Good engineering, communication could be improved.
In May 2025 I contacted Get It Fixed an.d asked them whether they could fix my Bose Lifestyle 30 series system. They said that they could fix my unit and I sent it to their address in Birmingham. In late September I received the repaired unit. They have fixed most of the faults with the device. I can now play CD’s again. There is a problem that tracks skip when the unit plays for more than around half an hour. I am not complaining about this as most of the problems have been solved and it is a very old unit.
The engineers are very skilled at carrying out the repairs that they say they will. However I found the communication very difficult. Often a phone call or email would not be answered So I have no idea of the status of the job.
This company provides a valuable service but it needs better procedures for communicating with customers.
I sent my KEF subwoofer in after it…
I sent my KEF subwoofer in after it stopped powering on. I was a bit nervous about mailing it, but Get It Fixed made everything super easy with their prepaid label and regular updates. Within a few days, they diagnosed the issue and replaced the damaged parts. When it arrived back, it was packed very well and looked spotless. I plugged it in, and the sound was better than ever deep, clear, and consistent. The whole process took under two weeks. I appreciated their clear communication and the quality of their work. Highly recommend.
Dreadful communication
They received my laptop, then informed me there was a 4-5 week wait for assessment, unless I paid the 'express' charge, which I did.
A few days later (they never answer the phone) they informed me a new part would need to be ordered, and when this was fitted (£130) they could run a diagnostic to see if this fixed the problem!
I could not contact them to speak to an engineer, or anyone, so had them return my unit. I've wasted two weeks and a fair bit of cash and received very poor service.
NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE.
NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE.
Paid for their 'express', service like a fool and about 4 months later got a NON working amp back, with the case not put back together properly and the speaker cable plugs flopping about. They had repaired the original fault but damaged the motherboard. Been in negotiation with them for over 3 months but they either want more money or a refund which means i will have to pay again for the damage they have caused. They even questioned the original fault even tho they tested it AND there was a bleeding great note attrached to the amp saying 'works normally but has a long warm up time'. The note was even in the pictures they sent me originally
SO IF YOU WANT TO WASTE 8 MONTHS OF YOUR LIFE AND LOOSE A LOAD OF MONEY USE THESE PEOPLE.
IF NOT... DON'T EVER USE GET IT FIXED.
90s CD Player skipping
I'm a 90s CD man and bought a 90s tech Cambridge Audio CD player second hand for a pittance and found out on receipt that it was skipping like mad (caveat emptor). Nobody local would take it, so looked into sending it away.
Get It Fixed were quick to offer a reasonable quote, which was not adjusted when I sent it to them. They repaired the skipping issue in the timeframe stated and, on testing, noted an output quality issue due to degraded capacitors and gave a very reasonable (optional) quote to fix this too, which they promptly did.
What can I say? The CD player now delivers smooth crystal clear audio. Can't fault the service.
I would, however, make the following recommendation to the company:
Your Facebook recommends are all from "digital creators", "personal trainers", and people from Birmingham whose profile pictures contain sunglasses and a BMW. It's not an optimistic look for future customers. Just a thought.
Mainboard needed replaced into my jbl…
Mainboard needed replaced into my jbl boombox 2, works normal, still testing the unit reay hard to see if it works fine!!
Shocking service do not use
Company took several months to look at the HiFi unit I sent in then said they couldn’t fix it. Offered to keep unit which I agreed as no good to me broken but then took several months before refunding part payment made and then didn’t refund the return postage that wasn’t used as they kept the unit. Shockingly slow service and bad financial agreement. I paid on time in advance and I’m still waiting for money back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO FIX YOUR EQUIPMENT
AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE OF A COMPANY
I came across this company by chance on the internet while looking to repair my Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I read the positive reviews on their website, but I wasn't smart enough to check their feedback on Trustpilot and Google. Beware: the negative reviews are absolutely accurate.
This is a company that asks for payment upfront, doesn't tell you how long the repair will take, then sends you an email saying that if you want it done quickly, you need to pay an extra £35. And even then, it’s not done quickly.
I waited two months for them to return my phone. After threatening them, they finally sent something back saying, “We’ve temporarily installed an OEM screen.” That is not an OEM screen — that’s a screen straight out of Frankenstein’s lab. It doesn’t work, it’s garbage, and it’s impossible to put a phone case on it because it’s like trying to fit an iPhone screen onto a Huawei body. Completely unfit. The screen is warped and terrible.
