If I could do zero stars I would

If I could do zero stars, I would. We purchased a new couch and the salesman talked up the insurance as though it would be great for a wide range of claims. Well, within about 8 months our couch started pilling, threads came loose, and generally just started falling a part. Something which was told to us would be "covered". It was not. Skip this insurance, it is a HUGE waste of money.

Havertys couch

Would give zero stars if I could. Filed a claim with them over 6 months ago, they have sent out 2 different technicians for them both to tell me the couch needs to just be completely replaced. They even sent an email stating they would not be able to perform a high quality repair but they are going to send another technician out to do it anyways. I have requested store credit and they just keep telling me a technician will come fix it. Ridiculously hard to get a hold of, their customer service hours are non existent, and your on hold for hours just to get hung up on with no call back. Havertys told me they don't use them anymore because of their poor service, wish I would have known that before I spent the money on their plan.

I purchased this insurance from…bad service!!!

I purchased this insurance from Haverty’s for every piece of furniture I bought for our new home. I have been waiting over 6 months now for them to fix my reclining love seat. I was also denied service for a rug and my adjustable bed frame. If you are buying furniture, and you are offed insurance ask which company they use. If it is Guardsman, then do not take it. They are a rip off company!!!

Our electronics broke and claim was…

Our electronics broke and claim was denied. We have a sectional with chairs that won’t recline. Canceling our warranty is not an easy process which requires writing a letter to a Post Office Box. They can’t do it over the phone.
Never Again!!!!

Wasted money on warranty

Turned in a claim on a duo couch and loveseat. Stains, and padding literally fell out of cushions. Claim denied. Said it was not covered under the plan. I will never get a warranty from this shady company again. Just wasted money. And I am telling everyone I know about my experience with them. I've actually thought about putting a very large sign on my trailer and driving around furniture stores....there is a sign in my front yard now..

1 STAR ONLY BECAUSE ZERO ISN’T AN OPTION. THIS SAMSUNG FRIDGE COST ME OVER $2,000 AND HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE. THREE MASSIVE FAILURES IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS — FIRST A LEAK, THEN BROKEN SEALS, AND NOW A DEAD EVAPORATOR. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A WORKING FRIDGE FOR OVER A MONTH, AND THE LAST THREE MONTHS HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT CONSTANT REPAIRS BACK TO BACK.

I HAVE CALLED OVER AND OVER TRYING TO REACH THE SUPERVISOR “LOUIS” (OR “LUIS”) AND HE NEVER CALLS BACK. I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE NAMED “TANIA” WHO WAS ABSOLUTELY USELESS AND DID NOTHING TO HELP. THIS “WARRANTY” IS A TOTAL SCAM — NOTHING BUT EMPTY PROMISES, WASTED TIME, AND ENDLESS STRESS.

TO ANYONE READING THIS: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GUARDMAN WARRANTY YOU WILL GET HORRIBLE SERVICE, AND A WARRANTY THAT IS WORTHLESS. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE BEFORE IT COSTS YOU THOUSANDS LIKE IT DID ME.

This is the worst company ever

This is the worst company ever.
Call center wait times R over 45 minutes and than they disconnect the call
I placed a claim 9 days ago and still have not heard back. They are awful and I believe the company is a scam

Waiting for cushion

This company is absolutely rubbish,since April we have been waiting for some replacement cushion, we have had to constantly ring them emailthem. we get no reply 15th of July there were supposed to arrive,they said there were in the warehouse waiting for delivery. its the 30th still waiting never ever would i go with this company and dfs shouldn't sell it to customers either.

I would give a zero if I could

I would give a zero if I could. I purchased a Guardsman Gold protection plan on 10/24/21 for $229.99 when I purchased a chair at Havertys Furniture.(I have a copy of the receipt) The electric mechanism in the chair broke. I was told I don’t have a plan. The chair is now useless. It is stuck half way up.

