Vile attitude from Customer Service

Everything went wrong! Delivery issues, partial refund and shocking customer service!!!!

My Christmas order was split into three packages. The first parcel had been delivered opened, the second parcel had been taped shut after being opened, and the third was damaged so they said they’d redeliver. I got an email today claiming it had been delivered which it hadn’t, but on the George app it stated some had been cancelled, some returned, some out of stock and some left with a neighbour??? Clear as mud right?? When I queried this with Customer Service I was told they didn’t know why my orders had been cancelled, what was coming and what is being refunded!! The refund is only for a third of what I’ve paid. Her attitude was “you’re getting a refund so what’s your problem!!” I’ve no idea if my kids gifts are on the way or not. No apology at all. Couldn’t understand why I had an issue and why I was calling if I already had all of the information. A horrible service. Will NEVER use them again.

Shocking

If I could give zero stars it would be more accurate. How does such a high profile store think their customer service is fit for purpose? No other means of contact than a phone line where there is a clear language barrier?
Refunds are never correct. Ironically customers can’t cancel, just told not to collect but then the store holds the item.
Antiquated systems and a frustrating customer experience. I’m guessing Asda don’t really care given the negative feedback but no changes on their part.

Ordered 6 items, 5 'lost in transit', if that wasn't bad enough, I've had to chase this for 2 weeks as no one contacted me to say this was the case and rubbing salt in the wound, the 5 items are now out of stock, they were christmas pressies for grandkids 😞disgusting

Very poor

Very poor ! Sent item back through parcel box in Asda store and got a receipt but still No refund, said I have not sent the item back, they won’t refund . Was told on customer line, to hang up as they have a large number of calls from other people . Please buy from else where .

Why on earth did I not check these reviews

Why on earth did I not check these reviews before trusting Asda's online ordering?? I saw a beard trimmer half price, put it in my basket, paid for it. Then noticed they'd deducted the full price. Got in touch with customer services who proceeded to tell me that I must have ordered it before it was on offer. I explained that the ONLY reason I ordered it was because it was half price. They said send it back and buy another at the reduced price. I explained I have mobility issues and don't want to be making extra trips to the store that can be avoided. They said 'you have to give us evidence'. But I'd given them a screenshot of the exact time and date showing the reduced item and my time of purchasing. Just a horrendous experience. I'd planned to order more but I think I'll cut off all ties now. I have a few orders on the go and it's not been good. I got a collection request for an order, clicked on it and it told me I was late to collect but that the order hadn't arrived yet?? What kind of circus play is this? No thanks.

Should be closed down

The incompetence is honestly amazing. I ordered a few household items. The parcel arrived completely opened due to bad tape. Both items inside were damaged due to no packaging. When booking a return they sent me an invalid return label. Then the pick up driver first arrived at the wrong address and then during the second pick up didn’t arrive at all. Most of my order has also been lost. Today I called them about it and got attitude and blatant rudeness and disrespect

Should get 0 they cancelled one of my items a weeks ago and still haven't refunded me back I returned items yesterday. Still waiting on refund they are becoming fraudster like the rest of the companies out here be carefully people and when you call the customer service it's not UK it's out of uk I will no longer be ording on this site there customers service is disgusting big time every thing going down hill needs to employ English people who understand people when they are frustrated and annoyed because you Asda are teething of us and I want all my refund back you Asda needs to be investigated and everyone on here should get there money back and compensation to on top of our refund NO-ONE TO USE ASDA ONLINE SERVICES IF YOU WANT ANY PRODUCTS GO IN THE SHOP AND BY Do NOT BY ANY THINK ON LINE THEY ARE THE Biggest FRAUD EVER THERE STAFF DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER IGNORANT PEOPLE SAVE YOUR STRESS WITH THEM ON THE PHONE AND JUST GO IN THE StORE AND BUY STUFF DONOT BUY ANY THING ONLINE BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT To GIVE PEOPLE MONEY BACK AND YOU SOULD SEE THEY DON'T BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT ANSWER ANYONE ONE THIS WHEN YOU REVIEW ABOUT A COMPANY THE COMPANY WOULD RIGHT BACK TO YOU ON HERE SO YOU KNOW ASDA GEORGE HAS BE COME THE BIGGEST FRUADSTER EVER !!!!!!!!! Honestly

