I recommend Gordon Brown Law firm
We have just sold our house, and Gordon Brown Law was our law firm. Everything went smoothly and clearly. We also appreciate our solicitor, Shafa, who has been great throughout the whole process from start to completion. She met all deadlines, pushed the buyer’s solicitors when there were delays on their side, and answered our questions quickly and clearly. In other words, she was great, helpful, and very professional.
I’d recommend Gordon Brown Law if you’re selling your house.

The Emily Knill Experience
Me and my partner were buying our first home, after doing my due diligence and researching solicitors who specialise in buying/selling property I came across Gordon Brown Law on trustpilot (rated number 1 at the time) and I saw so many great reviews it was difficult to choose another firm. I saw many reviews mention the name Emily Knill and when she was appointed as our solicitor there was only one thing left to do, put my feet up and wait for the good news, great solicitors with excellent communication. I'm excited to be in my new home and the process was very very smooth. Will use again if required.

Two experts working hard at Gordon Brown
Two experts working hard at Gordon Brown (Sara and Casey) on my sale.
While my buyers buyer (three homes in our chain) were an absolute disgrace, forcing five date changes and leaving me stuck, my buyers needing to rent a flat and their client, the first time buyer completely homeless for two weeks having had to leave her rental on the agreed date.
Thanks Sara and Casey for keeping the whole thing on the tracks. Formal action is going to be taken against the other firms in this shockingly lazy example of how not to deliver to the professional standards seen from you.

Problems I encountered
I felt that there was a lack of communication, and delays that were completely avoidable. I feel there was a lack of transparency and honesty about why the delays were happening, and did not feel there was any expediency for putting things right

Great value and professionalism
We were nervous going into the conveyancing process as our last experience (with a different online firm) had been a nightmare. Fortunately the team at Gordon Brown Law were the complete opposite; they were incredibly communicative and professional and made the selling process easy throughout. Any issues were sorted out quickly and effectively. The quoted price was great value compared to other solicitors we had enquired with and any extra costs were clearly communicated up front. Unlike some other firms we spoke to, they had no issues with conveyancing a leasehold property and handled communication with the freeholders and management company very quickly. Our solicitor, Shafa, was very responsive and replied to all our queries within a matter of hours. She was very knowledgeable about the whole process and handled complex issues with ease! We would definitely recommend Gordon Brown Law for their great value and excellent service.

The staff were very helpful
The staff were very helpful. They answered any queries I had even when my solicitor was not available to speak to.
However, I do feel the process was longer than necessary but will also take into consideration outside organizations were involved.

Selling of my property
Throughout selling my property we had a few ups and downs in getting this over the line but Cailtin throughout was professional and reassured me all the was.

Kate was excellent, really helpful and eased the stress of two first time buyers. The time and effort to produce a quick turnaround for us was amazing. Can't fault Kate's responsiveness, and explanations whenever we asked a question.