Dear Guardsman Customer Service,

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the service I have received from Guardsman regarding my broken sofa. I submitted a claim approximately two weeks ago after the wooden frame of my sofa broke, and to my surprise, I was told that I am not eligible for service—even though I purchased a 5-year protection plan and it has only been about 2 to 2.5 years since I bought the sofa. This response is completely unacceptable. I have tried calling several times, and each time I get a different representative who seems confused and gives me another phone number to try, passing me around with no real help. On one occasion, I was in the middle of explaining my issue when the representative rudely cut off the call, which I found extremely disrespectful. I even visited the store where I bought the sofa, and the same cycle of confusion and lack of accountability continued. I live in a household with small children and frequently host guests, and the broken sofa poses a serious risk. If anyone gets injured because of this damaged furniture, I will hold Guardsman accountable and pursue a claim based on the protection plan I paid for in good faith. I have submitted a case, and yet no one has properly followed up with me. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and refusal to honor the service agreement have left me with no choice but to say that I would never recommend Guardsman to anyone. I expect an immediate response and resolution to this matter.

Never again will I use guardsman to…

Never again will I use guardsman to insure any furniture. After paying over 250 I have my sofa years and it’s well looked after no spills or stains thank god on it. One of the zips broke from the cushion on the seat and they said that they can’t fix it because it’s structural damage. Never heard the likes of it I’d rather keep my money.

Doesn't cover breakage, thats the idea of cover ????

I have two Guardsman furniture protection for accidental damage its their elite protection. I had an accident dropping a cheese platter that chipped and bent the frame on a coffee table and then I dropped an acrylic paint pen on some leather stools and couldn't remove the paint. Both items were not on their covered sections. They state no cover for any breakage LOL surely thats what an accident cover is suppose to cover. As for my stools there was no mention of covered or not covered for paint but they still refused to pay out. What a scam don't waste your money.

Radio Silence

I really hoped the reviews wouldn't be true but they are. I put a claim in for my sofa to be repaired, it's now almost 6 months later and nothing. I was told the parts were being ordered and despite me messaging I've heard nothing. It's terrible the service from this company so far. I just want my sofa repairing.

I would rate it zero if I could

I would rate it zero if I could. We bought furniture from Haverty's with the Guardsman insurance (alot of money for nothing). The motor went out, we filed the claim and nothing is being fixed. We've been working on this through telephone calls and emails for the past month and still have gotten nowhere. Please don't waste your money on this insurance.

Terrible customer service and major lack of accountability

These people are unreal!! I filed 3 claims (unrelated, on 2 diff pieces of furniture, at diff times). They needed more pics for one of the claims. I called in and explained that I could quite get a pic of the entire rug I was advised to take the pics I could and reply to the email with them, which I did. I then had a surgery and wasn’t on top of the issue. When I didn’t hear anything for a long time, I called again. Turns out I had replied to a “no reply” email (but again, did what I was instructed thinking maybe it was an email that could be checked but wasn’t necessarily assigned to anyone and she was going to go in and grab the pics). Was them given another email to forward them to. I asked why I hadn’t heard anything on the other two claims and was told that they bundled them together (three unrelated claims). I forwarded my pics and included the email to the no reply since I was now out of the window to submit, thinking they’d see I had attempted. They denied all three of the claims. I called because it’s wrong to deny two unrelated claims that your company chose to bundle and lump into one. The lady was super rude and unhelpful, talking over me, refused to escalate the call, refused to even use logic as to how you deny claims that aren’t even related to the one with the supposed “late submittal”. Being that they could see I did submit it, and that it was within the time frame, and pull a recorded call and hear I was instructed to do so, you would think they would have been more customer facing. If I had it to do over, I would not purchase their less than mediocre service. I emailed asking for a supervisor to reach out and still have heard nothing. 100% dissatisfied.

Had a stain on the cushion

Had a stain on the cushion. Emailed gaurdsman and had an appointment within a week. Mark the technician arrived on the date and time arranged and even gave us a call to let us know he was on his way, he was very polite and professional and cleaned the whole cushion. Very satisfied

Worst company

The process took forever, and even when the technician came and inspected the furniture we were told the company will take care of us because he couldn’t fix it and it is bad. Months later I got a response in the email saying that it was debit for “wear and tear”. Unacceptable, that isn’t wear and tear, a table that is breaking.
