This is not the most direct way to improve at Go. They do relate information as part of a package of comfort and culture, and this package with other parts is generally very well done. I selected one of the hardest courses and stalled in digesting it for lack of Go fix and perhaps having already read the book discussed. On the other end of the spectrum, I have some doubt about the pedagogy for beginners. Emphatically Go Magic should be very welcome to promote the game, but I personally am unlikely to make any sizable purchase or any more of an endorsement in the future, having witnessed the rollout, investment pitch, and seasoned version.

I really like the website. I have the “Magic” subscription and have been visiting the platform at least briefly every day for over a year. The courses help me a lot. I particularly like Vadim's style. The prices are very high, but if you look for special offers , you can reduce the cost somewhat. Without the special offers, I wouldn't sign up for the highest subscription.

All in all, I highly recommend the website. However, I can't say whether this also applies to stronger players (DAN level and low kyu level).

So why am I giving it 4 stars and not 5? The skill tree is also very important to me. However, it doesn't seem to be being developed any further. The website says "Every day we're creating new quizzes and skills for you," but the number of problems has remained at 4249 for months. Perhaps there have been changes to the very difficult problems that I haven't done yet, but it doesn't look like it. I would like to see new problems for all levels, and it should also be made clear where there are new problems to solve.
And then, for many of the tasks, I would like to see a little more explanation of why a move is incorrect (and not just “that doesn't seem correct”). I know that this is time-consuming and you could ask the community, but I would like to know immediately why something is wrong. Well, that's why 4 stars instead of 5.

Nevertheless, I fully recommend the site.

Pietro is an amazing person that keeps the Discord server running, the league and also the tournament we had recently. Things didn't turn out very well because of a bug in OGS, but he promptly communicated a fair change in the rewards and fixed both bugs I reported incredibly fast. The website content is awesome too.

I haven't been playing Go for a long time, but I think it's the best option to learn if you don't have anyone to teach you, even if you have it, it's a great complement.

The classes and quizzes are super helpful and fun. It scratches that same kind of itch as Duolingo, and I love learning by doing.

I emailed about a refund over a week ago and haven’t heard back nor received a refund. The purchase was accidental because I couldn’t find the spot to input a coupon code.

EDIT: They got back to me and despite some initial confusion, they were extremely helpful and friendly regarding the refund and gave additional compensation for the inconvenience.

Well the easy explanations and the light environment and the jokes inbetween really kept me hooked.
Plus the puzzles really helped out to understand the topic easily I can say that go magic has helped me improve my game a lot. Happy 6th anniversary go magic , may you continue you service to the Go world.

Its the perfect tool for those who want to learn go, and a structured platform for any level of play, it facilitates the enjoiment of the passion of go and it brought me back to the game after years without playing .

Amazing course. Perfect difficulty progression, and so well explained. At least for a total beginner, I went through so many open courses and books, but nothing compares to this platform. Thank you very much!

Smooth and fun! Some problems need better explanations.

The best part of GoMagic are the lessons by Vadim Efimenko. These are the main reason for me to take a subscription. I wished my teachers at school were like him!
The other teachers are at most acceptable or just bad. The exercises are okay, but there are enough free sites for them available.

Concrete examples on how to deal with weak groups. Could have been better if more directed exercises were provided.

Great instructor … lessons with explanations are perfect … great job GO magic for making this great Game accessible to those unfamiliar. I am a chess player and think both game training compliments each other. Learning GO has helped my chess visualization but am quickly realizing the depth and challenge of GO

Engaging lecturers and interesting exercises really promote learning. I might re-take many of the courses.

It is a great platform to learn either for free or subscribing depending on the level of one's experience aswell as ambition.
