Knowledgeable, Kind and thorough
My daughter had a double appointment for an eye test and also a colour test to see whether she needed tinted glasses.
The staff were so knowledgeable, thorough, helpful and just so lovely.
THE BEST HAINE & SMITH we have been to.

I am a returning customer to H n S in Faringdon. I had a thorough eye test and ordered a new pair of spectacles.
All the staff were friendly, approachable and informative. There was even an offer of coffee. A great place to have your eyes seen to. Highly recommended.

The ladies in the opticians were all very helpful and confirmed what I kind of already knew! I needed glasses 😂
From start to finish they were very professional and attentive and answered any questions I had. These are my first glasses so there were a couple.
Going through the process they explained everything very clearly and took their time with me when it came to selecting my frames and types of lenses for my glasses.
I recommend them to anyone.

I had a wonderful experience with haine and Smith. The trainee optician was excellent, very friendly and thorough. I usually find choosing glasses the most difficult part but this time with Jessica's expert help and knowledge of colour and style and couldn't be more pleased with my new blue glasses. What amazing staff in Marlborough Haine and Smith store. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. The whole experience is explained clearly, you are valued as a customer and there is no rush. The optician and contact lens specialist made me feel relaxed, informed and answered all my questions. It made going for a sight test an experience rather than just attending an appointment. Thank you!!

I am not a regular patient of Haine and Smith - I was on holiday. I passed Westbury shop when I had severe blepharitis. Receptionist Jay was very kind and took me seriously and treated me with much respect. Optician Liz happened to come through and recommended very good treatment and advice. They could not have been nicer or more professional. If I lived regularly in Westbury, I would definitely be a regular customer! Thank you very much to all.

Highly Recommended
I have used the Highworth practice for many years and have never had any issue to complain about. All the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good range of glasses for all budgets and their contact lens care is 2nd to none. You cannot go wrong using Haine & Smith in Highworth.

Very good optician on the day
Very good optician on the day - 4ht November 2025 - standing in for my regular optician, Rachel Bath who in unwell.
A thorough examination of my ability to read the chart with and without my reading glasses with good results.
Also a thorough exam of both eyes under the very bright lights showed me that all was well in both eyes.
My reading glasses were cleaned and adjusted too which is helpful.

Kindness I won’t forget.
I visited the store in Trowbridge today and was warmly welcomed by Chloe. Chloe listened to my request and was visibly happy to assist me. No names mentioned, but I went to another shop who turned me away because the spectacles were not purchased from them. I was horrified to hear this in this day and age. Chloe, you are a gem.