Honestly, this has been ANOTHER shocking appalling experience. I have ordered the same thing again because the first one didn’t turn up and AGAIN the second one hasn’t turned up. Originally ordered in November. Customer service said they would contact Evri and it would take 24-48 hours. I called AGAIN last night (now 7 days). Told I will have to wait ANOTHER 24-48 hours. I told them to resend the order, not even offered a refund. It is the last time I order from George and I hope people read this because this is NOT the first time this has happened.

Asda ripping people off

If anyone wants to buy pan set ( Scoville expert everstick..Buy on line as £30, if you buy in the shop ..They want £70..
So much for Asda looking after there customers!!

Awful

Following on from my previous review. I have requested numerous times for the ongoing issue I am having with this company to be escalated, as I have been treated very unfairly & actually appallingly. I have still not heard from them. I would like to add that I never leave negative reviews & I have left 3 this past week so I don’t know what is going on with these companies but it seems to be the same problem of parcels going missing. The difference between this company and the others though are the George/Asda do not care about their customers, make no effort to assist you & make every effort to make everything as difficult as they possibly can for you, despite the issues being no fault of yours.

Edit:
As I did not hear back from anyone again, I have called George this evening. Thankfully I spoke to someone competent who actually listened to me & resolved the issue in about 5 minutes with the help of her supervisor. I have now reordered the item that I never did receive & hope this time it will actually get to me.

I haven’t added any further stars because to get to this point has been a nightmare & customers shouldn’t have to go to these lengths for the company to do the right thing. It has took around 10 calls with different agents who did not want to help & numerous escalation requests that were never done. If I get an invite to review the individual agent that resolved this for me I will of course be giving her a 5 star review!

I took delivery of a washing machine on…

I took delivery of a washing machine on Sunday that I had paid for installation and recycling. Asda had not notified the delivery company of this so the driver just placed it in the kitchen and advised me to contact Asda. 4days and several calls and messages later and no resolution with the machine blocking access into the kitchen. I’m also currently undergoing cancer treatment and this just hasn’t helped at all! This is unacceptable/nonexistent customer service !!

Order placed on 30/11/25. Confirmed and gave a date of up to 08/12/25. The day came and went, no parcel. Two texts saying sorry but no idea when/if parcel will ever arrive. Text cannot be answered. Checking parcel order reference it is clear that my purchase has been muddled with another person's order. It is difficult to contact George/Asda, I have asked for a full refund- email delivered but not acknowledged. Phone calls are not answered.
I have ordered from other supermarkets and assumed Asda would be similar. How wrong! Interested to know if other would be customers have received a refund in a timely manner.

Absolutely disgraceful service. They are little more than thieves

Absolutely disgraceful service! Do not use. I ordered a toaster and paid on black friday. Was due for delivery on Tuesday 2nd December. Was not available for collection with a message saying it had been delayed. However the toaster was in stock in the Basildon store I was collecting from.
I went to customer services to see if I could cancel my order and buy from the store but I was told it wasn't possible.
More than 10 days after ordering the current status is 'we are waiting for your parcel to arrive at our national depot'. I called Customer Services to see if I could cancel the order and buy from the store. The first time I called them they blatantly lied and said the toaster had been delivered but Basildon Asda had lost it. I asked for email evidence of this and they promised to send but no such email was sent.
The second time I called customer service they disconnected me after 10 minutes if holding.
The net result is that I have no toaster, which was meant to be a Christmas present, they have my money, and will not email or speak to me about it. And then customer service in the store says they can not intervene. Asda are nothing more than theives

P*** Poor Company

Ordered a Tonie box 2 on Black Friday which ended up being “missing” from my order, received the other items but should have been in the same box. Ordered another Tonie box 2 and paid for next day delivery to my home, item still hasn’t arrived and apparently the delivery company tried to deliver it whilst I was home but no evidence to say on my ring doorbell.
Ordered another Tonie item to receive an email tonight saying that they were sorry but the item is out of stock due to them getting the stock levels wrong and a refund has been issued.
Ive heard no end of other issues with this company, and to be quite honest….its a bloody joke!