In the end, I had to tell the company they could keep the phone. I sent it back. I don’t want it anymore. It’s unusable, pure trash.
I asked for a refund several times, and each time they coming up with a thousand excuses. I had to go through legal channels via MoneyClaim.
I recommend MoneyClaim to everyone. As soon as they received the email from the court, they processed the refund. But I’m not giving up. I want compensation for damages.
Anyone experiencing the exact same problems I had, I recommend going to the UK government’s Money Claim and pursuing them through legal means. Present all your documentation. Do not be intimidated.
If they have deceived and scammed you — because they are nothing but scammers — they make you believe they are great experts, with great staff and sophisticated machines to fix phones, but in my opinion it’s just one, maybe two people.
In my opinion, the website that represents the company is not genuine. They make it seem like they are top experts, with a magnificent, stunning site and many positive reviews, but in my view, those reviews are not real.
Stay a thousand miles away from this company.
Bose wave 3
I sent my Bose wave 3 for repair as they said the fault it had was a common fault with this unit and they could repair it.. I sent it to them in June.. in July I eventually got a reply to several emails..I was asking what was happening.. telling me they are awaiting parts for the repair.. then after 2 weeks.. they email me telling me the unit can’t be completed .. so they took £52 from the £128 I had to pay upfront for the labour and small parts they tell me they have fitted.. I managed to get my refund of £76 back after several emails… after my experience with this company… one word…AVOID!!
Really Pleased With This Company!
Really Pleased With This Company!
I’d written off a pair of headphones but now that I’m trying not to throw things away and have them repaired this company are a great find and in the middle of the funky Jewelery Quarter so if you go there are lots of interesting places whilst you wait!
Absolute Scam
Feels like an absolute scam! Gave me a price for repair of my denon stereo, due to a "common" fault. Misdiagnosed it, charged me for parts, time taken and return delivery. Stereo came back with cosmetic damage. So now I have a stereo that still doesn't work, has been damaged and I'm out of pocket. They don't answer the phone when you try and call either.
Absolutely terrible service, terrible company, would not recommend! If I could give 0 stars I would.
Not a great experience, but it's fixed
Not a great experience, they could improve on their customer service, which is dire, it would be a much better experience if they answered the phone more often. But I gave them 4 stars because they fixed the problem, it took 3+ months, after reading the reviews I knew it wouldn't be a quick turnaround.
DONT USE THESE COWBOYS
DON'T GO NEAR THESE PEOPLE.
About 6 months after sending in my stereo amp for a power supply problem I just got it back. BROKEN and NOT WORKING. The original problem was it had a slow warm uptime but after that it worked fine. I , like a mug paid for their 'express service'. 3 and a half months after I sent it in they replaced the faulty power supply. But it still didn't work because they had damaged the main board.
I complained, they ignored my letters or just plain refused to read my( and their own) original fault report. After 6 months and over £100 spent they sent it back. Not working and not assembled properly. For example the speaker cable plugs push back inside the case so it was near impossible to connect the cables. The whole front panel is loose as well. Oh and DON'T BELIEVE THEIR REVIEWS. They offer discounts if you don't complain. TrustPilot say paying for review is against their policy but that's basically what these cowboys are doing. And 'strangely' just after a bad review you will often find a good review on the same subject. I am happy to provide documents showing all this and a video of the amp they sent back showing how badly it's put together. I am going to ask for a full refund of course but a fat lot that will do. Await my next review tho. USE ANY ONE BUT THIS LOT.
STAY AWAY
⚠️ Warning: Steer Clear of Get It Fixed Phone Repair Service ⚠️
As a professional photographer who relies heavily on my devices, I feel compelled to share my recent nightmare experience with Get It Fixed. What started as a simple screen repair for my LG Velvet turned into a frustrating ordeal that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
Key issues:
• Misleading initial quote
• Excessive delays (6-8 weeks wait time sprung on me after sending the device)
• Lack of transparency about potential additional costs
• Inability to guarantee functionality post-repair
• Attempting to charge a cancellation fee of £46
The company's practices seem designed to trap customers in a cycle of additional charges and uncertainty. When I tried to cancel the repair, they threatened to recycle my phone if I didn't pay their cancellation fee.
My advice to fellow professionals and anyone valuing their time and money: AVOID Get It Fixed at all costs. Your devices and peace of mind are too important to risk with such unreliable service.
