If you get a 30% or even 50% discount, then it could be worth it. Otherwise, you’re probably better off buying a good, comprehensive Go book.

What I don’t like is the lack of deep explanations. The puzzles, for example, usually come with only a one-line explanation, example : 'black to play' or 'try again'.., with very little explanation. You can’t even save the one you want to come back later and try to understand them properly by YOURSELF (yeah no one will help you understand). Basically, it’s the kind of puzzle you can already find for free on Go puzzle websites.

The courses are well filmed, but the content often feels too shallow. For example, a Tesuji course including in the main course that lasts only 12 minutes is not enough to really teach the subject properly — unless, of course, you pay for the $60 “super premium gold whatever” videos for rich people (for that price i have 2 very good books that talk about ALL topics deeply and that i have FOREVER)

So, as I said, the value for money is good if you have a discount. Otherwise, not really.

This platform is an awesome way to learn to play Go. The concepts are communicated in a clear, easy-to-understand way and the interactive quizzes help drive home the important ideas. A ton of beginner stuff is available for free, and if you find yourself wanting more, there is a lot of paid content to keep you going into higher eschelons.

Go Magic was the best educational Go platform I found. The courses are extremely informative and very helpful. They helped me understand numerous things that confused me when I started Go. I would recommend Go Magic to anyone.
While the quality of the courses is amazing, I find that the pricing is a bit too high, but I understand that Go Magic’s targeted audience is small.
