The software sucks........customer service is almost 2 hour delay everytime you call. Nothing gets fixed ..all I can say is get a good lawyer if you sign up for this system.

I’ve had them for 6 years
I’ve had them for 6 years. They have the worst customer service. Just look at their reviews anywhere and you can see why you must stay away. RUN AWAY from them. I now have TOAST and I couldn’t be happier.

Harbor touch is terrible
Harbor touch is terrible! I do not recommend them at all! They auto renew your contract unless you notify them in writing 30 days before you contract renewal date! This is a very deceptive practice. In my case if I want to charge me $228 a month until the end of my term. Please avoid this company at all costs!

Worst scammers in the business
Harbortouch is absolutely the worst company to do business with. I went into an agreement with them three years for a POS system. Long story short the business did not do well and I was not able to get out of the contract. Even though I had zero sales I was not able to get out of the contract. I was told I would pay $39 a month but was charged $131 every single month for three years. I paid it and was happy just to be done with the company and the contract after three years. I was told via email by the sales representative that the equipment would be mine at the end of three years. At the end of three years of paying this exorbitant amount I cancelled and was told again the equipment was mine when I spoke to a representative as I was canceling. I was told that the excerpt on the cancellation form about returning equipment was part of the normal cancellation form but my contract was valid from 2017 and I would not have to return the equipment. Last week I was charged $700 for the equipment. I called and spoke to a customer service rep for an hour who confirmed that I did not need to return the equipment and that I would be refunded the $700. This week later I called back about the refund only to be told that they would not refund the money. I paid for equipment for 3 years spent almost $5000 with this company all the while not making a profit in my business only for them to charge me $700 for equipment when I have in writing that the equipment was to be mine after 3 years. They are the worst scammers in the business. I have left messages for management to call me. I have been hung up on twice. I have not been rude in my communication, just very direct and somehow the phone is disconnected.

Do not do business with harbor touch. They have very dishonest business practices. I have been a customer of Harbortouch for over 20 years. I was a happy customer until I tried to closed out my account. Due to covid -19, I have had to closed my business. I have been trying to close out my merchant account with Harbortoch for the last 5 months and have been give the run around from ever agent I have spoken with. I have been lied to on ever call. I have been charge over 75.00 per months for the last 5 months for zero transactions. This is not acceptable and very dishonest. Catherine Favreau

This is by far the WORST point of sales system I have ever used. They are holding our funds and have given me the run around on how to collect them when all I needed to do was change our bank account information. They have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT with!!!!!!!! Avoid them with all costs

Absolute THIEVES.....LIARS....AVOID...AVOID....AVOID. believe me no matter what the say they are LIARS. they change things whenever THEY want and they have access to your bank account so they take out whatever they want whenever they want....when you call to inquire they refer back to your contract which stipulates they can do whatever...I can go on and on but I won't....please please please...no matter what B.S talking points they give they are LIARS I promise you. you will spend a great deal of time after you sign with them try to rectify many many of THEIR faults...DO NOT SIGN with them....TRUST ME.

My county order all restaurant to be closed due to covid-19 from 3/15 to 5/31. I explain to them Harbortouch shouldn't charge me during the shut down. I was told that not their fault. Even my landlord very nice enough not to charge me the rent during the shut down because he know this covid-19 affect everybody. Now my restaurant closed for good and i'm stuck with Harbortouch for another 8 months without income. Please don't do with business company. they don't understand the hardship every restaurant going through loosing their business. I was told if i don't pay them they would sent me to collection agency so I credit will be ruin...
I have been using Harbortouch for 12…
I have been using Harbortouch for 12 years and am absolutely floored by their response when I closed my business and informed them of my need to close my account. I also was told of the "automatic renewal" for 3 years and would owe $600.00 if I closed my account today. I did not close immediately because they would have immediately taken that amount out of my account. This is a complete and utter scam! Do NOT do business with them! I'm not sure yet how I'm going to resolve this. I was told there would be no allowances made for covid-19 closed businesses. Since that conversation they have upped my fees it seems and my business is closed. They currently charged my account $65.05 and $22.53 for a gateway fee that I've been paying that was "grandfathered" in and no one knows why. I just spoke with them and they are still determined to hold me to contract untill June 2021😡.

Very Disappointing
I tried canceling right away in 2017 after they had changed my rates but they said I was locked into my contract and needed to do the three years otherwise pay a large sum of money (I forget the actual amount). They did change my rates back but never did refund any portion of the money where I was overcharged and I fulfilled my 3 year contract. In March 2020 Covid hit and they started charging my account on a daily basis. I called to inquire about this and they explained it was their new policy; which was fine but at that time I explained that my contract should be up March 17 202 and they agreed and they said I would be able to cancel at any time I just needed to call back the day I wanted to actually cancel my account. The day I call to cancel my account it was a pleasant conversation at first where they were offering to do a rate review and reduce some fees to keep my business. After I politely declined they told me I would have to pay $1260 to cancel my account because it auto renewed for an additional two years. The phone conversation was not so polite after this. I was baffled since I had already made two phone calls where they told me I would not have any issues canceling my account. It seems to me this company needs to make money by early termination fees because their customer service and rates will not let them compete on a fair playing field. There are many options out there do your homework because unfortunately there are places like HarborTouch with very shady business practices.

Closed for covid 19
Closed for covid 19. Called after ordered to close to stop billing while closed. Was told no problem, they continued billing plus added a monthly charge for credit card processing while not processing cards. Customer service if you can stay on hold long enough is terrible. This company only cares about their bottom line. Stay away from them you will regret it.
Make cancelling account almost impossible
Harbortouch has the worst customer service, serving the run around for 15+ minutes with 2 transfers over the phone. Call to close my account, told have 3 months left on auto renewed 2 year contract and they can't set up the cancellation early?? So I am to call back and be fed more time wasting dishonesty on the phone for how long? And what is the window of time I have to cancel?? Seems with this system they win and I never get to cancel. Can't set up to close account when contract is over but will renew on its own another 2 years?? Ridiculous at best and a total customer trap.

Don't, Don't, Don't.. I switched with the PROMISE of paying the same or better and Lies, Lies, Lies.. and NOW I'm Locked in for 3 years.. Oh by the way nobody will call you back !!! Horrible!!!!! I just paid 6% on fees for both January and February Each !!!!!! that is the worst price I have heard of !!!

Customer service is excellent
Customer service is excellent, however I was lead to believe my business could accept HSA health savings cards when I signed up with Harbortouch. This is NOT the case. I've asked them for assistance and am told they don't have the capability. It is beyond my comprehension that POS systems today can't process all types of cards.
