I chose and early time and they still called and left a message with a service time of 3pm to 5pm. I have now been on hold for 42 minute's trying to make sure the technicians are not running behind because I will need to reschedule if they are running behind. They try and force you to use a calll back feature which I don't trust when it takes them this long to answer the phone. I am so disappointed in not only the poor quality of this GE dryer but also in the poor customer service they provide. GE use to be a really good product. It was my go to product.
Unless you want to be frustrated all the time I highly recommend you purchase a different brand.
Our house came with a GE Monogram…
Our house came with a GE Monogram dishwasher. It failed and caused $60K damage.
Somehow we decided to replace it with a newer unit so that our appliances matched. That unit took 9 months to arrive. 3 months ago it broke down. The GE technician ordered parts, came back and the parts did not fix the issue so they ordered a new unit to replace it.
The new unit arrived to be installed but the installers noticed it was already damaged, so they ordered another unit to be installed. That just arrived today to be installed and it also was damaged.
Three months, waiting for a company to resolve this issue but they seem to have no quality control and cannot seem to deliver a unit that is free of damage.
I no longer have any respect for GE and what it used to stand for, this company is a joke.
Update: The third unit with "white glove" inspection is also damaged. I am at my wits' end now.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ordered 2 portable air conditioners June 9. Had Walmart call GE to make sure they were in stock. Promised delivery date June 21. June 21 turned into June 24 and now it's June 26 still no air conditioners. Also the price dropped by $70 so $140. Told GE would respond in 24 hours. It's now 48. So the lack of customer service is evident.
Never buy a GE product
Never buy a GE product. Customer service is horrible. Delivery drivers broke items in my home and continued to cancel installation because they didn’t know how to install a secondary ice maker. Had to spend money to fix things they broke and took time off work for installations that never happened. Customer service reps don’t care and say no other company can install the icemaker.
“Backordered” into oblivion
I ordered a stove through Home Depot in January and had an initial delivery date of February for it. GE called me a week before the delivery to let me know the item is on “back order” so the new delivery date would be March. Then we got a call in March that it would be April, then May, then June. Now I just got another call that it’s July. GE always says I have to talk to Home Depot about it if I have any issues with my order yet it’s GE that can’t tell me if they’re ever getting this stove in or not. They are extremely rude on the phone and don’t care that it’s been 7 months and there’s still no sign of a sure date. They just keep giving new dates and refuse to take any type of responsibility. It’s not Home Depots job to provide the item, it’s GE that can’t get their crap together and provide it to Home Depot.
Super rude staff and I’ll NEVER purchase another GE product in my life.
Worst customer service experience ever
Worst customer service experience ever. I have a Cafe fridge installed just over a year ago. The compressor failed and is under a warranty. After 4 calls and endless time I finally had GE agree to send someone out ( a 3rd party ). The first company was a no show. The second company came and fixed -25 hours later the unit was broken again. Compressor failed but never replaced. They tried the relay first. Cannot get anyone on the phone to assist me as it is the weekend and I am going on my THIRD week without a fridge. GE customer advocates do the bare minimum to assist the customer. Complete fraud to sell products they refuse to service correctly.
Scammed by GE repair
I just had a GE repairman (Ed) out to look at my broken washing machine after scheduling through the GE website. He came in for around 1 minute, declared the machine is too old to fix and parts are not available anymore, charged me $144 and left. My question is, given that I had to provide the model and serial number to schedule the service, didn’t he/GE know this before he came out? I’ve been scammed by GE repair.

GE has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The appliance is as bad as the people they have working for them. Tech has blown off 3 appointments to fix my refrigerator. I’ve waited 5 hours each time. Customer advocate could care less. They have no power to help nor will they send you to anyone that can help. They just sit at home taking calls. Complete waste of time. Buy anything else. GE is terrible. Never will I buy another GE product.
Horrendous Hotpoint Dishwasher Experience
I bought a Hotpoint dishwasher but failed to purchase the extended warranty. 13 months later and one month out of factory warranty it died. I paid for a technician to come out who only told me that it needed a new control board which would cost more than I initially paid. What kind of product does a presumable reputable American company sell to us consumers??! I have had a new LG Korean dishwasher installed and will NEVER again put my trust in GE..... No accountability and terrible customer face outward. Shame on you.
