The owner/founder have to understand that people are paying for your brain, your chef level experience, your organisational skills, your timely delivery of some basic ingredient which is fraction of the cost. There is nothing wrong with paying a premium for cheap ingredients - I am mom with a full time job, I am paying just so I can let my brain rest after work and mindlessly follow a recipe.

I am not paying for an amateur telling people to put soy sauce and nutritional yeast in everything!!!

Both of the recipe I tried feels like what a uni student first time away from home come up with! Experimental, randomly invented way of cooking some rather simple sauce!

There's something wrong if your recipe for Bolognese sauce and Swedish meatball sauce have so much in common:

- Bolognese - Veg Stock, Tamari, Nutritional Yeast, Tomato Puree
- Swedish Meatball - Veg Stock, Tamari, Nutritional Yeast, Dijon Mustard, cooked with diced onions

I made the Bolognese first, already shocked that they are not using fresh tomatoes, or at least, tinned tomatoes... It just taste of salt and nothing else, even when I added lots of sugar to balance it out. I had to bulk it up with more than double the amount of pasta (because I do not have extra gnocchi at home), and now I have a whole fridge of awful tasting, bland pasta/gnocchi Bolognese.

When I cooked the Swedish meatball, I was careful enough to put only half the veg stock, Tamari and nutritional yeast. It still taste exactly the same as the Bolognese, very salty and no other flavour. I added an extra spoonful of my own Dijon mustard, another blended and fried (not diced) onion, 1/3 box of soy cream and some honey. My addition made the flavour more interesting but the intense saltiness is still overbearing. I was ok to eat it, but my partner and my kid left it.

Also why are you asking me to make my own Swedish meatball from some vege sausages, which is a complicated mission. But just to boil some fresh beans for 4 minutes?!!

If people order a food box from you, they are not asking for to make meatballs (a product that can be bought ready made) from sausage (another product that can also be bought ready made). just give them some vege meatball. Research the proper way to make a professional swedish sauce from scratch, and get people to pan fry the beans which also just take 4 mins but 100 times tastier!

Still have a couple of meal to try. But I will definitely research a proper recipe and use my own ingredients, so essentially, I am doing both the organisation and the ingredients gathering myself. Totally don't see the point of ordering this.

Really good to have interesting meals to cook and so far all has been very tasty and no waste either . Packaging is very good and very little plastic .

Really enjoying the Grubby meals - so much choice and all the meals are very straightforward to prep and the recipes are very tasty.

I have had endless issues with my boxes. Missing ingredients, gone off ingredients (happens often) and most boxes the ice pack is defrosted and leaks all over the box making spoiling the box. Today box I had ordered extras which were all spoiled by the defrosted ice pack.

Not great customer service either, it’s like they aren’t wanting to keep your custom. I give up now and whilst the boxes are convenient they aren’t worth the money!

The recipes are easy to follow and every single one I've tried has been delicious. Restaurant quality food prepared by myself to enjoy in my own house.

The meals are always imaginative and not repetitive. When I’ve needed help, support have been great and speedy. The quality is excellent and deliveries have been easy.

Great recipes that are super easy to follow and the ingredients last well. Really balanced and can select for higher protein when needed.

Great company and fantastic meal boxes. I’ve been a customer for over 4 years now and am continually impressed with the variety and quality of the recipes they provide. Any issues are always dealt with quickly and effectively. Overall would (and often do) highly recommend getting involved!

Love the mix of different vegan options and the fact that most can be prepared and cooked within 30-40 minutes. Also love the fact that there is minimal packaging (requirement for a clove of garlic gets you a fresh garlic bulb unlike some other home meal offerings). Recently enjoyed the mash up with Mildreds as it is one of my go to restaurants and I also love the Bosh offerings. A couple of times I have had a missing or substandard ingredient but both times I was contacted within 24 hours by customer service who offered a satisfactory resolution. Can't ask for more than that.

Excellent customer service. Easy to navigate site. Terrific variety of meals. Very pleased with my overall Grubby experience.

Lovely fresh food. Tasty and convenient

My mum and I started ordering your meals a few years ago, and they’ve honestly been a game-changer. I was already vegan, but my mum was a die-hard meat eater who used to think vegan food meant chewing on lettuce all day! Your meals have completely changed her mindset. Even though she still has the odd bit of meat here and there, she’s now mostly plant-based and regularly recommends Grubby to friends and family.

Ice packs always arrive melted leaving me questioning the safety of the food. My last box arrived open and the ice pack had leaked all over the now warm food. There was a puddle of water in the brownie box!
For the amount that the recipes cost, I would expect a little more care with packaging and not having to spend time going to the shop to replace spoiled items

I have only just started the grubby journey. I am vegan and my family vegetarian. We have been stuck in a rut eating the same old food or terrible frozen rubbish. I wanted a change and some inspiration to get my cooking mojo back.
Well, I have finally started to enjoy cooking again. The meals have been enjoyed , even by the fussy teen ( who was absolutely against me cooking as apparently my food tastes like poop ) the only thing fussy man refused to eat was the noodles. He saw a tiny bit of chilli 🌶 so far he has devoured most of the meals. My youngest has enjoyed everything. Husbeast has also munched it all.
The favourites have been the tofu brunch, the mushroom lasagne and the sticky vegan chicken with rice. This week we will try the vegan mac, popcorn tofu and mushroom pie. Hope it goes well