Remember, in our industry, our tools are our livelihood. Always research repair services thoroughly and consider manufacturer-approved options for critical repairs.
Very difficult to communicate with
Very difficult to communicate with.
The phone number given was never answered despite trying many many times.
My equipment was not repairable, and it took several reminders to action my refund. Even then they did not refund a charge for return post and packing, despite no return being actioned.
The company might be okay, but lack of communication makes them look dodgy.
Disappointing Repair Experience — Fault Not Fixed, Refund Unfair
I sent my Pioneer LX-704 AV receiver to Get It Fixed for repair after it suddenly lost all sound while I was watching a movie, even though the video remained unaffected. I first contacted Pioneer for repair, but they couldn’t help due to lack of original parts. I then searched online for other options and came across Get It Fixed, which had good reviews.
After their inspection, I was told the unit was repairable at a cost of nearly £600. Since a new replacement would cost over £1000, I decided to proceed.
The initial communication was smooth and prompt via email, which was essential for me as English is not my first language.
In total, the unit was repaired and returned to me twice. Each time, it worked briefly, but within a few days, the same issue reappeared — sound would cut in and out while the video remained normal. I sent them videos documenting the problem, but they were unable to resolve it.
I later requested a refund, but they only offered less than £340, deducting shipping and almost £190 in parts costs. They suggested I send the unit back so they could "retrieve the parts used," but no specific amount or details of what parts would be removed were provided.
Their invoice only listed "Electronics Engineer Services" without a breakdown of costs or details of the fault. I repeatedly asked for an itemised list of parts and costs, but they refused, citing "intellectual property."
I’m still pursuing a refund, but my latest email has gone unanswered for over a month.
I’m sharing this experience to caution others considering Get It Fixed for repairs. If your equipment has significant value and they claim it is repairable, I strongly recommend requesting a detailed cost breakdown and an explanation of the fault before agreeing to proceed.
Update: The company has since processed a partial refund, which I appreciate. However, my comments above reflect the full experience leading up to that point.
DON'T ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY!
Steer well clear of this company. They'll lead you up the garden path at the same time as relieving you of your cash. I feel like I've been scammed! Don't be fooled by this companies' web site. Although it looks good and gives the impression of an professional operation - they're far from that. They don't answer their phone and they regularly ignore emails. They quoted me £120 in Jan 2025 to repair my Ruark sound system. Like a fool I agreed and paid the money upfront and sent the system off to them for repair. It came back to me in April with exactly the same fault as when I initially contacted them back in January. It was sent back to them under repair warranty but alas it's now back with me again (as of June) and it's got the exact same fault as before - the unit won't accept commands from the remote controller. They're now saying it's my remote controller that's at fault and I need to further fork out for a new one. I've got a family member with the exact same system as mine and we've swapped remotes. His system works perfectly with both remotes whereas mine will not work with either! So the fault is clearly not with the remote controller. I'm now wondering if they even attempted any repairs in the first place. After finally getting a reply to my numerous phone calls and emails they've now offered me a refund of £31.11 from my initial payment of £120. It's a rip-off! Don't believe any of the five star reviews for this company. I'm sure they're not genuine - and anyone who reads them will see that. I only wish I had before I was sucked in! I've researched this company on 'Companies House' website (it's free to all to do so) and over the last two years the company had only 4 employees including one director - who is a Romanian national. Not what I had envisaged the company to be considering their most impressive web site. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND AVOID THIS ORGANISATION AT ALL COSTS.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE, SCAM COMPANY! First of all they use fake reviews. Literally a new review everyone other hour. I sent my speaker in for repair which took them over 8 weeks to finally get back to me only to tell me they couldn’t repair it and I would only get refunded £50 when I paid £120 in total! I then eventually received a refund 3 WEEKS later of £40 so didn’t get my full refund. When I tried to ask them about this they said to call them tomorrow as they’re closing. WORST COMPANY, DO NOT USE!
AVOID!
AVOID!
I sent them a faulty amp. It took 3 months, instead of the quoted 6 weeks, to be returned. It still wasn't working, when I got it back. It seems that they didn't even test it. My calls and emails went mostly unanswered. I eventually managed to get responses and an agreement to return it under warranty. This then took another 2 months. Then, I was told it wasn't repairable, with no further explanation. I asked for a refund but only got part of it, which took months as well.
Now I'm stuck with a butchered amp and minus funds.
I get the impression that the positive reviews, for this company, are fake.
