I’ve sent submissions to TAG through GWT regularly over the last 6 months. The communication from them has been faultless every time and any issues I’ve raised with them has been quickly sorted.
I used GWT for my first ever grading submissions and other companies I’ve used since then have not met the same standard.
I’ll continue to trust grade with tag with my most treasured cards.

I said they were lenient with regards to centering.
I also said that the card was more damaged than when with ACE in the top right hand corner which is clearly something you or TAG have done. Still not owning the mistake!
And ACE would’ve picked up the roller mark should that have been the case but lies aren’t befitting; the dig reports states crease/dent.
You have not issued a ‘gesture of goodwill’! I have provided you with evidence of this and still your shoddy reply tried poorly to detach you of this blame. It does not; hence in part, my reply.
Now before you edit your post please read accurately and do not try to misconstrue my words or others opinions of my accurate review again. It’s going to make you look rather foolish.
Now as I say you have my email so send the refund. You have until the 5 business days I’ve mentioned in my email to you! I will as suggested in my emails take this through the small claims court if necessary.
Original review: Genuinely really poor service and experience.
So I’ve graded with PSA, ACE, CGC & MGC before and thought I’d give TAG a go back in late December with the Kingdra Promo.
I’d already sent it off to ACE and it came back an 8. I was shocked.
Whilst I didn’t expect a 10 I genuinely believed it would 9. I’d have been happy with that.
Ironically like their Nidoking post on social media I thought why not……..sure there was some minor whitening to one corner but nothing of considerable note.
However, mine was the opposite experience. Definitely not like their Nidoking post.
I would’ve been happy with another 8 but expected an upgrade to 8.5-9.
After months of waiting with very little in terms of updates and only being communicated with I reached out to them.
The responses I would get would be along the lines of; ‘we know as much as you with regards to the process; as it’s on the website’
Or ‘We believe it to be 3 weeks late but it’s out of our hands’
Shocking.
A company affiliated to TAG as its quite literally in the namesake and those kind of responses.
And as for the timeframe I should’ve gone to PSA. It’s May now so 4 months total. So much for the 45 days turnaround.
It gets worse. The ‘DIG’ report comes back and they’ve graded it a 5.5.
Gobsmacked. I check the details and now the card whitening on the top right hand corner is cooked. I mean nobody would send it off to be graded (unless vintage) let alone regraded.
And this is from someone having submitted over 100 cards in their time.
Furthermore, the card now also has a crease/dent on the right hand side of the card significant enough to drop the grade 2.5 grades.
And leniency from ACE (who it had a 8 with) regarding surface is a well known no go.
It doesn’t not get picked up on.
Granted their centering is less strict but as for surface people get picked up on. Always.
The card is buggered. Quite literally. It’s clear that either GWT or TAG themselves have damaged my card.
The outcome. A card now LP-/MP+ and £29.48 compensation which they claim to have sent but even though I provided them with screenshots from my bank which shows no amount returned whatsoever.
I would very much advise people steer clear of these.
A shame because I was hoping for an alternative good grading company to pair with my ACE submissions but nope.
Definitely not. And please please send me the refund/compensation like you agreed to or I will take further action through the financial ombudsman or whomever will be the regulatory body. It’s out of order. I’ve provided my email address and suggested PayPal so you’ve got no excuses.

I’ve used a few grading companies over the years, and TAG honestly feels like the first one that’s actually built around transparency instead of just reputation.
The biggest difference is how they handle grading itself. With TAG Grading, you’re not just getting a number slapped on your card. You get a full digital report that breaks down exactly why your card got the grade it did. Subgrades aren’t vague or subjective, they’re backed by precise measurements and visuals. You can literally see the flaws mapped out. Compared to PSA, where you’re often left guessing why something got a 9 instead of a 10, TAG just feels way more honest.
Their slabs are another standout. They look clean, modern, and premium without being overdesigned. The label is easy to read, the case feels solid, and the whole presentation just looks more high-end. It actually enhances the card instead of distracting from it.
Customer experience is also noticeably better. Communication is clearer, turnaround updates make sense, and the whole process feels more transparent from start to finish. You’re not sitting there wondering what stage your submission is in or if something got lost in the system.
What’s really interesting is how the market is starting to respond. For a long time, PSA dominated resale value, no question. But now you’re seeing more TAG slabs selling at similar prices, and in some cases even higher, especially when buyers value the grading report and consistency. It’s not across the board yet, but the gap is definitely closing and in certain segments it’s already flipped.
Overall, TAG feels like where grading is headed. More data, less guesswork, better presentation, and a system that actually shows you what you’re paying for. It doesn’t rely on legacy reputation, it relies on proving the grade.

Totally transparent process, experienced management who know a lot about the hobby in general and clearly believe in the philosophy that TAG tries to maintain. Simple ordering system with customisable insurance options. I don’t grade with anyone else now.

I decided to grade my first card with TAG via a recent special offer for the Score service. Everything went perfectly and I got myself a 10 for my very first graded card! The online tracking makes the submission process really clear and the real plus is the detailed report that I can check online for the card. TAG's technology and slick service is a real game changer. The communication on my order by the TAG team was top notch too.
Highly recommend.

Used GWT for the first time last month and they have been superb; I have two submissions with them now and the first has already been past the point of grading.
They are always on hand to help and are extremely active in their discord community, no question is too small or stupid and everyone is friendly and approachable. It's reassuring to have people like this in the grading space, especially when we are sending off our prizes posessions to America.