Am so upset

Am so upset! Never ordering from Asda George again!!!! I ordered a couple of items and choose for the package to be delivered to my house, for some reason they split the packages into two, evri and dpd, evri delivered 3 items for issues however the one by dpd was delivered to a post office without any attempt at delivering it to my house. There two options for me was to either go pick up the package at the location or allow for it to be returned to them and they refund me. How am I supposed to be paying for your mistakes. Why can it not be rerouted to be delivered back to me. Kmt

I would usually give 5 stars as I've been very happy with George up until recently. I am giving one star to get attention as there is nowhere else to go but unfortunately I see that George doesn't respond to reviews on here so probably a waste of time but...
One item in my order cancelled; the item is still showing available in all sizes on the day of cancellation and 8 days later, so no excuse for the system 'catching up'.
One item in my order despatched on the 30th November still not received, I got an email on the 1st December saying it would be delayed which is acceptable at this time of year, but no news since then, any clue what's going on would be nice.
I think you should stop taking online orders till you sort out the problem you're having because I'm not the only one getting items cancelled for no apparent reason and also items delayed beyond a reasonable time.
UPDATE: Rang the call centre and I found out that the delayed item was effectively cancelled which meant that it was never going to arrive so I was given the option of reordering or refund; I chose refund it seemed the best option and I can reorder the item myself at a later date. I also asked for a refund of the p&p which they agreed to; do ask about this if you ring as obviously they owe you the refund of p&p but they won't automatically give it to you.
If you have an item delayed for longer than seven days you must ring or that item will be 'stuck' forever and you will neither receive the item or get an automatic refund if you don't ring.
They didn't say what the problem was with cancelling items that are in stock and delayed items that never get updates but I'm thinking IT problems as always.
The money is now back in my account for the delayed item including p&p but an item that I returned by post at a cost of £3.99 has not been refunded yet so that's another story for another day.
UPDATE: Been 14 days now since I returned an item to George via post office at a cost of £3.99. My George account acknowledges the return but I haven't had a confirmation email about the return and I have checked my bank account today and there has been no refund for the returned item.
UPDATE: More than 20 days since they acknowledged receipt of my return but no refund as yet.
ANOTHER UPDATE: So I rang up asking where my refund was for the item I returned; I had to have proof of return which luckily I kept (royal mail) and take a picture of said proof of sending and attach it to the email address they sent me while on the phone. If you are waiting for a refund you must ring up or you're never going to get that refund and I suggest that you take a picture of your proof of sending before you ring so you've got it ready; it is quite simple to attach the photo to the email address they send you while still on the phone but if you're worried about this I suggest that you get someone who knows about this kind of stuff to do it for you. The person on the helpline was quite efficient in refunding my money but interestingly there was no apology for having to wait for over a month for a refund.
Today, George had a sale, couldn't resist as I need some stuff, took ages choosing stuff in the sale and a couple of things not in the sale, everything all good until payment confirmation, went to bank app to approve payment, checked my balance, all good, big green tick from banking app, back to George and....circle of doom for a bit... then glitch glitch splutter...then back to start of payment process, so I assume it's not gone through! Not trying again just in case as and don't want two lots of everything not arriving, so that's that, they have lost a sale, but as we know they don't care!!

Asda Christmas presents order cancelled on day of delivery-fuming

Order cancelled
So upset today had two air fryers being delivered from ASDA and have just had a cancellation email saying they are out of stock. These were Christmas presents and I am so stressed and upset about this, what poor customer service just phoned the firm and they weren't at all bothered it would take up to seven days for my money to be put back on my card which means I can't even buy new ones today but these are the ones I wanted. The man told me to try different stores. I have, all sold out. Surely Asda take stock of such things. My advice don't bother ordering online at Asda such poor customer care!
Can't understand why they couldn't have given me an alternative????????
