Sent off a picture of my driving license to be validated over 3 months ago, still no response.

Waiting for upload of driving license for van that I see in Killarney is dinted anyway . If I can't even sign up forget about it.

Could not get access to the car @ 7am electronic problem. Had to wait until 8.15am for the help desk to open. A van was booked for me in another location. Travelled there collection of van @ 9.15am then Travelled to my original starting point. Lost 4 hours work. Customers disappointed & now we have to try & make alternative arrangements with them.

Rated 1 because you can't rate 0, iv used gocar a number of times without any issue, I hired a gocar from a Dundalk location after breaking down in my own car on the 12th of December from 230pm to 830pm, I dropped it back to the same spot as I picked it up as per instructions, it was 830pm which is outside pre pay parking hours, a few weeks later I received a parking ticket that was issued on the 13th of Dec at 1535pm, yes I was the last to have the car but how can anyone predict how long before the next customer is due, id love to know if many others have had this issue? To say I'm fuming is an understatement, iv been onto a solicitor and I will take this as far as I have to

Terrible customer service. Applied 15 days ago, uploaded 6 times selfie with driving licence. Phone calls where no one is willing to help you. I am still not approved without knowing why. Now I don t need the car anymore. Not recommanded. Avoid them

If you want the worst customer relations experience you are ever likely to have. GoCar is for you. They make Ryanair look like the gold standard. Don’t believe the BS about 24/48 hour approval for your license. Mine was finally approved after 35 days. So if you want to book a car next summer, start now!

Rubbish - impossible to complete profile due to moronic selfie requests. Uploaded approx 7 selfies (everything readable) - they still rejected it. Uploaded Irish Driving license - they ask for copy of IDP, for real ? For comparison, It was way easier to open an online bank account and get an Indian visa

After reading these reviews I now understand why!! Think I'll be leaving it at that... Hertz it is so...

Had previously booked a car last year and everything went perfectly. This time however i wasn't so lucky! When i went to collect the car i noticed that the spare tyre was on the car, endless time on hold i finally got through to customer service representative who wasn't much help to be honest not really through her own fault. I could take the car to a garage who would change the tyre but when i called that garage to see if they could do it the phone rang out. Alternatively she could call the AA but actually they would only replace the spare tyre with.......................another spare tyre!
So spare on the car meant i was unable to drive on the motorway for the 48 hours i had booked the car for i was really unable to utilize it like i had booked it for.
Numerous emails sent since voicing my dis-satisfaction but no response. Compensation of Euro 25 credited to my Go Car account which actually is an insult and i wasn't really able to use the car while i had it.
Shame really as when it works well it is a great service at a good rate, not sure however i would take that risk again going forward!

Not trustable the cars at all.Every third time the rent is not happening because some issue with the car.The customer service not offering anything for the inconvenience or not offer find another car...really bad experience.

Help when they are in the wrong steer clear. Went to collect car left stranded with a taxi back to our hotel really need to take a look at their model.

Getting verified was a nightmare. Kept getting the same reply to upload as selfie with my license. Kept doing this, after three times I emailed to find out what the exact issue was. No reply after 3 days. Rang and was told I need to upload a selfie. Absolutely useless support. After 20 minutes finally got it sorted.

Booked a cargo. Looks like someone had a hammer to it. Dented panels all over, reversing sensors hanging out of the rear bumper. So dirty inside and out that I had to wipe the window inside to see clearly out.

How many drivers were changed!!! Countless. By jove. Very bad experience today. Sigh.

I rented a vehicle last month. The fuel card was missing,so I paid with my own money.Try to get refund,but never get response from them again. I don't understand who standing behind this cowboys.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER. I have been have been fighting with them for months. They took €30 off my bank account with "service charge" after phoning a couple times they told me it was for a parking ticket. They were unable to provide me this ticket untill weeks after. I returned the car to the designated parking spot. The following day the car received a parking ticket due to GoCar not paying for the a valid parking tag. As the next customer hadn't taken the car yet I was responsible for this fine. I have called and called and no one gets back to me. They have stollen my money and I have had to pay for a ticket as the traffic department says it is up the driver of the rental car to make sure the parking tag has been paid. Watch out for this

Have been with Go cars for years now and still are. I have bad credit yet they still helped me with finance for a vehicle.

A terrible let down. Booked a Cargo van today in Malahide Bridgefield for 11:15. The door wouldn’t unlock and when I got through to customer service she tried rebooking and unlocking her end. Nothing worked. I was on the phone for over 30mins to be told that something was faulty and there were no other Cargo’s available.
Therefore, I couldn't get what I needed to be done and had to let down two other people waiting on me who were to help me moving items.
On top of this my account appears to have been deleted as my account has disappeared. Very odd but just as well as I would never use them again.

AVOID AT ANY COST!

I rented a vechicle on the last day on June.
The fuel card didn't work, of course...
So I paid with my own card as they promised a fuel refund.

THREE and a HALF MONTHS since (it's mid-October now) and STILL NO REFUND!!!

Tens of hours of waiting for "customer service" to answer the phone.
Many hours over the phone or by email trying to convince them to pay.

No result, just empty promises.
They even blaim my bank for the refund never happened.

I sent the last email today before sending my solicitor and report them to Gardai and the Revenue.

I used GoCar for the first time for 2 days of trips around Galway. There were 6 of us, so we rented 2 cars.
With one car, nothing went wrong, the car was in great condition - though a little dirty inside - and there were no problems at all, from beginning to end.
The other car had the engine "locked" for some reason so it wouldn't start until we called customer support (the issue was solved on the spot). When it came to locking it, it appeared locked on the app but not in reality. Solved with a call.
The app is a bit fidgety and even though all 6 of us signed up, only 1 got their licence approved and the 5 others had to call in order to get it (this was 2 weeks after the submission - they say it usually takes 48h). Again, nothing that couldn't be solved with a call.
It is not the smoothest experience, compared to similar service, but thankfully nothing like the one described in these other reviews.
I would definitely use this service again.
