We’re sorry to hear about what happened, but this is exactly the type of situation we warn customers about and cannot accept responsibility for.
Gift Off does not allow gift cards to be used as payment for goods or services between individuals. Our payment verification email specifically warns customers that if someone is asking them to pay for goods or services with a gift card, they may be being targeted by fraudulent activity. We give customers the opportunity to contact us before proceeding if they have any concerns.
In this case, the gift card was redeemed, meaning we cannot reverse the redemption or refund the purchase. Unfortunately, once a customer chooses to use a gift card in this way despite the warning provided, the resulting transaction is outside our control.
We understand your suggestion, but Gift Off cannot guarantee or police private transactions between customers and third parties. The appropriate protection is not to use gift cards as payment for goods or services in the first place.

I bought my gift card on 29th May and…
I bought my gift card on 29th May and have still not received the gift card itself by 2nd June, communication from the company as to what is going on and why is very poor and the process is just taking far too long.
I emailed the day after I purchased, on 30th May, asking to reset my password to check on any updates and had no reply to that request whatsoever so I can’t get into my account itself.
They asked for a number from my bank card transaction on 31st May which is the only email I have had that wasn’t the usual, thanks for your order. I replied the same day but another two days later I still have not heard anything further.
If they have normal business hours and won’t communicate outside of them, this should be clear on their website but given I received an email on Sunday afternoon UK time it’s not clear when they will and won’t be responding.
I’m giving two stars in the hope the card will arrive eventually but the process itself has just not been worth the stress.

We’re sorry this has been frustrating, but we do want to clarify what happened. Your order was held temporarily while we completed our standard payment verification, which is why we asked for the four-digit code from your bank statement. You replied on 31 May, and we then needed to complete the verification before releasing the gift card.
We’re also sorry that you didn’t receive a response to your password reset request. That should have been handled more promptly.
We understand that waiting for a gift card isn’t ideal, but the additional verification is there to protect customers and prevent fraudulent transactions. We appreciate your patience while this was being resolved.

Found this site quite hard work to buy for someone in Australia. Payment wasn’t straightforward also only got some points not all points that were suggested when buying. Customer service were quite good at responding to issues though.

Regarding the points, JB Hi-Fi isn’t a points-eligible brand, which is why you received a lower total than you were expecting. We display this on each brand’s page before a purchase can be made, but we’ll review how to make that information clearer.

*Scammed* No gift card
I ordered a Deliveroo voucher to give to my daughter so she could order food without needing access to my account. However, I never received the gift card. I contacted the support team and was asked to provide a 4-digit code from my bank statement. Since then, I've heard nothing back—no response, no follow-up, and still no gift card. I'll now be following up with my bank. Honestly, I’d recommend avoiding this service. It’s neither fast nor supportive, and just not worth the hassle.

We take accusations like “scammed” very seriously, and in this case the claim is simply untrue. Your order was processed less than 40 minutes after you provided the four-digit code, and the Deliveroo gift card was delivered to your email at 11:42am. It has since been accessed and redeemed.
Our support team also followed up with you but received no reply. While we understand the process may have felt inconvenient, it’s not accurate to state that no gift card was received or that support was lacking.

I was very wary about using this…
I was very wary about using this company, all seemed to easy ! After reading the reviews I thought ok I’ll give it a try , it was the ideal way to send a gift to family abroad .
Well it was and it worked like a dream . e-voucher was delivered with 10/15 mins .
Entire process was painless and my son was delighted with his gift.
Won’t hesitate to use them again .
