Outstanding Customer Service
In a world where true customer service is so lacking, I cannot say enough about the outstanding service Steban has provided on behalf of Goal Zero. I felt he was patiently and kindly holding my hand through each step of the repair process. I never felt alone. He went above and beyond not to make me feel stupid when I would repeatedly ask stupid questions. Other companies could certainly learn a lot from my experience with Steban and Goal Zero. Thank you, Steban, for being there for me.
My briefcase 200 watt solar panel is defective.
My briefcase 200 watt solar panel developed a quarter sized burn (shore circuit) on it. To their credit Goal ZERO replaced my first solar panel after warranty, However the second one now has created another melt that has reduced my 200 watt panel to only produce 21 watts of power. My very old Boulder 30 panels provide much more chagrining capability.

Nous avons acheté une batterie Goal Zero Yeti 3000X sur Galaxus en Suisse pour un montant de 2000 CHF. Celle-ci est tombée en panne une semaine seulement après l’expiration de la garantie de deux ans. Galaxus indique ne rien pouvoir faire et ne propose aucune réparation, même payante, alors même qu’une prise en charge gratuite était encore possible une semaine avant la panne.
Par ailleurs, Galaxus n’est pas en mesure d’indiquer un service client en Suisse et renvoie au constructeur. De son côté, le constructeur Goal Zero renvoie vers le détaillant. Cette situation de renvoi mutuel est inacceptable. Après insistance, le service Goal Zero me propose de la renvoyer à Bergen op Zoom aux Pays bas. Pour une génératrice de plus de 30 kilos cela n'est guère envisageable depuis la Suisse.
En l’état, le service fourni n’est pas à la hauteur des bénéfices réalisés grâce à la vente de ces produits, d’autant plus que la fiabilité de ce modèle pose question.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Steban and Andrew for their outstanding support. It is rare to find customer service that matches the high quality of the products themselves, but these two delivered exactly that.
They were incredibly quick at problem-solving and handled my situation with efficiency and professionalism. Having a great product is one thing, but knowing the team stands behind it with this level of care makes the entire experience so much better.

incredibly good customer service
I recently bought what to me was a lot of Goal Zero products, none of which I knew how to operate or support. I corresponded with Michael at length, asking many questions I'm sure most people would have considered 'ignorant,' to put it generously. He always answered them completely, in everyday language I could easily understand, and with perfect patience, compassion, and grace. He easily ranks in my book as the best customer service representative I have ever encountered. Many many kudos to Goal Zero for enabling and supporting such superb customer service, and him. I will be a fan for life.
Goal Zero Lighthouse 250 is defective
Goal Zero Lighthouse 250 is defective. Product continues to stay on in the off position. This is my second light that has had this issue. My 1st light was replaced as manufacturer defective equipment. My 2nd light was not replaced after documentation showing the issue. Customer support was quick to point out that it was not their issue due to exceeding manufacturer warranty, even though defective equipment! Buyer beware that Goal Zero is no longer worth the packaging it is shipped in!

I just wanted to take a second out of my day and say thank you very much for a wonderful experience with your company. This is my second battery and equipment I have gotten from you and I’m very much looking forward to using it. The first one I've been using has been absolutely bullet proof. In fact, there is nothing wrong with the first one, maybe it doesn’t hold a charge as long as it did in the beginning, but that seriously could all be in my head. The reason I have upgraded is because I don’t ever like to get to the point where nothing works and I’m stranded and now I’m scrambling to try and improvise. Not for me. So, I always find it wise to be a little proactive, it helps in the long run.
The main point of why I’m writing this review is to hopefully get the attention of Michael Selin’s superiors. I have no idea how your business is structured, but I spent many, many, years in the corporate world so I might have a pretty good idea. We live in a very thankless world at present and I certainly hope someone will recognize this review and go tell Micheal Selin that he’s doing a great job! In fact, go get him a gift card and buy him dinner, he deserves it. I’m very finicky and particular and he answered all my questions with profound accuracy. If he didn’t know the answer to a question, he told me so and proceeded to find the answer, which I thought was great because he stuck to it and didn’t quit. You really should be proud of him.
Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there and hopefully someone will give him a good pat on the back.

I was probably a pain, and they were still so helpful!
About 6 months into owning my yeti500, something happened to the electricity while it was charging and fried it. I hadn’t registered for the warranty yet so I was nervous I had missed a deadline or something and it wasn’t going to be covered by the warranty. It was, and customer service was sooooo helpful! Then, I got caught up in life and waited 5 months before starting the process to send it back and the pre paid shipping label expired. So now poor customer service is having to deal with my situation again. Vivian got the FedEx pick up scheduled for me and everything, she really was so amazing during the whole process. My new yeti is on the way and I’m so excited! 10/10 will always be using them and will always recommend!

Review for a Yeti 300. Great build, very nice app and integration. Stable. Rugged enough to use outdoors. After about 6 months, my Yeti died, most likely a lemon, which happens. I did some troubleshooting and took notes as I was doing it, sent my notes to customer support, they asked me to check just one more thing and they then offered RMA. No back and forth, no pushback. They also gave me detailed instructions on how to ship back my defective Yeti 300 and sent me a special box with shipping label.
Absolutely excellent support and they stood by the warranty. I will do business with Yeti again in the future.
Michael restored my confidence in Goal Zero
Michael helped restore my confidence in Goal Zero. When the Yeti Pro 8000 LiFePo power bank (and its replacement) developed error messages and could not connect to the cloud for firmware updates, Michael consistently and transparently provided regular updates and steadfastly helped me exhaust my repair options. He was accessible, professional, responsive, and an effective communicator who created and achieved solutions to previously unsolvable challenges. Goal Zero ultimately provided a full refund and I am once again hopeful for its future products to reflect the functional culture, dedication, and integrity embodied in its team.
Issue resolved!
I bought a 1500x from Goal Zero as I wanted to make sure I had back up power for when power outages happened.
After a time my Yeti stopped taking a charge. I was able to get ahold of customer service who replaced the unit for me and got me up and running again.
So pleased to do business with a company that stands behind their product. Could not be more pleased.

I had a unit that failed and they were able to get it replaced with me. I am so happy for positive experiences with companies that stand behind their products.
Constant beeping
I bought a Yeti 150 years ago and I was good about charging it and discharging it. I stopped doing that and the battery was no longer able to hold a charge. As long as it was plugged in there wasn’t any beeping. Once I unplugged it, then it would beep. I put it in the garage because I figured it would beep for a few hours or less, then turn off. It has been over 12 hours and it is still beeping. Not only do they make it beep for hours, but about every 6 seconds. When it is quiet in my house I am able to hear the beeping every six seconds. I will never buy any Goal Zero stuff again.

It is around 6am CST and it is still beeping. Over 24 hours and it is still beeping. I bet if they were to make the battery beep less, then it still would probably be working. It is extremely annoying. I put it in the garage and covered it to help muffle the sound, which helped, but I hear it when I am in the kitchen and if it is very quiet in my room.

I have been speaking with Maurice from Goal Zero and he has told me how I can replace the battery. I have ordered a new battery and will install it, so I will at least be able to use it again.

Have always loved the GoalZero products (use them every day), and the warranty is a huge part of that. I had a warranty replacement that had complex details and a lot to manage.
