I have been booking through HalalBooking for more than 10 years and have always been extremely satisfied with their excellent service. Unfortunately, this year's experience was different.

Before booking, I contacted customer service and was given information that convinced us to go ahead with the reservation. Later, it turned out that this information was incorrect. Because of this, we were unable to receive a refund for the price difference. After several emails back and forth, we received apologies and understanding, but no actual solution, which was disappointing.

There was also an issue with our airport transfer. When we arrived, nobody was waiting for us because the pickup policy had changed and the driver was waiting in the parking area instead. We had never been informed of this, which caused unnecessary stress after our flight (especially with small kids). Only after quite some time did someone come to help us. Upon arriving at the hotel, I discovered that the taxi service had sent instructions—but only while we were already on the plane, making the message useless.

Finally, we also didn't receive the usual HalalBooking welcome bag.

I still appreciate HalalBooking and have had many positive experiences over the years, but this time the service fell short of the high standard I was used to.

I have been using the app for a while now and am very satisfied with it. It is easy to use, and I can quickly find exactly what I am looking for. The layout is clear, navigation is straightforward, and everything works smoothly. Overall, a great app that does exactly what I need it to do.

I would have given 5★ but had an issue with the booking. I initially paid a part payment with the understanding that I had a few more days to pay the full balance. The reservation was then automatically cancelled for not being paid in full on time, which came as a genuine surprise as I thought I still had two days left.

The original confirmation email was replaced by the cancellation email, so I couldn’t refer back to the first booking details. I called a staff member immediately. They were able to see that the payment deadline had passed, and explained it was due to the automated system.

I told them I was ready to pay the full amount right away, but because the booking had been cancelled, I had to go through the website and book again. Unfortunately the price was now higher. I really appreciated that the staff member tried to help and offered a discount, but even with that the total was still more than my original booking. At the time I’d already struggled to decide if the original price was worth it.

Given the wording of the email, I can see how someone might believe they still had two days. In that situation I feel a bit of discretion to honor the original price, especially when I was ready to pay in full immediately, would have gone a long way.

On a positive note, the website was straightforward to use and I was grateful for the halal hotel recommendations.

The hotel is in an excellent location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The bathrooms are a little outdated and could benefit from renovation, but they were clean and fully functional.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would happily recommend this hotel because of its great location and excellent service.

Spacious rooms, great facilities, friendly and approachable staff. Food was amazing!
