There was two different refund policies at two different sections of the website. I was expecting one formula to be used. (Old version) They were wanting to use the other (New version). Once we established the two policy issue which will now be corrected, they looked after me by allowing the use of the older version and organised the agreed refund which was good customer service

Just returned from Sheffield playing lindrick , hallamshire and Worksop. Had a great time with the event being very well organised. The staff at all the golf clubs very helpful. The registration on each day was hosted by Claire.. I have to say she did an excellent job.

Have been coming, and bringing a good size group, to GP events for a few years now and will certainly be doing so again. The Sheffield three dayer was a superb event this year. Three terrific courses (I would happily play Hallamshire in particular for the rest of my golfing days) and remarkable value. Bring on 2026 - and hopefully the same weather!

Great! I booked Sheringham in July with my son, I had to change it due to an operation and they helped me through the process. There are no Ai responses there, just helpful people!

Had booked for an event which I was then unable to attended. Event I had booked on had a waiting list so my place could easily be replaced.

I asked to move to a event which was of a lesser value than my deposit was given a range of excuses from VAT complications to System issues.

Only option I was given to spend more at another event to save my deposit, didn't allow me to respond and just cancelled my place which I expect was filled from the waiting list.

Think carefully before you book as there is not flexibility from Golf Pairs.

Strange the GP only reply to certain reviews, at least they didn't shout at me like the did in a review below.

There are many inaccuracies within their response. The most striking being their suggestion they allowed three additional days, this is simply not true. We was in email dialogue (the reasons there was so many is that GP phone number doesn't work and the employee I was talking to doesn't have a company mobile) then I was told my place was cancelled.

I never asked for the T&C to be changed once, simply just to find a workable solution to the issue that I had.

I was tempted to book a singles event at Forest Pines golf club and tried to use a voucher code for a £10 discount off my first booking with the company. However the code was not accepted and was told by Hannah that the codes only apply to a booking including 2 people which hardly seems logical when booking a singles event! I have quickly learnt that the lack of proper communication with this company is non existent and quite frankly the whole thing is poorly organised, poorly explained and generally unreliable so I won't be booking any events with them. I read one review which explained that any vouchers won in the competitions can only be redeemed with an other booking and then there are difficulties in actually doing this. the organisation is a joke and should be avoided.

Very well organised tour in koh Samui, everything was done for us.

We have regularly entered these events over the last few years but we will not be doing so again. If you’re lucky enough to win something you win vouchers which are non monetary and only redeemable against future Mizuno Pairs events. However when you try to redeem code into a new booking it only allows you to use one voucher code. We contacted Mizuno Pairs several times via email ( as they don’t provide a contact number) but they never respond, as we had a number of vouchers we wanted to use. Eventually after numerous attempts to contact them by email they stated that we must contact them by phone before making a booking. They refused to apply our vouchers to the booking we made and stated that if we wished to redeem them for this event we had to cancel this booking thereby losing our £50 per head deposit and rebook with them over the phone but they refused to provide a phone number! There’s no cooling off period either so once you’ve paid a deposit that’s it your money is lost!! Dreadful customer service …. possibly the worst I’ve come across!!

I’ve booked several of these and they’ve been great. Accessing hard to access clubs at or around best case visitor rate. Not sure prizes are that important as they will always be won by strange handicappers!!! There are plenty of bandits in my experience 😉 Hannah in the office is a superstar who can sort out stuff when I regularly mess up.

I guess they are a way of playing courses that you might otherwise not get on............if you are willing to pay the price....but as others have written you pay your money, turn up register to someone who is sat with a laptop ...you are given a card...you play and return the card and that is it. An open run by a club is far more appealing experience, probably better value, you can get food included and there is far more engagement from the club.....But the biggest complaint that I have concerns the 'prize money'.. which is not clearly explained in their T's & C's .....we never expected to win anything from the event we entered, but we did!!....we got an email to say we had won £200....which can only be spent against a future Mizuno event. So it's not prize money.....it's a loan of Mizuno's own money, so not content with charging you to enter the event they then ensure that don't make a loss by keeping all of the winnings. Great business.....but this is not explained in their terms. All we wanted was a voucher each to exchange in our Pro Shop (which other organisers can do) When I emailed them they did say we could use the voucher with Mizuno direct, but there would have to be a £100 min purchase due to their delivery rules!! Forget that then. I guess we will only ever play one more of these events (with our voucher) and then boycott them and stick to club opens instead.

Would not recommend these comps. Club golf comps are far better value for money and far better organised. Admin after registration on line was hopeless: countless emails saying payment not made when it had, telephone numbers listed on site not working, ‘portal’ hiccups. ‘c£2000 Prizes’ are vouchers for attending Golf Pairs’ own events (not explained in advance publicity on Instagram and website). At event better organisation but language of some competitors outside clubhouse was offensive and disrespectful of their hosts and fellow competitors including women. Welcome staff (free lance) were efficient, reassuring and helpful. Club’s Starter friendly and welcoming. But overall, I’ll stick to Club Comps via Golf Empire in future.
Thank Golf Pairs for replying but offensive language had nothing to do with my rating. Overall admin was the problem, but am glad that you are addressing some of the problems. We shouldn’t need to read through terms and conditions to know the actual prizes. I’ve now put it behind me and we’re into the new year. I’m surprised it took so long to reply to my review though. I notice too that there are no term and conditions re prizes before you go to pay. Surely that info should be openly available beforehand? ‘£1000s of prizes’ is misleading.

According to one of the replies from Mizuno pairs to a review in 2022 the monitory value of prises won can be combined and used for future events, and they never run out.
I would have to disagree with that as recently I contacted mizuno pairs about some vouchers me and a friend won at plye and kenfig in 2022, their reply to me was the vouchers only last for a year. Eventually they said on two separate occasions we will e mail your vouchers by the end of the day, both times nothing arrived in our e mails. So I've given up with them.
They probably are right in saying they never run out, but if you don't even get them they're worth nothing anyway

Great event, well run and friendly staff throughout! Vouchers are a great prize it allows us to play more events and some incredible golf courses I may not be able to get to play normally.

Great couple of days on the south coast playing Stoneham & Hayling.
We got washed out unfortunately first day but Hayling was superb.
Most of our group due to the weather only got to play the front nine at Stoneham but the guys have got us rain check vouchers to come back within the year which is fantastic. The running of the events are seamless and are a great day out … highly recommend

Have played in a lot of their events over the last few years. I've enjoyed them all, particularly the multi day events, which are an easy way to put a "tour" together for a group. I've played some great courses for a reasonable price. Just in Woodhall Spa at the moment and recently played St Mellion - both on my bucket list.

I played in an event in Royal Porthcawl in 2023. The price of this event was around £160 per person which we understood as Porthcawl is a fantastic course and venue. However I just wanted to give golfers my views on how the day was organised. When we turned up we were told we had to have a 3 course meal before we played as the kitchen would be closed when we finished.

Next we went to get our cards and the organiser asked us to enter the comps for the day including 2s sweep and Nearest to the pin etc. The cost was £20 per golfer and when I asked what the prizes would be I was told it can be used on credit for balls or accessories. I had a 2 on the day and received £33 credit but was then told this could only be used as credit for another event. Which is hard to arrange due to work commitments. This year I tried to use the link and this link would not work and I have received an email saying I can use it on another event,

Just seems to me that this event doesn’t want to pay out for prizes but happy to take your money and lie to you during the events.
