The software sucks........customer service is almost 2 hour delay everytime you call. Nothing gets fixed ..all I can say is get a good lawyer if you sign up for this system.

I stuck with Harbortouch for the full five years of my contract. During the third year of my contract they increased my discount rate by 40% which was costing me over $1,000 a month. I contacted them and they put me in touch with a retention specialist who assured me that I would be put on a list of "merchants who don't want their rates increased" and that I would get a refund and have my rates lowered back to their original rate. No refund and my rate was never lowered back to the agreed upon rate. Horrible customer service and tech support was helpful but it usually took hours on hold to get anyone to help.

Terrible Customer Service, software is even worse
I have been using Harbortouch for 4 years and it is getting progressively worse. I now have them in three locations. I have multiple issues with them. No one is willing or able to help me. Latest issues have been with their pin pads. They rolled out their pin pads without them being compatible with their online ordering platform. How is this possible, every other software company has been able to figure this out. They fixed that problem after 2 months now we had to pull the pin pads again because their own gift cards weren't compiling.For some reason the nightly report stopped giving accurate labor percentage readings . Its telling me my labor is 4000% , which is impossible . It makes me wonder if any of their other formulas are off . The "rep" is nothing more than a salesman who knows nothing of the product. The "rep" tells me it never calculated labor , which it did every night for 3 years.. Everything he tells me is wrong . Their lighthouse back of the house system is worthless.If you enter anything from the lighthouse it shuts down the system completely. They knew about this but somehow keep the lighthouse up with no warning or without taking it down . Ive spent countless hours on the phone with them, emailing them, talking to their reps, no one is helping me with any of the problems , no one cares, they actually tell me that i don't have a problem.When you do call you are on the phone for 30 minutes to an hour before someone talks to you. Id give them less than a star if i could

WE HAVE HAD ISSUES FROM THE VERY BEGINNING WITH THIS COMPANY. HAD CONVERSATIONS WITH SOMEONE IN THE CUSTOMER RENTENTION TEAM. MADE PROMISES AND FELL THROUGH. WE ARE FED UP AND EXPLORING OTHER AVENUES. WE DO NOT TRUST HARBORTOUCH TO DELIVER WHAT THEY PROMISED.

True to their word
I just started a new business and still learning the ropes was confused and frustrated ready to throw in the towel got a email from Justan Fields then a call from sweet and professional lady after speaking 5 mins on phone a load was taken off my shoulders and learned this company and their staff want me to make it in business and let me know they are with me every step of the way.t what im trying to say after I was mad and ready to give up I got total relieve about were im going with my business and know im dealing with a honest strait forward company that is there for me 24/7 and just want to thank you all for everything. Worst company I've dealt with in my life!!
Our experience with Harbortouch was terrible from the beginning. The programmers kept screwing up our inventory. It took 4 attempts before we had something acceptable. Then they shipped us the wrong system. At this time I tried to cancel the order. The salesman talked me into giving them another shot. When they shipped out the new system, we ended up getting a case of receipt paper instead. By the time the proper hardware was installed, several months had gone by. We never could get it to work properly, and now they want to charge us an early termination fee. This company is a complete joke! Don't waste your time. My 1-star review is generous.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. I have been a customer for over 3.5 years. I have given them plenty of time to redeem themselves. Recently the POS system has been breaking down at least 3-5 times a week and I have been on the phone with tech support for hours upon hours. I have screen shots to prove it. I also encourage you to call Harbortouch and fact check my file, Scoop House in NJ. My system has been crashing for years, and during some of my most busiest times. I am at my wits end, I want to improve my business but all my time is being used just trying to get Harbortouch to provide the support I am paying for. I wanted to go away quietly, and cancel my contract after 3.5 years but they auto-renewed my contract telling me I owe for another three years. Funny how my POS system was 5 years and when you read the fine print it there is another part of the contract that reads 3 years for auto-renewal. Intentionally confusing. Signing on with Harbortouch is the only thing I regret since opening my business. In addition, Harbortouch has owed me a refund since Jan 7, 2017.

Terrible System
We got stuck with Harbortouch when we purchased a business from previous owners and I wish we never kept the system, Rates, fees and hardware are high priced for mediocre customer service and a system that freezes and is slow too much of the time. We constantly have to restart it which takes 20 minutes which is too much time when we have customers to serve. Will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Since I took over my business that was already running with harbortouch I have had very few issues and the few that we have had were remedied very quickly and with very little pain LOL(ear pain from being on the phone too long). I have been very pleased with my experience thus far.

We've had good experiences so far. Customer service has usually been very helpful. There have been a couple instances that I've called and left under the impression the person wasn't sure how to fix the problem or wasn't understanding what I was asking.
So far so good.
No major problems that customer service couldn't help over the phone. Installation was not pretty. It looked like a squirrels nest of wires. 1 phone call and another installer came out and did a great job. So far so good.

I am a customer with 9 days into my new system, my work station has frozen up. I called and worked with a tech today, the problem was fixed for 20 min. Then the same problem came back, i have waited over 3.5 hours for technical support and spent over 1.5 hours on hold. This is not what Harbor Touch web site represents, what the company represents, what John Taffer represents. I just want people to know if its to good to be true....look at what the company represents and go from there. Interally when i finnaly spoke to a customer representative, in frustration...i was told that i needed to calm down and talk to him professionnally...the problem is that they have know way of acting professional because internally they have no way to cummunicate. When i asked Matt at extention 275 to talk to a superviser and could i have an extention...i was told that Kim Liable or John Villian were on duty but they have not extention. If i as a customer you can not have direct contact with a supervisor how does this company expect to resovle any customer problems if i/we as a customer have no ability to cummunicate with someone other than a person who tells you that you need to slow down and speak professionally. Believe me Matt i know you dont like to be talked to in a frank and curt manner, but if time was not of the essence, and my customers were not being handled properly. No one would talk to you in this manner! Poor poor poor customer service.
