Excellent customer service, very clean environment. Ms Brown, branch manager is always well presented and extremely knowledgeable in her role.
Ms Brown and her team always takes the time, no rushing with the service they provide to each customer. They stay in touch with you, with a gentle call, informing when you need to stay on top of your contract.
I am very happy I found them. I have recommended the Peackham branch to family and friends who have also used them and was also happy with the professional service Ms Brown and her team deliver. Top marks all around!

I attended the Sunderland branch of H&T and dealt with Christine. She was both professional and friendly as were her two colleagues.
The purpose of my visit was to exchange unwanted jewellery for cash. I have never done this before so I was a little apprehensive as to the procedure. I need not have worried.
I was seen immediately and Christine patiently evaluated my jewellery with the help of her colleagues as I had brought quite a bit, unaware it is a time consuming thorough process.
I was offered two choices of payment and left feeling it had been worthwhile.
I can certainly recommend the Sunderland shop.

Good: someone actually answers the phone.
Bad: Everything else .
For the first time I decided to buy a watch online. I paid , expecting a delivery in around 3 days ( absolutely normal for a UK retailer) . However, the item was not dispatched the 1st day or even the 2nd day. On the 3rd day I received a message from DPD that they are expecting the parcel. For those who don't know, DPD will collect today and deliver the next day. So I was expecting to receive it the 4th, or maybe the 5th day. The parcel was not collected the 4th day or the 5th day. And the 6th day is Sunday, so no chance. At best the collection might be on the 7th day with delivery on the 8th?! At best . I received parcels from China in 7 days!
When I called asking to cancel the order , the answer was , since the tracking exists they might not be able to cancel ( remember, parcel is NOT collected) and even so, the refund wil take 10 days. In 2026 there is no excuse for a large retailer to have this kind of waiting times . Neither for postage,neith for refunds .
Don't use the online service

I was greeted within seconds, I registered with them and got my euros for my holiday.

I was served by Nicole for the duration of my visit, she was very patient, knowledgeable and took the time with me. Both ladies were really nice and had rapport with both myself and my friend. I received first class service and would recommend the Hamilton store for all your jewellery valuations, other services are offered and there is also watch repairs and jewellery available to purchase

Gateshead store lovely friendly staff made things so easy.

Lynette at Westerhailes branch was super helpful and tentative. I felt that she really listened and personalised my service. I explained that I wasn't sure about buying a necklace as I'd bought from a sister branch. To cut a good chat short she told me that I could put a deposit down on another necklace that I liked and wasn't sure about. I felt that there was no pressure to buy, she answered all my questions, was very patient and I trusted what she said. I even bought a pair of earrings that I hadn't planned on but have been thinking about buying a pair for a long time! I will be back in 3 months to either buy or get a voucher to spend with the deposit money. Thank you!

Michael at the Newcastle West Road store was an excellent help in making me understand the terms and conditions of the loan that I took today. He was very helpful and went through all the terms and conditions patiently and answered all my questions. I would surely recommend them for any service they provide.

Beki was very kind and patient while dealing with my enquiry. Would go again.

Hamilton store the staff are amazing always will to help and especially the management team

I visited today to ask about a diamond and gold ring. Although the valuation was much lower than I had hoped, the service I received was excellent.

The lady who helped me took the time to properly look into the ring and explain everything clearly, rather than giving me a quick estimate. She was patient, kind and treated me with respect at a time when I am feeling very worried.

I explained that I was trying to raise money for  some treatment, or possibly for a cremation if the worst happened, and she showed genuine compassion.

I didn't sell the ring in the end, but I really appreciated the honesty and professionalism. Thank you for your kindness.

Jackie at Hamilton store was excellent, very helpful, friendly and made sure I got the best deal. A pleasure to deal with.
