The software sucks........customer service is almost 2 hour delay everytime you call. Nothing gets fixed ..all I can say is get a good lawyer if you sign up for this system.

My evaluation went well- Penny was easy to communicate with and effectively review HarborTouch. I will say that the installation process of this system could've been much better. There is always a lot to learn after the install guy leaves, but there were several things that the company could institute to set up businesses in a more productive manner. The biggest one that comes to mind for me is that your tech people know that microsoft sends out updates on Tuesday's and the easiest way to avoid systems freezing and then forcing update installs is to set up the system to automatically run updates outside of business hours on Tuesday nights or very early Wednesday mornings. I have that set up now, thanks to HarborTouch customer support team, but I had my systems freeze and force install updates four separate occasions before I found a representative who explained the issue to me and set my business up for success.

Worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
We have now been locked out of our system for the third time this year. They require you to call and sign a very vague "inactivity form" in order to unlock. Was told it was for having more cash transactions than credit card ones.
We are a smaller local bar and do not get much foot traffic due to our location. People tend to spend cash here more than anything and we were not aware of the requirements before signing with them.
Their sales tactics are about as scummy and manipulative as they come. Support calls on average last us about 2-3 hours with the "record" at 8 hours. All day I was on the phone with them (mostly on hold as I see they're known for looking at past reviews.
If you're a smaller restaurant do NOT go with this company. Their POS is awesome and well-designed so shoutout the tech guys for that, but on the backend the company is what I like to call dog water.
We are cancelling as soon as we are able to, not even sure what the cancellation fees are because they won't give us a direct answer.
The cancellation process is brutal. Called to unlock our POS they were holding hostage again today and it ended with asking about cancellations. It takes 3-5 days to get a FORM that should be easily mailed and another 30 days to fully cancel the account???????????? Company's full of bull day in and day out
Rant could go longer but we'll cut er short this time.

COVID hit so I cancelled. They sent me the POS anyway.
I told them I didn’t want it so I sent it back.
And now they are charging me over 3,000 dollars!!! Thieves!!!

Terrible Company Even during covid they changed their Policies and now hold companies to a 1 year payment. It also does not matter if you signed up prior to the change. Very deceptive practices and fees.

I have been a Harbortouch customer for more than 12 years and I can’t wait to get rid of them forever. They change the rules whenever they want, they nickel and dime you to death. Only thing I can say to you, if you are considering them. Don’t do it. You are simply a number to them, and your numbers will end up in their pockets. Zero stars 000

Not having any training I found it fairly easy to manage the system with little problem. Support was always helpful when needed.

This company is by far one of the worse I have ever dealt with in my life. They are the kind of people that nickel and dime you until you are bankrupt. Im surprised they do not charge you to call customer service to speak to a rep. We Endured 2 years of torture here. I do not recommend them at all. Just not for a small business

My wife and I chose Harbortouch for our POS. It was easily the absolute worst business decision we have made. It took us almost 10 months to Officially Cancel our Harbortouch service. The hoops that they create for you to jump through to cancel are despicable. They are still to this very day trying to take money from our bank account. (2/4/2021). We have had to go to our bank and specifically block Any and All transactions from Harbortouch. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. !□!

In February of 2020 I signed an agreement to get a new POS system from HarbourTouch systems
In March Covid-19 hit and killed the bar and restaurant business. Luckily I had not taken delivery of ANY equipment, absolutely NONE. So Shift4 was really not vested in anything. It would be really simple for them to just cancel.
I called and explained that I am closed and losing money and that they have no equipment here and nothing really invested. I asked them to please cancel all the paperwork and that I may be going out of business and have lost my life savings.
Shift4’s response to that was: but Sir, you signed the paperwork, you can cancel after one year.
I explained again that you have done ZERO processing and have ZERO equipment here, please cancel everything. Again the reply was Sir you signed the paperwork.
WHAT A HORRIBLE HEARTLESS COMPANY. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SHIFT4
